Ectar: Random battles only, premium tanks excluded. It's
basically the same rules as any "Art of War" contest.

Ectar: The intention of the contest is to have a top prize for each
of our respective games, so there is an incentive for everyone
regardless of what they play. You don't care about planes, but then
other players might not care about a Type 59 (As they would prefer
a Warships beta key or the ME 209 V). If you all want is a
Type 59 and all you want to do is play World of Tanks, that's cool,
there is plenty of other contests you can take part in such as the
Art of War contest for Japanese tanks. To have the best
chance of winning the contest, players are encouraged to play both
games. It's not essential however and you could always get points
by entering one of the smaller contests which won't always be
in-game related. Cross promotion will always happen with any
games company that runs multiple games. When we have over 75
million registered accounts, it's pretty stupid not to try and get
some of those players into our other game, especially when it is
also free to play.

Ectar: Not really, remember Warplanes is also free to play and your
free exp in World of Tanks can be used there to help you advance up
the tech tree quicker if you desire. Heck if you use free exp a lot
in World of Tanks then you can take advantage of the fact that in
World of Warplanes right now there is 5 x free exp. Warplanes
is a great game to pick up and play a few games in a short period
of time. Personally I play it most days to get my dailies done and
it provides me with extra free exp to use in World of Tanks.
If you are a really good World of Tanks player, you can win this
contest just by playing tanks alone.
