Does win ratio tell the whole stat story?

DeviouslyCursed: Logically this is a false statement.... Win rate
indicates how likely you are to help carry your team.
Anything below 50% you are likely a liability while anything
above you're an asset. This get a bit more
complicated, as all tanks have a different win rate. For
example your win rate in STB-1 indicates that you're an asset;
however, your IS7 may indicate you help the other team.
There is another issue, some tanks are great support vehicles, but
they need a team to support. Since team is selected at
random, the times you are on a bad team will lower your win
rate. Best example are soft heavy tanks (AMX 50 B), scouts,
you're likewise not going to hear about SPG carry very often.
As Tsavo mentioned, platooning influences win
rate. Win rate gives a meaningful indication on
how well you're doing after you play many games in a tank.
I'm not excited about my 60% win rate in IS4, I played just few
game sin it, however, I know there is something wrong with my
Krankvagn play at 44%. It is a logically sound
statement. Yes: The best statistic to indicate skill at
winning matches is Win Rate. No: Because Win Rates are not
directly comparable between tanks/tiers/etc. Also, platoons.
