Tanks seem to blow up pretty easily.. and with that means usually respawns... will there be respawns or will you/the enemyt stay dead when kill like in NavyField?
if not, how will you prevent spawn camping and people doing stupid stuff because they can just come back to life, which also bring into question, whats the death Penalty? (whats to make me think twice about just running into the enemy base all the time and blowing up)

Jeremy Taylor: There are no respawns in World of Tanks. When your tank is
destroyed you may watch the battle till the end or return to the
lobby, repair the tank (by clicking the button) and join another
battle at once. If the heavy tank strikes the light one - yes, it
will blow up instantly, just like in real life.

Jeremy Taylor: We will manage historical events on the regular basis when the
final version of the game is out. Now to real places. The primary
measures for us as for developers are dynamic gameplay and fun.
These measures strongly depend on the game balance. To make the
long story short I will compare our maps with paintball fields.
Those fields are made in a way to manage exciting battles:
buildings, shields, uplands, bottom lands and so on. The same about
our maps: we are creating the maps that will deliver tons of fun.
Of course, existing locations inspire us when making this or that
type of a map. All our maps will give the atmosphere WWII
warfare.
The global map for clan war mode will be strongly related to the existing territories.

really tough tanks:

Our game embraces the history of tank building of the 20s-40s. This is the most interesting stage of the world's tank construction, the era of the most massive-scale tank battles. Besides the models that existed and took part in war conflicts we will introduce the experimental models of tanks and other fighting vehicles. We're planning to introduce some tanks built after WWII, but these projects had been started during the WWII or technical requirements for those projects had been described during the war.

1) I am having trouble with the camera controls. When I start off on the battlefield, the camera seems to be 'inside' a building or 'inside' a tree or something, and by moving it around I can only get glimpses of my tank. The view is obscured by wall or tree texture. What can I do about this? (If needed, I can post some screenshots).
2) I have started off with the two default tanks - the M3 on the Russian side & a German armoured tractor (I can't remember the name of it), but when I get into the lobby just before a game starts, I notice everyone has JagdTigers or KingTigers or T34s or IS-2s. When I try to upgrade, well, I don't really know what's happening. Is there an English version of the manual yet? I could get a Russian version from the Russian forum, but it would take years for me to translate it.
Cheers! I suppose that's all for now,

100% simulator - is not our goal. The level of realism and

As you guys have said in the past (iirc), they can hit anywhere on the map (range = whole map). So what counters arty? Other arty? Could be fun, but could also be insanely OP depending on how the game is balanced.

Jeremy Taylor: In real war an artillery machine may be destroyed by any kind of a
tank. Any fighting vehicle may be the counter for the artillery
machine in our game as well. The thing is that arty is more
vulnerable and depends much on other teammates (our game is
team-based). The light tank-if commanded by a skilled player- may
break through your defense line of middle tanks, destroy your arty
in seconds and then die with honor. That was just one example of
hundreds how your arty may be destroyed.

Jeremy Taylor: Great question, actually. The situation you've described ("is it
possible that u have to fight with 10 light tanks against 10 heavy
tanks, 'cause that isn't fair at all") is absolutely impossible.
Before each battle the game divides players fairly in two equal
teams The rest depends on your skills, your fighting vehicles and

Jeremy Taylor: Thnx for this message, manobal. First off, we are here not to rob
you:). So let me explain. When the game is out you can download it
for free. Moreover, there's no any kind of preliminary upgrading:
you take your 1st level light tank and join tense battles. There
are ten levels of tanks that can be upgraded: you start with a
light tank of the 1st level (usually used as scouts) and finish
with the heavy super tank of the 10th level. Then, you are able to
upgrade tanks of other countries and self-propelled artillery
vehicles at the same time. The process of upgrading doesn't take
years (and not even a year, by far less time) in our game. Taking
part in battles you're gaining experience and scores that you spend
on upgrades and other vehicles' purchasing. Premium accounts are
for those who don't have enough time for playing their favorite
game, so they are not able to upgrade their vehicles as deep as
they could. Tanks, achieved through purchasing premium accounts,
will not take out the same tanks achieved without any investments.
In the end, the result of each battle depends solely on your
skills, experience and team cooperation. I hope you will be the
first one to get the key and get the idea;)

Thats what I was assuming, as it would be rather repedative to have 'that one guy' turtle his Tiger, King Tiger, KV2, ISU152 (etc.) and just take out enemies at 2,000m all day...

Jeremy Taylor: The gameplay is based on team cooperation. Well balanced team of
lighter tanks will easily annihilate the Team of King Tigers and
the such if those "giants" have no understanding how to play in
team. Moreover, don't forget about self-propelled artillery
vehicles: their shells may reach the enemy on the other side of the
map.

-How long has the game been in development?
-How are you planning to bring the game to the public?
-When will the closed beta start and how do we get in this?
-What is the sceduled release date?

Jeremy Taylor: The project development started two years and a half ago. Very soon
the Wold of Tanks beta version will be available for the US and
European audiences. The details of registration for beta-testing
will be revealed as soon as beta is announced.
Microtransactions will be available in the game. It means that for real money you will be able to purchase attributes that will distinguish your fighting vehicles from others'. You can also buy the premium account that will help upgrade your vehicle faster. Also, you can purchase the premium tank - the middle-class tank. It means that you can skip the line of light tanks and start playing with heavier vehicles. Some top-class types of ammo will be also available for real money.

Jeremy Taylor: You were close to the truth saying that World of Tanks is a kind of
mix of fun and realism. All tanks' characteristics are very close
to the reality; however some features were simplified in order to
make the game as dynamic and fun as possible. For instance, the
speed of tanks was increased, reloading and tank turret rotation in
our game are faster than in real life as well.

Jeremy Taylor: First off, this is really nice to see the first message here. World
of Tanks is a MMO-action and combines the features of arcade,
simulator, RPG and strategy game. Your fighting vehicle is the main
character in the game: tank, tank destroyer or self-propelled
howitzer. And yes, you will be the one who pulls the trigger on
guns). Read the features for more details and
feel free to ask more questions.
