Moguai, on Feb 25 2015 - 18:25, said: OP is any tank that allows your avg. baddie to do well in

and has a decent gun, so baddies will do well in it but it's very
slow and inflexible so great players will do poorly in it (relative
to their normal levels ofcourse). A tank is OP when both bad
and great players perform noticably above their average performance
in it.

Lert: This thread again? People who know how the game works look
at other things than just winrate. It just so happens that winrate
is the most easily visible thing there is, so that's what shallow
people hang on to, while people who know better look at WN8.
The more damage you do and the more kills you get, the easier your
team can win, thus the more often you win. Winrate tends to follow
WN8. (Keyword: tends) Ofcourse there are exceptions, but you're not
going to see a 65% player with 400 wn8 nor a 43% player with 2500
wn8.

depression that JP has, but with better camo. If you can't make

"lose x amount of tier points per missing player," unless stated.
Which means teams will bring whatever line-up brings the most
firepower. In this case, I would assume that a team missing
a player would bring all tier IX tanks.

Lert: As others have points out, buy a low tier tank and stuff crew in
there. Also, if you use the 'Return crew to vehicle' buttons
on the vehicles you want to import a crew to, you won't need
barracks slots to move them around. The only problem here is that
those crew will need to have done one battle in that vehicle
previously. This is very useful when dealing with premium vehicles
though, as with two button clicks you can move whole 6-man crews
around.

regardless. Plus, if your major concern while driving a vehicle is
how much it costs, you are both limiting yourself and not really
ready for that tier of vehicle. The ROF and lower alpha on
the 88 means that you have to expose more and stay exposed longer
to do the same amount of outgoing damage, opening yourself up to
incoming damage. As for the 105 being 'more troll' than the
BL-10? I've not noticed this. Just aim better.

low health tanks with her mobility and alpha and keep up with
pushes with her speed. Just be careful you don't make yourself the
easy target, because she has little armor and HP. Look at the
situation on the map and adjust your play accordingly, rather than
trying to force her into a playstyle niche that might be totally
wrong for the situation on the map.

carry. That is just what they do. Reds in top tier tanks derp out.
That is just what they do. So, this match there is a unicum in a

months. If you 'were just in one', then I suggest you update your
mods, because one of them has given you false information.
Even when there was still a battletier 12, there would not be tier
8's in them at all. Or tier 9's. Tier 8's saw battletiers 8, 9 and
10. Tier 9's saw battletier 9, 10 and 11. Neither of them saw
battletier 12. Battletier 11 means that the lowest tier tank
in the game (without failplatooning) is a tier 9 by MM spread (this
includes tier 8 scout tanks) Battletier 10 means that the lowest
tier tank in the game (without failplatooning) is a tier 8 by MM
spread (this includes tier 7 scout tanks)
Subject: To make life a little bit easier for the bottom tier tanks
Link on message: #8612225
Link on message: #8612225
Lert: Everyone knows that feel when you're a tier 5 in a tier 7 match, or
a tier 4 in a tier 6 match - the lowest tank in the game. Most
people also agree that the current +2/-2 spread is basically
ok. However, there is still something that could be done with
that. For example, being the only tier 5 against 4 tier 6's
and 10 tier 7's is not fun.You can't really expect the lower tier
tanks to do much in a match if they are the vast minority. We all
enjoy the 'many hunters can take down a mammoth' idea, but that
becomes very difficult when it's one hunter against 10 mammoths.
So I suggest that in any match where there is a two tier
spread between the top tank (for example tier 7) and bottom tank
(for example tier 5) the low tier tanks (the tier 5's in this
example) would never be a minority. In other words, that the bottom
tier in a match (excepting scout MM) would never be less than for
example 40% of the team. TL;DR: Make it so that instead of
there being a possibility you're the only low tier tank in a match,
there are never less than - say - 7 low tier tanks.

Lert: The game takes accidental teamdamage into account by requiring a
relatively large-ish amount of damage ticks before it starts
flagging, changing colors or kicking. Crushing and fire should,
IMO, be exceptions to the multiple-ticks-of-damage-is-flagged rule.
By far most of the time though fires and opgoing crushing
damage don't happen upon an accidental teamdamage shot, and thus I
don't really think WG is going to change this. Still, it's a
very valid point. So valid that I made

Lert: They've decided not to introduce any more pref MM premies, so the
list shouldn't grow much bigger than this.

Lert: Made this thread so that there's a MM chart readily available on
the forum. I will try to remember to keep this thread updated and
current.
How this chart works is, you look up your tank (Tanks with unique
MM spread to the right, regular tanks to the left) and then check
what battle tiers it sees. A tier 10 TD for example sees battle
tiers 10 and 11, meaning that it's always in a tier 10 match. A
tier 5 heavy for example sees battle tiers 5 to 7, meaning that the
highest tier tank it sees is tier 7 at most but it can also be top
tier. A tier 7 light tank for example sees battle tiers 8 to 10,
meaning that the highest tier tank it will see is a tier 10, and it
will never be top tier - the best it can see is a tier 8 minimum
game.

hundreds of thousands of people - millions world wide - manage to
play this game without getting banned for teamdamage. What makes
you different?

Lert: Re: Smoke: Who said anything about local performance? Smoke would
add a significant level of additional spotting checks for the
server, a task that's already taking up 60%+ of server load.
Secondly, and now we are talking about local performance, not
everyone is running a great computer. Even non-volumetric smoke
would add additional load, even if it is relatively minor compared
to volumetric. Re: Bogging down: Because getting your
ability to influence the game taken away for having the sheer
audacity to drive somewhere that isn't clearly marked by easily
recognizable features like cliffs, water etc is just terrible for a
competitive PvP game. Re: Unreliable tanks: Yeah, because
getting your tank knocked out because of RNG completely out of your
control when nobody is even shooting at you is 'fun' Re:
Scouting: Then don't play scout tanks. Most you can skip. You want
to do combat vs other tanks? Play combat tanks. Scouting is an
integral part of the game, at higher levels of play, vision control
alone is 80% of winning or losing. Re: Patronizing: Is that
why you singled out my reply and ignored everyone else's? Awwww,
you're such a speshul snowflake aren't you, that you get so worked
up about a very mildly snarky comment by a total stranger on a
public internet forum that you single him out and ignore everyone
else's reply who all just happen to agree with me. Why do they
agree with me? Because they know the game. Because they were there
when these exact same things were brought up again and again and
again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
Excuse me if I don't go like "Wow! So novel!". Look, you're
new, so I'm going easy on you. Learn the game first. Then start
making suggestions. Yeah the few starter maps are small, higher up
in tiers larger maps are opened up to you. There's a link in
my sig which leads to my guides, that I've written especially for
newer players like yourself.

Lert: A tank in which both bad players and good players can perform
noticably above their average performance level. This to
differentiate tanks in which bad players do well but good players
do worse than their average, or vice versa.
