GeneralDirection: There's currently no way to see the order teams signed up in the
tournament tool without digging into the database itself -- just
the date their status was last modified.

1) maybe this cannot happen, what if there are 3 draws in the 5 battle round - there is no winner?
2) do I have the rules for this contest mixed-up with another; thought there was something about not having 100% crews, not using premium shells, not having additional equipment or consumables, etc.?

GeneralDirection: 1) If the round ends with no team having 3 wins, both teams are
disqualified for passive gameplay. I thought that was in the rules,
but after looking it wasn't mentioned.
2) You have them mixed up; we're not putting any restrictions on this particular tournament, aside from the tank tiers.

Tanitha: The NA server is the location of the server, available to a wide
range of countries including those not in NA, like the countries in
Oceania for example. The NA server is not just for people in
NA.
The NA server / NA timezone, clanwars and tournaments are open for all, Not just people living in NA. People in countries in Oceania for example, are free to join the NA timezone events and NA clanwars, if they wish to play at the times of those event..
Similarly an Oceania based timezone tournament is open for all. There is no issue with people from the USA or other countries who work during the night and play during the day (for example) from entering the Oceania timezone tournament.
The issue here simply is, a 64 team tournament opened, and overfilled.
This is a monthly tournament, and we will make sure the tournament scheduled for next month is at least twice as large.
I apologize for the teams who missed out.

Tan.

Just a thought on multiple clan teams and the restriction on the amount from one clan.
In Panzac's case we had 5 teams ready to go and 2 slots were allocated, would have been nice for us as a clan to choose which 2 teams filled those slots and given enough for-warning could have staged our own mini training tourney to select our teams.

and has left me bitter. Errors I see:
1) The final teams get posted 12 hours before the tournament, Completely unacceptable. There are many teams who have been training for this and to be told your time was wasted is rediculous. There were well over 64 teams awaiting approval before the weekend and the teams should have been announced on friday, considering wargaming doesn't work weekends.
2) 64 team limit. It seems that in past events at the drop of a hat the limit gets increased to 128 yet for this one no dice. Considering there are more than 400 teams in the process of forming (the largest response i've seen for a tournament held by wg yet) and have been since last week this tournament should have been increased in size then.
3) Notifications. Aside from the original post in the news on 11-8-11 there has been no notifications since then leaving everyone in the dark. If it weren't for the sporadic posts on this thread then no-one would have any idea what was going on and it wasn't till 10:41pm 11-14-11 that information was finally forthcoming. Completely unacceptable way to run a tournament and keep people up to date.
If you guys are this incompetent and spend more time worrying about your expo in Korea (news articles for the last two days) than existing customers then I see no solution but to skip future tournaments.
p.s. And I see the latest news article on the North America Challenge posted minutes ago states a 64 team tournament unlike General Directions post above claiming it will be 128 teams. So the disinformation continues, brilliant.

GeneralDirection: Fair complaint. The office was closed on Friday aside from Support
staff though, so I suppose we could have ended registration five
days early. I'll try to find out why registration didn't close
automatically upon reaching 64 teams. To the naked eye this looks
like a bad call, but in reality there were just shy of 128 teams
that were actually eligible for the tournament. The majority of
those 400 teams were teams with 0-2 players (apparently the tool
does not delete a team if the captain leaves; bug sent on to
designers)What notifications were you looking for? Where? Please
give me an idea so I can set this up for the future. It clearly
stated in the news that registration was open from the 7th to the
14th. I'm not sure what other notifications can be provided, but if
you give examples I can certainly include them. Posting news
articles would not have been an option this past weekend because of
the amount of news posted regarding weekend events. It would have
been lost in the shuffle anyway.
Regarding the p.s. -- that's a typo I'm fixing now. I have changed it to 128 teams for NA.

No...actually, I am affronted by this. There is no mention of a battle or other event associated with this discount. Just the discount. And three days ago a portion of proceeds from select gold package purchases was donated to charity in honor of Veteran's Day.
So, why wasn't this discount started then, to encourage more purchases, and (hence) more donations? To make a discount after such a revered U.S. military holiday is a slap in the face.

GeneralDirection: Not everything will be designed with a battle or event association
in mind. That said, we're working hard to improve communication
about things like this (and others), so that players are aware in
advance of something happening.
For events like this, it also takes planning with our payment providers, since it will in a lot of cases involve their support of the promotion.

the whole idea is to get players in the habit of purchasing gold.
WG can take the slight loss of selling a small ($15) package or the not-quite-as-large profit for selling a large ($50) package.
then there are those (like you) for whom the $15 does not fulfill their desires and won't purchase the $50 package. They are more likely to just purchase the $30 package for a complete profit to WG.
after any purchase, they are more likely the faults the devs refuse to acknowledge (much less fix) and purchase gold again.
this 'special' is just a trick to get you in the habit.
If they truly were supporting the charity; they'd be giving THE ENTIRE PURCHASE PRICE to the charity.

Vallter: The whole idea is to give people, who normally purchase gold on
Fridays, freedom to choose whether they want participate in the
event or not. Because though charity is honourable and worthy act,
probably not all of people, who play on American server, would like
to donate PVA due to their personal reasons.

Hypnotik: Yes, 5 chips means you can only use 5 tanks to defend that
province. The reason you see some clans with so many chips is
because some of them enter into agreements with their neighbors not
to attack each other, so they don't need any chips on some of their
territories to defend them, and they can be put to use elsewhere.

Tanitha: Just a little tip for the current reply times.
Whats happening with the process at the moment, is due to the high number of applicants, I'm processing 1/3 of them, 1/3 are getting X32wright added to the conversation for him to process and reply, 1/3 are getting rayjones added to the conversation for him to reply.
So, if there is only me in the conversation, and Ive not read it, then its sitting in my in basket.
If there is rayjones, or X32write added to the conversation and they haven't read the conversation yet, then its sitting in there in basket.
For the above, please be patient and it will be gotten too soon. We do a lot of research on every application so its not exactly a quick process for us.
If there is only me listed as being in the conversation, and Ive read it but not replied.
Or, there is x32wright or rayjones added to the conversation and they have read it and not replied..
Then this is a error, as it will no longer be in their in baskets.
In which case, please make another reply to the post, which will refresh it and put it back into their inbox's.
The above is a bit pointless, but for those that are really keen and wondering where their application is in the queue, the above will give you a bit of a better idea of the process.
Reply time, varies a lot, some are hours, and I've got some that are still unanswered after 48 hours.

continue to dispute this within the public forums, its against the

Just a future heads up about offers like this you tend to need to sweeten the pot a bit to get people to give to charities.
Like an additional bonus amount of gold along with the donation.
This costs wargaming nothing as there isn't any production cost for gold as its a virtual currency and actually increases profits as more people would be enticed to buy it.

Vallter: 1)Yes, it means that you will have 26 skills to choose from.
2)You can learn more than 3 skills, but 1% of the 4th skill will cost twice more in XP than 1% of 3rd skill. This means that you will hardly be able to learn more than 3-4 skills per crew member.
3)No, you won't be able to spread the percentage between skills in the way you like. The difference in XP cost of each next skin comparing to previous one is x2. So 20% of 1st skill in XP amount are 10% of 2nd one and 5% of a third one. Also there will be skills unique to crew member specialization. For example, gunners will be able to learn skills available only for gunners etc.
4)No, it won't create any unfair situations. Do not worry, we thought about that-)

play on the T59 and Pershing. And I consider Panther II the most

Like me, many others do the very same thing. As such, the tier 5-6
population is very low.
ionviol2, on Nov 10 2011 - 22:08, said: Consequently, those who do still play low tiers usually end up with
us, high tiers. In 50 games with a tier 5-6 tanks, 46 (I counted)
had consistently tier 8-9 tanks, with a few 5-6-7 to boot
(typically one each). It is not about winning or losing, it is
about having a fair chance. Because fairness is directly
proportional with how much one enjoys a game. Most people are put
off by games which prove extremely competitive and tough.
I believe this is something worth to look into. I do not mind playing with or against high tiers once in two games, but when it happens every single game (especially with a stock tank - after your 10 games safety net is up) it can become really frustrating not just for the newcommer, but also for the veteran.
And while the free player has to keep grinding whether he enjoys it or not, the one who affords it won't think twice about converting free XP accumulated on the premium tier 8 to jump tiers up to 7, 8 or sometimes directly to 9.

not enjoy the game, I play for free and like the game, I play for
free and don't enjoy the game, etc), lobby your future projects
better, explain why you chose to do X, or why Y instead of Z, win
the community so to say. Otherwise, despite being driven
exclusively by good intentions, since they are not mind readers,
people tend to interpret you the way they see it fit. That's how

requires 15v15, so 30 player tests on a regular basis. The issue of
all other super tests was the inability to perform such tests due
to everyone being on at different timezones, and never getting 30
people online at once.
I understand it would be nice to be able to invite every timezone, however, there wouldn't be any testing, if things were not setup in a way that it will work.
Other options might open up later, when things are up and running smoothly.
Regards
Tan.

working hard on getting the T34 before it changes to premium, so
I'm sort of tied up at the moment. But I do enjoy playing this game
and play it every day. Is my forum posts high enough?

Tanitha: Planning too far ahead is difficult, The current plans would be to
leave the ST server and recruiting open semi permanently, however
things change..
If too many applications continue to come in, It would obviously have to close / open at regular intervals.
