Why do Some Argue Against Skill Based MM?

DeviouslyCursed:  You might be referring to something different than what I was talking about. But what I was saying isn't feeling like I need to keep that high rating. It was not wanting to play a hero I know I couldn't preform well in, and basically screwing over the my 4 teammates. I would literally have to lose a bunch of matches to get to the point where my team had a chance of winning. And if I decided to play Artemis again, I would tear through teams until my rating climbed back up. So playing your best or trying your best is one thing. Being forced to play certain tanks or gimping your team by being massively overrated is another. 15v15 may alleviate that a bit (as opposed to MOBA's 5v5). But it would be a game killer if they didn't implement a per tank rating where there is absolutely no reason for not doing it. You select the tank before going into battle so the MM absolutely knows what tank you are going to play in that match. As opposed to many MOBA match types where you pick the hero after teams are set, so they have to use an account rating for those type of matches. But still, any MOBA where you pick the hero then enter the queue, that should be a per hero rating, not overall account.
