Subject: Great magic trick made it disappear, can we get it back?
Link on message: #10953564
HeatSpammer, on 22 June 2015 - 08:16 AM, said: So i assume forum just got some sort of update and at least
for me two most used / needed buttons gone with it. "view

I have no clue why anyone would want these two things gone
from forums but could we please get them back? Or is forums still
going some sort of maintenance?

Subject: Public Test of Changes in the Penetration Mechanics
Link on message: #10938460
Link on message: #10938460
Ectar: Hi guys, I know that the proposed changes on the test server
are something which is a big change. I'd like to ask players to
please direct their feedback into this section - http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/forum/2538-public-test-penetration-mechanics/
Now I'd like to ask for some help from you all. Please
bookmark/link to this comment as a reference point because what I'm
going to say below is pretty important. This is a
test. It's not regular test (like update 9.1 or
something). It's something we are thinking about doing to the game,
and to help gather information/stats/points of views, we're asking
our players for feedback. We're not saying "This is the next
patch" we're saying "Hey guys, give us your feedback about this".
We're directly asking you what you think about a potential change
to the game before it happens (or doesn't happen). There is no
timeline stated as to when these changes may be added to the
game. We knew this would be something that would be a
hot topic and we did not want to make any changes at this scale
without also first getting player feedback on the topic. I can
understand that a lot of players are worried about more usage of
gold ammo and I can assure you that's already been passed up the
chain. It's a common topic raised on both the EU and the RU forums
for sure. Again, it's a test, it's not set in stone.
Please if you take anything from this, understand that the
reason for this test is specifically to gather feedback and I
greatly encourage you all to share your views in the dedicated
thread where we will make sure it's passed on to the relevant
people.
Subject: Public test - Bug report introduction

Link on message: #10935598
Ectar: Greetings players! Thank for you taking part in the public
test for the proposed penetration
changes. We apologize if you're experiencing
problems. To allow easier navigation and orientation of this
section, please be aware of the following rules: Avoid
Off-Topic posts and threads. Check if the bug is already
reported. If it is, add your report to the existing thread. For
bugs regarding graphics or game crashes, add a listing
of dxdiag file in spoiler. For map
bugs such as visual issues with the environment, or a location
where your vehicle is unexpectedly stuck, add a screen
shot of the location so it's easily identifiable. Try to provide as
much information as possible about what you were doing
in-game when the bug appeared. Regards

Ectar: Important: The penetration values on the test server are not
final. The combat performance changes will only be approved after a
detailed statistic investigation of testing results has been
conducted. Some changes in combat characteristics will also be
determined. These are aimed at improving the game qualities (aiming
speed, stabilization during vehicle movement, gun loading speed,
etc.) of tested vehicles. The results of the testing will influence
the final decisions related to the aforementioned changes.
Please leave any suggestions regarding the proposed

To help us gather feedback on specific topics related to the public
test of the penetration changes, please comment below on what you
like/dislike about these changes. Please also make sure you've read
the statement below to understand why these changes are on the
test server. Here are the basic reasons for the changes:
Excessive penetration in Tier VIII–X battles: the penetration and
non-penetration/miss ratio exceeds the ratio for medium and
starting-tier battles. The necessity to increase the role of armor
in high-tier battles: the statistic investigation shows that the
excessive penetration decreases the role of heavy-armoured and
medium-armoured vehicles in a high-tier battle.

team if you feel you've been penalised in error.
There is no point in getting angry at players on the forums
reacting to you being banned. Especially when you're basically
saying "They got the category wrong, I should be chat banned for
being an abusive player" . and showing
zero remorse. The forum is reacting to you harshly
because they have no sympathy for someone who is admitting to being
a rule breaker and being the type of player that frustrates
them. How to avoid that reaction? You raise your
issue with customer support, not the forums (especially when you're
pointing out to everyone you're a toxic player). Topic
closed as this isn't a forum issue and is quikcly going off topic
with people trading insults. - Ectar

Ectar: Hows about no. As a "neutral" you have zero source of data.
Just people saying "I got banned". It takes multiple reports
for a player to be suspended and they can add up over days,
weeks/months. You will never ever know when these reports are
made, you will never know a player's behaviour in-game or their
report history so your data is inconclusive and meaningless.
All it does is provide you with information that you can use to
make up any hypothesis you want. I'm not going to
have witch hunts on the forums or topics created just to cause
unrest and give other players ideas how to antagonise each other
and abuse our report system. As I've said in the past this
community is what you make it. Please start trying to act
responsible. There is a difference between trolling people to have
a laugh and trolling to cause offence and anger people.
Change comes within, no one can make you change, you need to
want to do that yourself. Topic closed and thread linked to
in first post removed. Players found to be abusing the report
system with false reports will find themselves taking an
in-game vacation. - Ectar

This segregation of the player base regarding how much their

Bovington Tank Museum which is based in Dorset, England. That will
never change because the event is organised annually by the Museum.
Wargaming have attended it for the past 3 years and this year
we're sponsoring it. Wargaming EU attend various
events all over Europe. In 2014 for example we were at: (Please
note this list isn't comprehensive and there is other events we
attended last year) Bracciano, Italy Warsaw, Poland
Normandy, France Wroclaw, Poland Izmir, Turkey Arsenalen, Sweden
Prague, Czech Republic Budapest, Hungary Toledo, Spain Opole,
Poland Wicksteed, UK Bovington (Tankfest) UK Saumur, France Gdansk,
Poland Cologne, (Gamescom) Germany Bobbejaanland Belgium
Zaragoza, Spain Brussels, Belgium Parola, Finland Zagreb, Croatia
Trenčín, Slovakia Switzerland Wargaming are keen to promote
Tankfest because it's one of (if not the) biggest military shows of
moving armour in Europe and we have a very good relationship with
the Museum.

You said that no developers would be there in your earlier comment,
It would be good if there was a proper suggestion process / contact
at the show as I certainly feel the Player Suggestions section of
the forum is not valued. I have never seen a reply from a developer
to a question on the Player Suggestions forum page and
basic problems raised like 'Spamming by Wotstore.com'
continue without action.

to a question on the Player Suggestions forum page and
basic problems raised like 'Spamming by Wotstore.com'

any forum, especially in suggestion sections is a double edged
sword. Many players are passionate about their suggestions and no
matter how something is explained, they won't see things any other
way than their idea being added to the game. A suggestion is
not an order, guarantee or something that has to be done. It's
something that's there to be considered. Some players don't seem to
grasp the concept of that. There is also the problem of when any
official reply is made to a suggestion, the next 3 or 4 (or
even 10, 20, 30) replies are "Why did you answer this suggestion
and not my suggestion?". - Our Developers are there to create
the game. Answering forums threads in a dedicated manner is a huge
time sink. If a Developer was doing that every day/week that's less
time doing what they're supposed to be doing. Again
it's never an easy balance and whilst other games and other forums
may do things differently, you have to please remember that all of
our developers for World of Tanks are based in Minsk,
Belarus. Our primary and our largest audience by far is
Russian speaking players where the developers have limited
interaction with. the world doesn't always revolve around
English speaking people, especially when they're in the minority.
I appreciate it's not what you're used to with other games
but then their primary audience doesn't reflect ours so it's not
really a fair comparison.

then. 2014 http://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/44/special-dday-2014/
2013 http://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/44/remember-d-day/
Looking back it's interesting to see how much the community
has changed in 2 years I guess. If we offered the 2013 one
now there would be outrage we only care about mid tiers. If
if was aimed at higher tiers the newer players wouldn't be happy.
It's almost impossible to cater to the individual, but at
least compared to previous years we're offering more vehicles on
discounts and at variety of tiers. If you don't want the
10 Automatic Fire Extinguisher's then it's a free 50,000 credits.
Personally I'll take all the Automatic Fire Extinguishers I can get
as they always earn their keep.

Give the IS-5 to the top 8-10k players by fame points
and sell 1-4k extra IS-5's to anyone. The name of the
event is "clan wars" not "wallet wars", so the people playing in
clans should earn the tanks. Maybe not even the best players but
the ones that play the most active and are dedicated to it.

that alternative as it's based on the previous MINI campaigns. Not
the full 40 day Campaigns that reward tier 10 tanks. Lets
put some things into perspective: Twilight of the
Gods: mini campaign - 10 day event. Clan Wars Stage 3:
full campaign - 40 day event. Armageddon: mini campaign - 10 day
event Twilight of the Gods rewards - 4000 tier VII tanks
with normal income modifiers Clan Wars Stage 3 reward - 11,000
Unique tier 10 with normal income modifiers Armageddon mini
campaign - 4500 tier VIII tanks with premium income modifiers
Your suggestion is that for a 10 day event, we reward
roughly the same amount of players for a 40 days event, with a
prize that is effectively better? (both tanks are unique, but the
IS-5 will generate you more credits).

Ectar: Greetings, As many clans will be taking part in this event,
I'd like to ask if any of you would be interested in running a
diary of sorts. Nothing super details, just one or 2 lines maximum
detailing you or your clan's experience. For example:
Day 1: Faced a new opponent we've never seen on the battlefields
before. KANZA taught us a thing or two and we suffered a
crushing defeat. Day 2: We bumped into our old friends TESLA today.
It was a hard fought battle but we came our victorious. Day 3: RSOP
nearly wiped us off the battlefield today. We got hit so hard our
ancestors will be feeling that one. Day 4: Everything seemed to be
going well then FAME outflanked us in AMX-40's. We don't know how
it happened, we don't want to know. We just want to forget.
If you'd like to do this, please send me a PM or reply to this
thread. It would be interesting to collect these up and we could
perhaps do a portal article from it.

of you.... Ectar: We had a few options with regards to this, each one likely
to get mixed reactions for players. First of all, this is a 10 day
event and not a full clan wars campaign which lasts about 40 days.
Full Clan Wars Campaign (40 days) = 11k tier 10 tanks.
Twilight of the Gods Clan Wars event (10 days) = 4k tier VII
tanks. Armageddon Clan Wars event (10 days) = 4500 tier 8
tanks with 6500 extra available to purchase (or you can keep your
gold). Comparing a full Clan Wars campaign to a 10 day
event is not really comparative. Compared to the last mini
event we're giving more tanks this time round and making
more available. The option to purchase the tank for 6500
players means that you can either keep the gold you gained with
your clan during the event, or use the
unique opportunity to purchase the IS-5.
Here is a image of the camo and inscription. Not the event is
planned to start on the 10th of June 2015 in EU
