Broke_Again, on 10 July 2014 - 10:42 PM, said: is it really so 'bad' to discuss different views?Ectar: Yes, because whilst you may think you're a pillar of calm
and neutrality, there is multiple other players who cannot control
the urge to troll or flamebait people discussing a sensitive topic.
This is why certain topics are not allowed to be discussed on our
forums or in the general chat of the game. There is multiple other
places on the internet where you can talk about these subjects till
your heart is content. When you have what is effectively an
open chat room with over 100,000 participant, any sensitive topic
is going to be bad very quickly and that is why restrictions need
to be in place. Remember for something like 150,000 players
with access to that chat, we have about 10 active moderators at any
given time.

TheSanchez, on 10 July 2014 - 04:36 PM, said: x3 XP is nice but large repair kits, again?Ectar: The repair kits are there because we have certain limits on
what we can rewards players with with regards to the values.
We reward repair kits so players can either choose to use
them or sell them. If you got the straight up credit value, you
wouldn't be able to purchase 2 repair kits.

I just wanted to stop any future posts within the next few

_M3G4TR0N_, on 10 July 2014 - 12:34 PM, said: Can WG or someone explain to me why did I just played Himmelsdorf 4

4 times in a row previously? Random maps mean that sometimes
you may seem the same maps frequently or even back to back. Yes the
odds of that happening are very low, but when maps are assigned to
matches randomly, anything is possible (however very unlikely due
to the size of the map pool). The game doesn't rotate through
all the maps (Ie, you did Himmelsdorf so it won't give you
Himmelsdorf again till you've done all the other maps). I agree it
would be nice for that to happen but imagine knowing that you won't
get a favorite map again for the next 30+ matches? (Or knowing that
after XX matches you'd have a least favorite map come up).

Ectar: Ok so we've all had those games where due to whatever stupid
reason, we go full tomato. I'm talking about those matches
where you misjudge the speed of a your tank when you go off a
hill/cliff, when you load the wrong shell at a key moment, when you
miss a stupidly easy shot because you rush it, when you try to
flank someone and drive into a rock, basically all those moments
where you switch off for a few seconds and just don't think.
In honour of this I want to start a new hashtag to be used
on twitter #justtomatothings I also have redone my tumblr page to
be called justtomatothings -
I will be more than happy to upload other images to the tumbr
however there is a twist. The tomato derp, the stupid silly
thing you've witnessed... Has to come from you. It needs to be your
own mistakes, your own blunders and your own "I done goofed".
I'd like to ask that if anyone else join in, please blur out
the chat so we don't break forum rules etc. We all make mistakes
once in a while. Let these images show as a warning! (Also it's a
good excuse for a laugh and shows everyone not to take things to
seriously

in the 9.2 public test. Secondly apologies if you're experiencing
problems! To allow easier navigation and orientation of this
section, please maintain following rules: Avoid Off-Topic posts and
threads. Check if the bug is already reported. If it is, add
your report to the existing thread. For bugs regarding graphics or
game crashes, add a listing of dxdiag file in spoiler. For map bugs
such as visual issues with the environment, or a location where
your vehicle is unexpectedly stuck, add a screen shot of
the location so it's easily identifiable. Try to provide as
much information as possible about what you were doing
in-game when the bug appeared. Thank you for your time and

the weekend special considering this app was created by a
player/fan who has already created other apps - https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Fr@nkenstein
This was not something created by Wargaming staff and

Drizit, on 09 July 2014 - 04:11 PM, said: IF, as people keep on saying, there is no possible way to cheat,
how come I got killed?Ectar: without a replay its very difficult for anyone to explain
what happened. The calculations for shots and the content of the
maps is all stored server side. For a player to shoot through
the terrain as you claim, means we have a pretty major problem with
server security. Also if the player really could "hack" the
game like that, they're not going to wait till the last minutes of
a match when they're one on one. This would be abused from the
start. It's likely the player backed off and took a blind
shot in the first situation, gambling that you stayed still.
In the second scenario, again it's impossible for a player
to "hack" the armour value of a tank or the penetration
value/damage value of their shells. This would once again be
a massive problem on our servers because that information is not
held locally on your client so the data can't be edited by a player
(like say a DLC map can be manipulated to allow speed hacking or
something on a console). Sadly without a replay no one
can explain what happened and without the replay you can
effectively say anything happened in a match when there is no
evidence and no one else can observe/review what happened.

Ectar: I fully understand you may have a different opinion that other
players, however starting a discussion with: "Before the 'unica'
and their bandwagon of bootlickers, milk drinkers and apple sellers
spam this thread with 'l2p' or other garbage - hear me out."
regarding anyone who may have a different opinion, doesn't exactly
set a friendly tone, nor will it result in players coming back to
you with eloquent remarks and detailed counter points.
If you want to piss people off, you're got a great start
there. If you want to discuss with other players about the
merits and flaws of a specific tank and how it's relevant to
different playstyles, please rethink how you speak to other players
and don't start with the name calling. I don't feel the
Cromwell is OP, and wouldn't say it's overrated. It's a tank that
takes a bit of understanding and can't just be played like any
regular medium, It's almost more of a light that it is a
medium due to it's speed. It will get you into just as many
dangerous situations as it will opportunistic situations and
knowing how the get the best out of the tank when that happens, is
the difference between players who love it and players who dislike
it.

Ectar: Anyone can potentially throw a game away.
- http://www.twitch.tv/ectar_/c/4606382 I did it
myself on Sunday and nearly cost my team the match by not just
staying in the cap circle. For most people it's
overconfidence and for some it's simply not watching the minimap or
knowing what is left in your team/the enemy team.
Subject: Maybe a taboo...but the german Flag is not correct...!

Ectar: The swastika is an old symbol used by other cultures, that is true.
However when it is orientated a certain way (right facing
at 45 degrees) it's a symbol of the Nazi party. Like it or not
most people in the world will associate it with that, various
country have laws against it, and it will always bring a certain
element/groups of people looking to use that imagery to offend and
troll other players. As an example: In France, it is illegal
to display Nazi flags, uniforms and insignia in public, unless for
the purpose of a historical film, show or spectacle In Hungary
it's prohibited to use of "symbols of despotism", including
the swastika and the SS sign In Germany the Swastika is
outlawed if used in connection with the Nazi party or ideals.
The Swastika used to represent the Nazi party will never
feature in this game and it's not something that is open to change.
This is something our developers have decided since the game
was created and it will carry on being that way. I'm now
going to close this topic to prevent the inevitable trolling and
flame baiting that comes with such a sensitive topic. TL:DR
- There is no plans to ever add the Swastika as a emblem or
inscription and it will never be the standardized symbol or flag
for German tanks

confrontational/flame baiting posts whilst protecting the identity

call me a "gold noob" when I was shooting at him in my Centurion
7/1 where the default ammo is APCR. I'm not sure if that mod is
100% accurate however.

competition and due to their armour/health it was all people really
played at top tier. The "power creep" was there from the start.
This is because if you're going to put all your tanks in a
list, you're always going to have 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom.
The top tank is always going to be best and the bottom tank
is the worst. - If you bring in new tanks that aren't competitive
or can't threaten what's at top, then no one will pick up the new
tanks. Players want to be feel powerful and they want to feel
they can wreck the other tanks. Power creep doesn't
come with every tank as not every new tank is better than the
previous ones. If it replaces the top tank in the list
- It's op If it's middle of the list - it's nothing special If
it's bottom of the list - It's crap/underpowered/should have
features XXXX tank has There is never any getting away from
this. When players are looking to min/max unless a tank is top of
that list then all other tanks are "not as good as XXXX". I agree
the WT E100 has crazy damage output. but it also has ridiculously
weak armour that pretty much every tank can lob HE shells at.
It's not a "complete package" tank that excels in all areas.
There is ways to deal with them and players need to stop feeding
them and doing silly things like rushing head first into them,
especially when you know most spots on a map where they will be.
Premium ammo was always around. Now it's sadly a crutch for
people to lean on whenever things don't go their way. ("Oh he pen'd
me, must be premium ammo").. There is no "Oh hey, maybe he's been
playing for 2 years like me and his aiming is good/knows where to
aim" - Na, "It's got to be gold ammo". It's a perfect
thing to cover for any mistakes a player may have made. - I
have yet to see a replay from a player analysing a recent match
where he lost/died and straight up showing the reason was premium
ammo and not the fact they have have exposed their tank from an
angle they didn't expect/cover or simply got outplayed. "Even if it
came down to "here is were he loaded a prem shell" - you also could
have loaded a prem shell at any given time. It's not "noobish" to
have a few shells of premium ammo any more than it's not "noobish"
to have a rammer/vents etc mounted on your tank. When you
get shot and play bad it's hard to take. Trust me anyone watching
me stream last night would have been educated in how not to play.
Not once in any of those matches however did I ever blame
premium ammo or "OP tenks". I was to blame in pretty much
every situation and I could have done better with improved map
awareness, better aiming, and knowing the map/knowing when to
relocate.

Ectar: Selling the Centurion 7/1 3 times before understanding how to play
it. Selling my Pershing to fund the purchase of my Centurion.
(Centurion is a great tank, I just also miss my Pershing) Not
taking more an active interest sooner in my stats with a view
to improving them. (Damage done & accuracy mainly which
naturally lead to kills and wins)

someone is being toxic, I mute them. If I ever play with them
again they're already muted and I know that player is someone to
