Yeah...and how exactly are u doing you going to determine that 'suiciding' occurs? What if you simply trip and fall into the pond?   WG doesn't care bro!! as long as their battles are less than 5 mins and uniscums get to stat pad, they are happy, whether a particular player drowns or whatever, is irrelevant to them.   Besides, don't everyone hate arty anyways? If WG starts nitpicking on every single aspect of random battles, they will have to spend their entire budget on just handing out fines for players we're already at 25K players or lower for NA WoT, if they start banning players for 'suiciding', people will just move on...

Draschel:  Well, if you watch Skill, you know what I and many others, mean by arta. It does not have to be your thing, I am certainly not forcing it upon you, but it is a thing, known by lots of viewers. Submitting a replay can clearly exemplify a purposeful act of suicide. This is different from an honest accident, people (those who receive tickets and answer) can clearly distinguish the two. At the end of a game, simply driving into the water and drowning to avoid fighting overwhelming enemy odds, is different than falling off a bridge at high speeds and getting crushed. You have a terrible attitude, a total lack of character, and holy woe - it is ignorant. I pity that. I doubt people will move on, if unsportsmanlike behavior starts receiving disciplinary action.  Obviously war gaming does care about nitty little things. There have been many examples in the past. and continue to. They have an actual reporting mechanism, for in-game events of  inappropriate sportsmanship.

Any player typing after his own destruction. Any player with a sub 48% win rate Any player with sub 3k pr playing above tier 6

Draschel:  Unfortunately, no. People have the right to be casual. They have the right to play at a subpar level, so long as they play justly, fairly.Driving out and getting killed, due to carelessness or impatience, is very different compared to driving into a lake and drowning. .....One thing is a player, ceasing to exist and being destroyed by the enemy, though not necessarily their intent or perceived outcome .....The other is a player, ceasing to exist and committing suicide, directly based on their actions with the intent and known outcome

DeviouslyCursed:  You might be referring to something different than what I was talking about. But what I was saying isn't feeling like I need to keep that high rating. It was not wanting to play a hero I know I couldn't preform well in, and basically screwing over the my 4 teammates. I would literally have to lose a bunch of matches to get to the point where my team had a chance of winning. And if I decided to play Artemis again, I would tear through teams until my rating climbed back up. So playing your best or trying your best is one thing. Being forced to play certain tanks or gimping your team by being massively overrated is another. 15v15 may alleviate that a bit (as opposed to MOBA's 5v5). But it would be a game killer if they didn't implement a per tank rating where there is absolutely no reason for not doing it. You select the tank before going into battle so the MM absolutely knows what tank you are going to play in that match. As opposed to many MOBA match types where you pick the hero after teams are set, so they have to use an account rating for those type of matches. But still, any MOBA where you pick the hero then enter the queue, that should be a per hero rating, not overall account.

Draschel: Watching skill4ltu on a daily basis, and guys going a little off-track for a moment - I strongly recommend him as part of your tanks routine and for catching some content. Whether casual or competitive, you will not be disappointed. For a variety of reasons, you can easily learn tips and tricks / honesty / humor / ample class coverage / tech tree show cases / he is an understanding guy.  But back to the topic at hand, suicides. I know every class can commit self-assured suicide such as falling from cliffs, slamming into rock, shell explosions, accidental over-turns, drowning.....it is not exclusive to arta - but arta seem to do it most often. And almost always end-game, in a pathetic show of bad sportsmanship sneering at the enemy. Why I bring up skill4ltu? Well it is getting silly, on a day to day basis, there is a good chance he mentions and even encounters arta drowning end-game. Remember ranked, where team kills on arta at the start of the game, was highly publicized and under scrutiny? And WG reacted harshly? WG needs to do the same thing here. To all classes. This topic maybe a beaten horse, but something needs to happen, it is just too very common. I understand accidental deaths occur, but all it takes is a simple replay sent in and analysis, to conclude definite sportsmanship and disciplinary action Tank locking the vehicle for 12 hours? Triple the fines after battle? Paying a dividend to 14 of your team mates as compensation, for your suicide while they actually played?  Temporary 1 bans?  These are just ideas. I think they are just. Play fair, be a sport, don't commit self-suicide.

Draschel:  Excuse me, but by factual premise, more underperforming, subpar players are irrational, toxic, ignorant than the good players. Given the chance, good players are present and amicable, keen to offer advise. It is no secret that their services are even contracted and paid for, in order to provide success is some sort or another. By fact of more casual, subpar, under performing individuals existing than good ones do, it is correct to say that there are more bad apples in that category simply using statistics of variance. By saying ignorant things like this, ''that some of them are''  and  ''these people want their over-buffed tanks buffed''  is ridiculous. Everyone has had the opportunity, to get themselves a very strong and capable object 260, 279E, EBR105. More so, you could have purchased T-22 medium tank, 121B has been in the bonds store, and heck sakes 907 and Chieftain may be available soon enough too. Why cry foul? Get one of your own. And by saying "some of them are toxic'' are you trying to imply that ''none of casual and bad players are not?''   lol?  By the way, HE rework will not buff over-powered tanks entirely, and in many instances will nerf them too.

If one could purchase guaranteed high tier and all teammates and opponents worse players losses and draws would still occur. The same also if everyone had it. Though then no battles would occur.

TeriyakiTanker:
It would be an interesting study, but in my opinion the Defender is about as P2W as this game gets, from the previous discussions on it you can add a few percentage points for an average player, would be interesting to see if that still holds true.  Even if it does I think that is a pretty acceptable level of P2W.

What is it going to change? Your perception that maybe you will contribute to this next match? The simple fact is, you CAN affect the match as bottom tier in a 2 tier spread. Random battles are anything but random.  WG has an algorithm that determines which side is going to win, in spite of any XVM  predictions.  The randomness of any of these  battles was lost for sure when they closed down the West Coast server, turned it into the lost proposition that they call the SA server, and consolidated the US & Canada a single server.  That single action truly screwed up match making more than any template(s) they have ever implemented, during the tenure of this game.  Don't believe me, doesn't matter, it's so and the statistics prove it.

DeviouslyCursed:  Oh look, it's Baked and his lies again. The statistics have proved you wrong, over and over again. But hey, you can't fix stupid. Battles are random, there is no predetermination by WG of which side will win.

I was in a 60TP on Himmelsdorf, and 60-70% of the tanks in the battle were tier 8 tanks. None of their tier 9 or 10 tanks were Capable Heavy's, so guess what I did? No strategy, I just pressed W and proeeced to farm all the weak little tier 8's in front of me for an easy 5K Damage game. They shot me, and tried to survive, some penned, some failed, but it didn't matter. with 2800 HP and a 750 damage gun, i'll glady take a 2-300 damage hit from a weak little tier 8 to chew away half of his health any day. Some of these 8's mind you were blue and Purple players, so these were not bad players I was farming.

But when a tier 10 Tank is pressing W on you, and you are 2 tiers below him, it doesn't matter if you are a Super-unicum 70%er player in an IS3, you just die. There is no chance of you winning the engagement, it's an unfair matchup that just gets you killed, bullied, and farmed. Don't worry Mr Tashunka, I'm defending you here. Tier 8's should not see tier 10's, as even if you are super purple, like the IS3 I farmed, you got a tier 10 monster pressing W on you, it's GG.

I believe that with more experience I’ll be able to push it up to more like 55%, and hopefully higher. For now, even though I average purple wn8 numbers, I’m a just a 53 percent potato lol, and I’m not afraid to admit it!

TeriyakiTanker:
No it does not, no single stat in this game tells you everything about a player.  For instance my win rate is 55% am I better than you?  How much of my win rate is due to platooning?  Do I play low tiers on the SA server against bots?  What is my average tier played?  A lot more goes into being good than just your win rate.

churchill50: Personally, I despise the Sheridan and would rather stick with the T49.It's also generally held that the 105mm gun on the Sheridan is the better choice. The 152mm gun just doesn't work that well at tier 10. But, if you wanted to use the derp:Standard HE should be your ammo of choice. Prem HE for shots that you need to do a bit more damage, or if you're a tryhard. Prem HE will generally do 50-100 more damage per shot than standard HE.The HEAT ammo is insanely situational, but does have its place. The best examples of when to use it are on the sides and rears of German tanks since HE won't pen them. With HEAT, you can pen all but the Maus, E100, JPE100, VKK, Pz VII, and Mauschen if I remember correctly. For equipment, I would either use what you have or IRM/V-Stab/Rammer for a more gun-focused loadout.

Jaguarz: You should be thankful for such miscreants identifying themselves so readily so you can add to your ignore list and know to avoid helping them at every opportunity in future.

Jaguarz:  Yes, because anything you set yourself is intangible and meaningless because the onus in on you FROM you and unlike ranked there is no time based limitation whereas ranked is locked to a specific time per day and for a limited time overall.I play to win, usual maintain 60% but Im not going to lose anything from a loss and after getting in this seasons gold league and watching plenty of streams the variance in play is palpable and clearly noticeable. I played ranked for 2 seasons for the Concept 1b, no other reason the mode is garbage personified.

The moment you even think about penalizing any players on the winning team, or rewarding the top players on the losing team, you encourage bad gameplay. Not to mention that the tank of choice right now appears to be hulldown/sniper mediums, as they are the usually the last to die in losses but first to farm in wins. Terrible for dynamic gameplay.   Alternatively, role XP could be tripled and damage/assist XP should be cut in half, but this wouldn't fix the fundamental problem.

Jaguarz:  Meh, why should garbage players who have to be carried, and it sure wont just be one waster on the team, get rewarded but someone who through no fault of his own or his herculean efforts on the losing side lose out? Its literally removing any vestiges of skill based rewards and making it entirely RNG based on what players you get on your team. Not only that but when you see you team is on a loss you may as well just bail and ride the team mate RNG train for the next game. Dont get me wrong, ranked in ever aspect is terrible, but your premise is equally as awful.

Jaguarz: Ok, but.... why? I mean I get its a Russian company who makes this game but wheres the link? Was he a tank commander before becoming a cosmonaut? This just seems random as balls, like if they did a event to commemorate Babe Ruths last home run.....

Why do Some Argue Against Skill Based MM?

DeviouslyCursed:  It won't solve the problem though, especially in the upper division. The difference between the best purples and the lowest... what?... greens? ... is huge.  I don't think there's enough blue+purple to make it work, so you'd have to include greens at least. Then there's the issue of "what if you are on the edge of the 2 divisions?" On one side you get to be top dog, bump up too far and you get hosed by being bottom. There would be an incentive to just throw games until you're back to being top dog in the bottom division again. One solution would be for MM to pick a rating for the match, and allow players to enter based on a threshold or range. No divisions, but you generally never play against players outside a certain range. However, I still think there's not enough upper players in NA, so the upper range would have to be large. So probably doesn't fix the issue. Maybe have a thing where as queue time mounts, the range increases to bring players in to fill the slots.
