the "SEA" server?? I have the World of Tanks Asia gift shop open
right in front on me and there is nothing like that available.
If you're referring to World of Tanks China the game itself
isn't actually ran by Wargaming. It's out game but it's
hosted/managed by another company. (Same way Warcraft, and LoL
are). What they have available there is not something we have
much control over and Gaming in China is pretty complex
regarding how things are ran.

Ectar: Most popular tank doesn't equal best tank nor does it equal best
win ratio. Many people play those thanks due to to the fact
they're easy to play. The KV is popular because it's fairly
quick and easy to get to and has a high health pool so it's
forgiving. It's gun is ok but nothing special and to be honest
it doesn't really require any skill or understanding to play. You
just soak hits and hope the enemy doesn't know where you shoot
you. At tier V you'll more than likely find skilled
players in vehicles like the Stug III, T49 or the S35 CA.
The KV-1S is popular because it's directly after the KV.
People are attracted to it due to it's alpha damage. Many
skilled players prefer the Hellcat at tier VI as that required a
fair bit of skill and understanding to get the best out of it.

players, T71 players will disagree with you regarding the "best T7
tanks can only be bought with money" statement. The E25 has
a strong camo factor as it's a low tank. It's gun whilst it can
shoot fast it suffers from low penetration and struggles to pen
heavies frontally at it's own tier with standard ammo. Whilst you
can shoot premium rounds due to the rate of fire of the gun, it can
quickly end up being very expensive and isn't recommended. It
certainly can't be played exclusively with premium ammo as you'll
still make a loss every game unless you're killing about 8 tanks a
game solo.

EDIT: If you buy a bundle with a tank you already own, then you will get compensated based on the current value of the tank. If, for example, you own the Löwe and buy a bundle with the Löwe in it you would be compensated with 10625 gold. Why? Because it's on a 15% discount at the moment (12500 - 15% = 10625 gold).

on EU. In short, they were only available as a limited time
offer and players were assured those tanks would not be made
available again. In RU region there was no pre-order package
available so players were never given the opportunity to buy them.
If you want to be treated like the RU players you can always
play on the RU server where you can enjoy all the things that
brings you for that region. Within any global company that
sells good there is sometimes regional differences to appeal to
different markets.

you could get points and a temp. forum ban. These things could give
one cause for reflection, and review, reflection on what one did,
how one was treated, how much time, and often, how much money a
person may be spending on a particular game, and at the end of the
day is it all just worth it? and does it matter? It is after
all Wargaming's forum, they make the rules and to use it, one must
abide by the rules. The power dynamic is firmly with them, which is
quite correct, being their forum. The only power that you as a user
or customer has is not to use the forums, and not to support WG
financially, gold, premiums tanks etc. In that respect the power
dynamic is with the customer. You pay your money and make your
choices. So is getting a few warning points or a temp/permanent ban
really important? Not really. It may be irksome, but that is all.
Most players judging by their performance in game, don't visit the
forums, or read the wiki, or watch any videos on tips. I'm sure
there are lots of forums out there discussing armoured warfare and
various tank games as an alternative. One has choice.

there are lots of forums out there discussing armoured warfare and
various tank games as an alternative. One has choice. Ectar: The money you spend in game has no relationship to your
access on the forums. Forum access for players is a
privilege and not a right. It's not essential to your game
play and many thousands of players will never visit official forums
during their time playing a game. Any player can read the
forums without having to log on, so access to the information is
never removed from players. What is removed is their ability
to post content or access to their forum account. This happens
after multiple warnings or can be related to first time offenses
for categories such as racism, nationalism and any form of
deliberate and direct bigotry aimed at causing unrest. As has been
said before there is only so many times you can ask someone to stop
doing something before it's clear they're not listening. Removing
someone's forum access is a last resort. Sadly sometimes players
just don't care or like to think they're something special and the
rules don't apply. Top tip, no one is above the rules and
even WG staff have been sanctioned/warned regarding content of
their posts. If you don't like the rules applied on our
forums, you're correct that you have the choice not to use
them. If you disagree with the type of content you'e allowed to
post on our forums again, you have the choice to go else where. Our
stand regarding what is ok and not ok to post on our forums will
not change. Some topics will forever remain out of bound because at
the end of the day this is a forum for a computer game and not a
open area for people to spew forth their person views and agenda's
to insult and provoke people due to boredom, spite for "for the
lulz". Simply deleting a post doesn't solve the issues of an
angry player because with no repercussions or punishment for their
actions they'll just continue to post more of the same. there is
consequences for your actions. It's not different to "other
forums". The serial offenders on our forums would last just as long
on other official forums also. That's something players seems
to also forget, official forums and fansite forums cater to totally
different players and fansites will always have more relaxed rules
because their target audience isn't the entire game's playerbase.

due to the way data is pulled from our servers. It is pulled from
our database then has to go to head office to go through an anti
cheat system then comes back to us to be filtered. Due to the
timescales involved in this it's not possible to provide a real
time tracker.

the spirit of the contest and manipulating the matching making
system to give a low tier tank an advantage. This is easy to
check when reviewing results (it's a simple as seeing the battle
tier of any specific match). Whilst this is something that
is ok in normal game rules. For this contest doing troll platoons
will void your entry.

Afterall; "World of Tanks has to be the same on every continent, on
all servers and in all economic systems". So were they banned, or
did nothing nappen to them?Ectar: Yes, we do expect you to believe. How many past "Art of War"
contests in Europe have had cheating claims? 1 and after
further investigation (and with player submitted evidence)
that player was found to have not cheated. (though they did troll
platoon). It wasn't just Wargaming that was suspicious of the
result as a popular fansite also called this player a cheater and
later apologized for the wrong call. If we suspect a player
has cheated their score is not included in the announced results
and we contact the player directly to ask for further evidence.
They will still be included and added into the contest results if
their matches prove to be legit. There is multiple
checks we do on matches and we don't state what they are because we
don't want to tell players what they need to avoid... Many players
like to think they're the next Sherlock Holmes/Batman/Hercule
Poirot when it comes to investigating contest entries. Sadly most
of the time their "evidence" boils down to "Well I
couldn't get that score, therefor that person cheated" - Or
even "I didn't take part in the contest but I want to cause aggro
on the forums, so I'll say that person cheated". - Bear in mind
these keyboard investigators don't have access to any server
info and haven't seen a replay. They just see a score and "pow!"
investigation complete. I don't know why you added your last
line in a smaller font. If you want to know about stuff on
the NA server you should contact NA customer services (Who in
fairness will tell you they can't comment on another player's
account) or search the NA forums for any threads created during
that time. As I recall I'm sure the whole event was covered on a
popular fansite. If you have any concerns about how the event
was handled that's not something we can comment on here as the EU
office doesn't service NA accounts nor administer NA contests.

of our respective games, so there is an incentive for everyone
regardless of what they play. You don't care about planes, but then
other players might not care about a Type 59 (As they would prefer
a Warships beta key or the ME 209 V). If you all want is a
Type 59 and all you want to do is play World of Tanks, that's cool,
there is plenty of other contests you can take part in such as the
Art of War contest for Japanese tanks. To have the best
chance of winning the contest, players are encouraged to play both
games. It's not essential however and you could always get points
by entering one of the smaller contests which won't always be
in-game related. Cross promotion will always happen with any
games company that runs multiple games. When we have over 75
million registered accounts, it's pretty stupid not to try and get
some of those players into our other game, especially when it is
also free to play.
Mackelijk, on 02 January 2014 - 03:32 PM, said: Every one who plays World of Tank only can forget to win

free exp in World of Tanks can be used there to help you advance up
the tech tree quicker if you desire. Heck if you use free exp a lot
in World of Tanks then you can take advantage of the fact that in
World of Warplanes right now there is 5 x free exp. Warplanes
is a great game to pick up and play a few games in a short period
of time. Personally I play it most days to get my dailies done and
it provides me with extra free exp to use in World of Tanks.
If you are a really good World of Tanks player, you can win this
contest just by playing tanks alone.

planned out for the entire month. If asking players not to
expect the same stuff in January as you got in December is
being unreasonable, then nothing else I can say will change your
expectations for that. It's a 2 way process and some players
need to stop thinking their specific needs are the only thing we
should cater for. I'm advising you here and now that January
is going to be nothing like December. I'd have thought that would
be pretty obvious to most players and expectations can be managed
accordingly without further input from myself or my team members.
I'm sure later in January I'll still see requests for things like
equipment sales or tier 8/9/10 discounts regardless, or players
saying the entire event is "rubbish" because that 1 single thing
they want isn't there. It's the never ending circle of weekend
special announcements.

their expectations. December had some huge end of year bonuses
and some first time events. Players can't expect tier 8,9 or 10
discounts every month, nor things like equipment sales so quickly
again. There is still cool stuff planned, but nothing on the
level of what has came at the end of December.

Subject: WoT youtube ?
Link on message: #6844513
Link on message: #6844513
Ectar: Ok this was written for our Community Contributors and is mainly
aimed at Youtube but a lot of it still applies.. I c wat u
did thar! Spend some time on making your page/site look pretty. The
more professional your channel looks, the more people will think
they're in for a good show and think you're taking things
seriously. Get a good "offline" image and set a background. This
small bit of work can make the difference to people hanging around
to see what's up, and skipping on to the next generic and bland
channel. Plan streams, theme streams, and talk to your
audience! Watching/listening to someone sit in silence for
long period of times quickly becomes boring. Explain to your
viewers what you're doing, even if it's just 2 of your friends
watching get the practice in and be comfortable talking. Walk
through your actions, what you're planning to do and how you see
the battle going. If you have music playing (recommended) make sure
it's not too loud and for bonus awesome points, have an overlay to
show what tune/band is playing (players always ask this).
Alternatively if you're playing from a set list, have a link
somewhere on your page where players can get that list.
Think about what you want to show in your streams. Are you grinding a specific tier or nation? Are you doing platoon or solo? Do you want to do an interactive guide on a tank showing players how to use it on multiple maps? Be entertaining! I'm not saying to act like an idiot with silly sound effects but you want to give players a reason to stick around and come back each week/day. Playing with WG Occasionally we get asked to stream with people. We have no problems doing this and love playing with you guys but sometimes We're really swamped with work. Please can you let us know roughly at least a week in advance if you want any of us to join in. It then helps us plan other work we may have around it and it also helps us to then give you guys appropriate coverage and promotion. Respect other players and streamers Please please try to keep your comments respectful to other players and other streamers. I know matches can be frustrating but when you're doing a steam with hundreds of viewers and you highlight someone and say "look at this asshole" or something similar, it can prompt a viewer into sending that player a nasty message. That may seem like quite an outlandish claim but please remember people watch you because they like you, which means they'll jump to your defense and sometimes this defense is misguided. We're not going to, and don't want to censor streams and video's but if you're going to constantly insult other players all the time, it would be hard to support or promote you. Be prepared for common questions. What country are you from? When do you stream? What mods are you using? What's your favorite tank? Do you play with people in chat? Will you play xxxx tank? This list isn't comprehensive and it's not a "do this and succeed". I'm sure people who stream will have additional input to help out. Hope what I can provide is helpful. Another point i'd always recommend is greet people joining the stream and let them know you're aware of them coming to see you. It's little things like that which bring viewers back when you're growing an audience. When you start getting more people watching you, veteran viewers will offer to help moderate the chat. (I recommend disabling links in chat) Again a lot of this is more aimed at livestreamers but some of it can also apply to Youtube channels.

Ectar: It could be 8.a then 8.ab, then 8.abb (omg! why not 8.abc!
That's how the alphabet works!) It's simply a
number of an update. Our devs could call it update 8.banana
if they wanted and it wouldn't make a difference. The update
numbers relate to the content that comes with it and sometimes it
has to be spread over different patches so a new number is used.
It's not like if you add 8.9 and 8.8 you get update
17.7 You're looking at the numbers too
specifically/mathematically. They represent a patch version.
That's all.

what is changed is more obvious along with a short explanation
why if possible. When you start a sentence with "Apologies
if I sound rude" it's like starting a sentence with "No offence,
but..." - You know what you're about to say is hostile so
sometimes it's better not saying it or thinking how to work it
better. Adding it in with any kind of ending like "we pay your
wages" always comes across as you're talking down to the
person you're asking for help from and is very condescending.
Being on the receiving end of a comment like that is not
appreciated under any circumstances. There is limits to what
some of us can and can't do within out roles. We pass on
information and suggestions to the relevant departments regarding
issues that affect players. We're sorry that the information was
changed the way it was. Discussing our company's internal processes
is not something for the forums and as always if there is players
who feel they can do a better job then by all means apply for a
position in our office and show us.
