Gnomon: Hey, Tankers! As many of you are aware, today we are
launching the first Common Test of Update 1.0.1. This Common
Test builds on the recent visual improvements with a host of
new content. Here is a brief run-down: Update 1.0.1
Common Test Italian Tanks- Italy is not just another nation.
Equipped with autoreloaders, the top-tier Italian tanks add an
original twist to the traditional gameplay. The autoreloader is
hard to master, but pays off once you learn how to use it
effectively. Province Revival- Italy advances on all
fronts! This time, it’s a striking comeback of one of our most
discussed maps — Province. Everyone had a strong opinion about this
compact location that embraced highly dynamic tactical combat. Only
available for Tiers I-III, the map had been intended to become an
optimal firing ground for new players. Instead, it turned into a
magnet for highly skilled tankers looking for easy
prey. Premium Shells & Consumables Now for Credits
Only- Premium shells and consumables have been one of the
hottest topics on the agenda, and during the upcoming Common Test,
we’ll take the first step toward making a key revision to the
entire mechanic. For Update 1.0.1, we’re planning to disable
purchasing Premium shells and consumables with
Gold. Frontline Returns- Among numerous other
features, the Sandbox server hosted the 30-vs-30 Frontline mode
last year. It will soon return, this time to production servers,
inviting you to join the attack/defense fight for dominance on a
huge HD map. For more detailed information, please check out
our portal article here: Update 1.0.1 Common Test Please provide
your feedback about this CT here, as every bit
helps! See you all on the battlefield!

Subject: [ST] New Map: Berlin
Link on message: #11601626
Link on message: #11601626
Gnomon: Hello again, everyone! I have a bit more news to share
on this lovely Friday. Today, we are also releasing a
Supertest for our newest map prototype. We want to continue to
share information about the new locations in World of Tanks, and as
such, we would like to announce that this test will be for the
new map of Berlin. We intend to make this new map similar
to the real terrain of Berlin. In our previous testing, we had
to abandon complete historical accuracy in favor of more
comfortable gameplay. Berlin is planned to be a sort of
mixed location with urban areas and open spaces. There will be some
historical objects included, however (e.g. Brandenburg Gate, the
Reichstag building, and the railway station). Gameplay on the
map will be suitable for all types of vehicles: Heavy tanks
will be best suited for Zone 1. The urban area will cover these
tanks from SPG fire and the distant fire of opponent TDs. The open
areas (which include Zones 2 and 3) are suitable for Light and
Medium tanks. Zone 2 will also be preferable for mobile vehicles,
as you will need to be moving constantly in this Zone or you will
likely be hit by enemy SPG fire. Zone 3 is great for active
and passive spotting if that's more of your style. There are
also positions for TDs to flank on this map, which can prevent
quick breakthroughs of opponent vehicles and stop them in their
tracks.
This is the first closed
test of the new Berlin map, during which we will determine if this
prototype is playable. This means that, in the future, the
locations may change significantly from what is currently on the
ST. Also, check out the following videos that
show-off the new map: Feel free to
share your feedback on the new map here, as it really helps us out!

Subject: [ST] New Soviet Tier X Tanks: K-91 & Object 277
Link on message: #11601462
Link on message: #11601462
Gnomon: Hey, everyone! We know that many tankers have wanted to sneak
a peek at the two new Tier X tanks in the Soviet tree that we are
have been keeping under tarpaulin covers. Everyone was wondering
what tanks they were and when they were going to appear in-game.
There is no need to guess or data mine, as we would like to
announce that these vehicles are the K-91 and the Object 277. Both
will be entering the Supertest today and will become available to
you soon. However, they will not be in the next update as we will
need to fine-tune both tanks. The К-91
The K-91 will top the rear turret
MT branch. This tank is fast and has great targeting parameters
(including the aiming time of 1.9 seconds). This precision allows
it to snipe; the record-setting shell speed (1,700 m/sec) and armor
penetration (276mm by an APCR round) will further boost the
long-range efficiency of the K-91. Some interesting things to note
about this tank are its weak armor, limited gun depression ( –5° )
due to turret positioning, and limited turret traverse (the latter
is for balance purposes and may be dropped based on test
results). The characteristics of the K-91 are impressive, but
how does it play? Well, mainly as an ambusher who provides support
from afar, as they K-91 is no brawler. Its spotting range (410m)
lets the K-91 spot the enemy first, and it has decent camo (only
slightly lower than that of the Object 430U). Its mobility is on
par with other Soviet Tier X Mediums, but its thin armor makes
surviving under enemy fire problematic. An additional obstacle to
brawling at short range is the 180° firing arc of the gun.
Mid-range warfare on the K-91 (trying to use its mobility and gun
stabilization) is for the most skilled and adrenaline-loving
tankers. During the first stage of the Supertest, only the turret
will offer meaningful protection on the K-91. Keep in mind that
while playing the K-91, you ought to rely mainly on its camo and
snipe. We recommend going to the second-line if your Ace feelings
are tingling. Tank Images
The Object 277
This Tier X is an assault tank,
combining mobility with protection. A true successor to everyone’s
favorite (the T-10), the Object 277 builds on its strong sides,
having better aiming, DPM, and armor penetration parameters. Having
a greater alpha and larger HP pool, this tank can do everything the
T-10 can, but better (if you don’t believe, be sure to check out
the infographic at the end). The protection that this tank
offers will be decent: 140mm/112mm/50mm of hull armor, and
290mm/224mm/80mm of turret armor. Keep in mind that the glacis
plate is sloped at 60–70°, and the lower front plate (which is
138-170mm thick) at 45–55°. Much like the T-10, the Object 277
is a Heavy/Medium hybrid that is well suited for countering the
enemy team’s front line while also taking key positions.
Hard-hitting and agile, this tank allows for both an
aggressive-attack playstyle and a maneuverable-defensive playstyle,
as well as for switching flanks (if needed). Keep in mind that the
Object 277 will keep its progenitor’s weakness as well, a gun
depression of –5.5° which doesn’t allow for productive
terrain-based play. Tank Images
The OutlineThe fire support
ambusher and the assault Heavy will make great additions to the
current Soviet tree. However, their tactical roles and technical
parameters may yet change after our testing. Also, we wanted to
inform you that we are considering a rebalance of the Soviet rear
turret MT branch, in order to make other vehicles more like the
new. These actions, that we will take further down the road, will
depend on the Supertest results. We will be sure to share all
of the relevant information with you. Let us know what you
think, and best of luck in your battles!

Felipe6666Original: ¡Saludos, Comandantes!

youtube, tankers I think is only on youtube. I also have a
couple of replays I uploaded to wotreplays since I started playing
again a few months back that show matches that easily exceed
requirements for LT15.3, and some LT15.4 (the ones a lot of folks
that play LTs sparingly struggle with) one thing I will add,
is that lemming plays way more conservatively than I do - in part
out of necessity - he's very very purple reroll and if he's as far
forward as I play he gets yolo-focused hard. (he also finds
damage farming and marking tanks entertainment in and of itself and
it works for him)

Ah yes, I'm familiar with both LemmingRush and 4TankersAndDog. I'll check out some of their LT-centric videos, and check out your replays as well.
I miss the old bulldog too, I actually liked going in with my heavies on city maps where I had no viable scouting options like Stalingrad, and playing a support-harass role forcing enemy heavies to split their focus away from my heavies. The 13 57 has a playstyle that's certainly reminiscent of the old Bulldog, but it is what it is. I'm not really inclined to comment on the rebalance, it's in the past. I miss the old T18, and my Non-HD Pz. V/IV or Pz. B2, but it is what it is, I'm afraid.

aparecerão no jogo. Não há mais tempo para perguntar: esses
veículos serão o K-91 e o Objeto 277. Ambos chegam hoje no

As
posições-chave do mapa.
O Object
Novo
Mapa: Berlim

eficiencia a larga distancia.
Sin embargo, tiene un
blindaje débil y una depresión bastante limitada (-5º
debido al posicionamiento de su
torreta.
No

CabbageMechanic: Hey Tankers,
We became aware of an issue with the three emblems not crediting properly around midday, and were able to correct it. Everyone who logged in after 2pm CT or so should have received all three, and we are currently pulling data for all the accounts who logged in before the fix for a mass crediting of the missing emblems.
In regards to the differences from the EU event, we appreciate that many of you are passionate enough about World of Tanks to care so much about our 7th (wool?) anniversary. We are completely separate regions with different staff and different servers - there always have been and always will be some differences between our event plans (and plenty of occasions where NA players have had access to rewards that EU did not). That said, we appreciate your feedback and we have shared your concerns with the team.
Hope you're all gearing up for the Italian Challenge!

Hmm, I think I get what you're saying. Still, finding craters where you can do that is pretty situational, and my favorite medium playstyle tends to be ridgeline-peeking. I'm working on the Patton line right now for that reason.
Honestly, played the US LT line back when it was necessary to get to the T57, didn't touch them for a while but I actually really enjoy tier VIII LT's. The T92 is my jam. Got 7.4k Spotting in that thing last week, which is the most spotting dmg I've ever assisted with. I think I excel in the T92 and Even 90 because they have tiny hitboxes and are good at running away

Well, that wouldn't be my choice in words. We have a unique community because while it's often that emotions run high, they run high because our players truly love our game. They want to see it continue to be successful, and stick around for a long time, just like we do.
We may have differences of opinion about the best way to accomplish that but at the end of the day it's important to keep in mind that whoever you're disagreeing with, on the forums or in-game, you're both probably coming from a place of love. I respect and admire that passion, even if sometimes I wish some people would be a bit more open-minded and look at things from a community standpoint rather than an individual one. We'll get there. Baby steps <3

Specifically, GPU prices have skyrocketed. Kind of an unfortunate time for a major graphics update to release, but obviously work on 1.0 started well before the GPU price spike.
But you can bet that spike in GPU pricing is affecting the pricing of pre-built machines at least to some degree as well. PC Manufacturers still need to pay GPU Manufacturers for the products they purchase.

Probably a stretch, but maybe you
can try reaching out to Newegg's Customer Support team and see if
they will apply the code to your purchase retroactively? Their CS
team has always been excellent to me.

Oh, wow! That's odd. I'd be happy to look into this for you.
Apologies for asking, since I've never shipped anything to Canada before, assuming it's not possible for you to complete your purchase on Newegg.com then contact their CS team about having it shipped to you in Canada instead?

Personally, I've always enjoyed building my own PC. Tends to be a bit more cost-effective than pre-built machines, but of course some manufacturers have excellent warranty options, and you save several hours of labor on the assembly process.
I find it therapeutic, so I enjoy building PC's for friends. I always recommend checking out logicalincrements.com because they catalogue a bunch of different 'example builds' you can come up with in a variety of options and budgets. You might be able to go with some of their recommendations while picking and choosing some options from the Newegg promo as well.

removal of the purchase option from the portal/store, as it would

That's an interesting thought, though. Ultimately, the
package is probably going to cost in excess of $80, given all of
the additional items.

Sadly I don't have info on pricing yet, but I did get confirmation that the purchasing option will not be available once the marathon is completed. It is not possible to complete the marathon then purchase a duplicate bundle for Credit Compensation. (Also doing so would be the equivalent of just converting an equal amount of Gold to Credits, so not really necessary to buy the vehicle for Credit Compensation)
It's a quirk of how this marathon works, previous marathons functioned by allowing you to purchase individual "tokens" rather than a bundle that will complete all remaining stages.
There were some small quality-of-life issues with the tokens for the T25 Pilot Marathon, for example, wherein players received Gold compensation for the tokens they purchased, instead of the vehicle, because the tokens were credited upon login. Some players finished their session on the last day of the marathon, closed the game client, bought their tokens on the Premium shop and went to bed. Since the tokens from their purchase didn't get credited to their accounts until after they logged in, they didn't get applied to the mission which had already concluded, hence the alternate Gold compensation.
Needless to say our folks in Support (myself included, at the time) were able to sort it out and get the qualifying players their vehicle instead, but it's a frustrating thing to go through as a player in the first place. We anticipate the Italian Challenge will run more smoothly.

Pros" Missions when we ask Gold League WGLNA players to jump on
Sheriff accounts for a special event, and there are also CC's like
Trobs and Junkers who will occasionally hop on sheriff accounts, as
Mr. Seabee has mentioned.
Apparently, way, way before my time WGA Employees were also Sheriffs, but honestly we get focused enough as-is so I welcome this change.
Doesn't stop the occasional "Do I get 250 Gold if I TK you?" in chat, which always gets a chuckle out of me.
