FoggyLogic, on Feb 23 2022 - 01:34, said: Ping, or latency, and frame rate are unrelated. Your frame
rate is a function of the performance of your computer in terms of
running the client software locally on your machine. Latency is a
function of the communication between the client software and WG's
servers which, in simple terms, runs the platform and coordinates
play between all the connected clients. You can have an
amazingly fast computer and get a frame rate >100 and suffer
from latency problems, which will manifest themselves as momentary
freezing of your screen, your tank or turret not moving and then
suddenly "jumping" to a new position (as the client resynchronizes
with the server), and disconnects, which will happen if the latency
climbs over a certain threshold for a longer period. Frame rate
issues are persistant, the severity of them varying depending on
the complexity/load of what is going on on your screen.
Link on message: #13005277

1LT_Dwayne: Ok thank you for the explanation. I never experienced any lag
today so I assume that my ping was alright. That mean it could be
my computer? The reason I say this is because the 2nd shot on the
kv2 seems to hit his lower plate witch I should pen 100% of time.

game, there was a 1000 ways to add in wheeled vehicles and
Wargaming chose literally the worst and as a result additional
wheeled vehicles are unlikely to come. I play them when Im feeling
toxic and dont feel like breaking out the arty. Fast, small,
cant be tracked, Wheels which eat shots from any calibre gun and
take no damage, an autoaim which is an illegal mod for any other
tank, high pen HE, good on the move accuracy even though none of
them could actually fire on the move. I expect the French
Wheelies were a project done by the same plonker who thought crew

KRZYBooP: Howdy Boom Jockeys! Since the introduction of Wheeled Tanks,
there has been a very big divide in the community about them. I
know from my limited time on here that there are plenty of negative
things to say about them. According to WoTLabs, I
would consider them semi-popular as it appears about halfway down
the second page when you sort them by average battle count. I have
always been a person who wants to form my own opinion on things and
see for myself. I don't listen to a bunch of film critics, I go
watch that train wreck Vanguard movie starring Jackie Chan and
heckle the bejesus out of it as if my mind was being monitored by
aliens. ( MST3K).
I am curious to know how many of you ever tried the wheeled tanks, or if you just saw them in the game and said, " No Tanks!". Have they gotten better or worse since they have been added to the game?

because it is clearly not. But it is not an F grade. It passes, by
a margin. Its a B. Tanks shouldn't be a game where things are
single dimension, either Great or Trash. The thing has decent DPM
for an autoloader. The inter-shot can be frustrating, but shouldn't
be that big of a deal because of big-boy alpha. In a tier with many
meds still doing 240, 320 hits hard esp with shots soon to follow.
Though the accuracy is poor, it has strong gun handling values
which are more important. While it may not steam around at its top
speed often because of the HP/T, its however incredibly agile and
reactive, the reverse speed is funny. The camo is strong for an
American tank, and pair that with nice VR. I think the
best buffs for Rex should be minor ones, as there are plenty of
more deserving tier 8 prems needing buffs compared to Rex. All I'd
suggest for now are a loader, 4th crew member and recessed cupola
into the turret like T92 LT, so its not obnoxious and sticking
out. T95E2, Pilot, Skoda 27, CDC, M48 Ru Pz
deserve a metric ton more than Rex.
Link on message: #13004963

Jaguarz: A "B"? Maybe its the participation trophy world we live in
now but a B is really, really good in virtually any academic
standing. The AR is far from a B though is perfectly
usable. Its camo isnt that good compared to other t8 mediums
its middle of the pack, its view range is middle of the pack, its
ammo capacity is incredibly low, its DPM is middle of the pack, its
power to weight ratio is low, less than several heavies, and while
that doesnt really hamper the tank it does make flexing more
arduous than it should be. It has low ammo capacity, poor
velocity, bottom of the (normal) t8 medium pen and a tumor that
makes the 59 Patton feel better about itself Still, all that
being said it has the second highest mark requirements for a t8
tank (behind bourasque, above progetto) and is harder to mark than
the T9 Kunze Panzer which is the 4th hardest t9 medium to mark so
some freaks are doing amazing things in it out there. To each
their own

Some 5 some 3, lets average that to 4. But if you happen to
have holes in crews, and have single guys laying around, 850,000
single exp is better value than 250,000 entire crew exp. Lets say
you play alot of Lansen, and then what are you left with? A 4th guy
who maybe powerful, but nothing he can do because of Swede silly
crew setups. With two extra 850,000 books you can recruit 2 new
guys, and with the Lansen guy being the third have a complete crew
right there. 1 personal 850,000 crew book will bring any dude to
100,100,72. Thats more than three universal books, which leaves the
crew 100,100,58 - at the cost of morePerpetuated by the fact that
crew books have not fallen under discounted sale yet, unless in the

Draschel: The ideology, mechanical-physics behind spaced armor used so early
on, especially the early kind devised to defeat chemical charge
attack proliferating WW2, is an obstacle (even flimsy
ones) to predetonate the HEAT warhead of an incoming
projectile, not on the tank hull, preferably away from it to
disperse the produced narrowed HEAT jet. This could be just about
anything, such as the slat/cage armors on Striker vehicles today.
The flimsy link panel armor on PziV or jag Pz IV even helped.
Sandbags and railroad pegs even provided protection None of
these have equivalent protection as RMA

Draschel: you have the things mixed up a bit. The gun handling is on the
stronger side, esp for an autoloading tank. 2 aim-time and
.18/.13/.10 are good values for clip tanks. It on the other end, is
the accuracy that is real bad. Somewhat akin to WGs new release
policies, in making tanks inaccurate as to what they were before.
For instance, older clip tanks like T69, AMX50100, progetto
have accuracy. But newer clip tanks like Somua, Bourratt, Skoda 56,
Bisonte, Rex have poor accuracy. I am actually surprised, in that
AMBT got fair accuracy to begin with. This means that perhaps
stabilizer isn't so necessary, and aiming class a better
choice What I find very weird of Rex, is the awesome best in
class pivoting traverse, the excellent reverse speed, great
terrain resistances - but then topped off with bad HP/T. Rex has a
terrible engine, put into perspective T92 LT and M7 medium
have stronger engine than Rex, 33% stronger in fact. I
think this is definitely the limiter. Rex needs an
engine buff like how STG got one. Then it would be far more
popular. Decent DPM for a clip tank, decent camo for an american
med, nice burst fire sum, good gun handling, and good VR. But still
checked with balancing features, bad pen, bad accuracy.

Draschel: The bad thing to take away here, is the spaced armor modifiers. x3
effective armor against HE shells was uncalled for. The tracks and
gun barrel have more resilience in many areas than actual tank
hull. This change was unnecessary. I believe alot of the angst
around HE would be curbed, if WG removed this factor and returned
it to normal x1 armor values. Heck, even less, they should make it
x0.75

On open maps Panzer V IVVK3601 with HP from field mod,
boosted slot hardening, will have a gigantic 1360 HP that will

Draschel: Can I ask you something? Is this your playing account? Or an
alternate account? When you say something like this, it
is really questionable. People most usually, don't turn to their HE
stockpiles to deal with tanks like T150 or Churchill, unless you
are in spam tanks like OI or KV2, or low tier spam tanks like
Hetzer, T40, Sav43 And these things have howitzers which
tend to fire HE projectiles as their main rounds. But what I am
trying to say is, these are weird examples you are picking out. How
much experience do you have in more immersive battles. Which
leads me to believe that you don't know how problematic this has
been high tiers. We aren't talking about Churchills and T150s, what
WG concerns itself with more primarily are Maus, Type 5, E100, Jag
Panzer E100 getting shin kicked and blasted for 400 or so, by
particularly lazy people who don't want to aim with 290 pen AP, who
don't want to pay thousands for premium, yet are perfectly fine not
aiming at all just placing the cursor on the opponent and blapping
them for care free comfy damage using 1,100 base HE. More
disgusting too, is doing it with ridiculous gun barrel, track belt,
gun mantle hits which are usually the most armored parts / acutely
angled. Or 60TP and Type 5 with their own gun
depression, not particularly too concerned about Kran / Chieftain
and their gun depression, shooting the most armored part of
them in the face with HE, and taking that damage
roll. This is laziness. Its bad for the game. I am not
saying that Kran or UDES or Chieftain or Bofors tomato or
tanks are good for the game, sitting hull down with rid donk culous
turret armor values having their way with the enemy team while hull
down, but these things can be balanced by means such as, adding a
cupola like Emil 1951 onto Kran turret, so it has a turret
weakspot? Or avoiding areas occupied by hulldown chieftains and not
frontally assaulting them across stretches with tanks not made for
the duty, like Maus or 705A. Those same 705A or Maus or
VK7201, instead of assaulting them frontally in an narrow alley
while they side scrape, maybe think of something better to
do? HE is a tool, a tool to use when the tools'
demanded, or beneficial. It isn't supposed to be a crutch to lean

Draschel: You underestimate, or do not understand close distance.
Sitting on corners in Ensk, Himmelsdorf, Paris - aimtime and
accuracy don't mean a whole lot. Your dispersions are controlled by
rolling out by using 'R' technique. Since KV2 is not particularly
concerned with ROF, it can honestly run GLD, rotation mech, and
ventilation. You do not need to 'AIM' for a LFP or Cupola. Center
of mass shot and bam, randomized damage. This is not a win for
Chrysler. Its a win for KV2 This is exactly why Type 5 lost
the 1,400 damage derp shot. And this is exactly why they reduced
the chances of HE doing this to any great effect anymore. All it
promotes is not aiming, simply hoping to just 'HIT' the enemy. All
it promotes is laziness.

nature of these derp tanks, it was never possible to reliably "aim"

Chrysler and then just have KV2 or OI 2 tiers below hit the
edge of your tracks and still deal 350? HE doesn't care about weak
points. It just randomly does whatever it wants. That was
changed. Your argument is false, too. I see people like
orzanel, Skill4ltu, awesome epic guys have fun in tanks like
caliban. Iyouxin and Skill have had fun in 4005. Many
people still roam around low tiers with PZIV, Hetzer, Sherman,
Wolverine with 105 short barrel. People still enjoy playing with
T49 and Sheridan. Every single OI I see, has the 150 not the
more reliable high pen 105

the problem parts? So spamming prem ammo is better?
For WG, yes, you made my point.

Draschel: Let us try to take a look at this impartially shall we?
Analytically. Rather than baseless complaints in anger.
According to how tanks, tank classes, shoot and acquire
damage; and tanks, and tank classes block
damage. --A 76mm gun like on Jumbo or Type 64 -
pre change 1.12 could shoot at tanks like KV4 kreslavsky or VK100
01 with HE 10 times in a row and deal 0 damage every time.
How the formula functioned before, the HE burn effect and radius
and damage was just too small and ineffective to harm these tanks,
and these HE rounds are useless even for important utility like
trying to annoy heavies within entrenched position, de-cap, low HP
left. Etc. -The fix however, small bore
HE cannons received buffing, to which so long as they avoid spaced
armor or guns or track belts, the HE can even hit 305mm in the face
like Tortoise, and deal -SOME- damage. 4,5,6,4,5,6 is better than
0,0,0,0,0 and will reset cap. It will kills someone with 2HP left.
And will annoy heavy tanks hull down who think enemies have AP and
will bounce. --An 152 howitzer like on things such as
OI, Oho, SU152, KV2, Sheridan could pre change shoot at tanks like
E75 or E100, deal 350 damage one shot then the next same basic
shot, same position.....deal 75. This sort of inconsistency is
atrocious and not good for healthy gaming, at all. In addition,
these guns could shoot at side scrape tanks like 705, VK4502(P)B,
VK7201 at ridiculous over 70' ricochet angle, and in the tracks not
the tank body, and deal 300 damage? To which Jagpanzer E100 even
firing 400+ HEAT pen will bounce there. These are BROKEN qualities,
in nature, and override normal gaming mechanics and consistency,
and don't add anything at all to the game but actually
detract. -The fix, howitzers need to aim
and hit hulls. No more cheap shot gun or track hits, on side
scraping tanks for 300+. No more gun mantle hits to IS7 with 100E4,
E100, 60TP and still deal 300+. No more Fochs 155 not aiming at
all, just center of mass HE spam, and all it has to do is hit the
vehicle, 300-400 per shot and 3 shots in the magazine. This is
using a crutch. It isn't using your head. Position shouldn't
be countered by ridiculous HE mechanics. Position should be
countered by critical thinking, or avoidance. I understand, Kran
and UDES and STB1 and Chieftain are no fun on cliff or westfield
owning the map and sitting hull down - but these are problems that
the tanks themselves need fixing. Broken spamming of HE isn't
supposed to be that counter. The changes to premium
ammunition, firstly should try to involve correcting (reducing)
+2/-2 MM and +/-25% RNG randomness. With changes to these, premium
shell expenditure will be reduced. From there we can see if further
changes are needed. If so, while premium rounds are examined, front
and side armor profiles of increasingly changed/released super
heavy tanks need to fall under scrutiny as well.

Jaguarz: The rentals were literal insanity and brought nothing but ill will
from the players, its not even as if you can use the "buy" function
which is on them because they never implemented it for tanks not
currently for sale for in game currency but they will keep filling
up your garage with this unwanted trash.
