referred to tournaments, at least in WG-speak. With the
upcoming Summer Play tokens, I've toyed with the idea of adding
"tokens" (or something, even if it's just manually tracking
players) to the tournaments. No, this wouldn't be to replace the
normal prizes. The idea would be if a player earned enough "tokens"
at the end of X time (week, month, season, year, whatever) he could
turn it in to a special prize - equipment or consumables if you
only have a few "tokens" or rare tanks, gold, Premium time etc. if
you have earned many "tokens." Think Dave and Busters, but for
tanks
I think it's a cool idea to
reward players for being active or doing well in tournaments; what
do y'all think?

playoffs. I should hopefully be doing group stage on Thursday and

The_Chieftain: S-Tank was a tank, not a TD. There are plenty of tank
destroyers still in service, though certainly they prefer to use
ATGMs these days as opposed to direct fire cannon. Still, such
cannon-armed TDs do still exist. 2S25 is a Russian one.
B1 Centauro from Italy would be another. China has the PTL-02,
having only just retired the Type 89 (which wasn't bad, but used
NATO ammunion, so was a bit out of place). Looks like PTL-02 is
being replaced by ST-1. I'm sure there are plenty more, but
I don't have my books handy.

to have August locked down by mid-July. We'll start planning it
this week, but we still want to see how the beginning of July pans

Especially compared to the normal names: Call to Arms, Skirmish,
Stand-To. For July, the names reflect the theme of the month
(platournament = platoon tournament). Of course, the Summer Play

is announced in a few days

originalmente estaba todo destruido. Va foto de paisaje:

Actualmente:
Y por ultimo, como el mapa completo tiene una
curvatura propia de la montaña, pensé en marcar esta curva en
la mitad del mapa. Ahí va dibujo

La idea de marcar la mitad del mapa con una loma
seria tener cobertura y moverse bastante seguro dentro de la mitad
del mapa que te toco. Las artys no te tendrían a tiro si están en

The_Chieftain: It's nowhere near as easy as it used to be. But the
general gist of it is that if you happen to be in artillery view
looking down over the area that the enemy artillery is in, and he
fires, you'll see the 'tracer' originate and fly off. Fire a round
back just beyond where that tracer originated from, and you ought
to secure a hit, if the guy didn't move. However, at higher
tiers especially, the rate of fire is so low that you're spending
far too much time scanning for targets in the hope that you'll get
lucky, be in the right place, and notice the round. It may be
more viable at lower tiers with faster loading. However, generally
speaking, I don't think it's worth it any more, unless you get cued
on by a recent spot.

The_Chieftain: I have to say, I am rather disappointed at the level of maturity
shown by many on this thread thus far. For a more useful
response, I make the following suggestions. Firstly, and
most importantly, the words "Self propelled" in "self propelled
gun" are far too frequently forgotten. For some reason, an unGodly
amount of arty drivers find some place near spawn, and sit there
for most of the game. This is entirely the wrong thing to do. You
have tracks, use them. Stay as close to the front lines as you
think safe. This will give you a number of advantages.
Firstly, you have a much shorter time of flight. Between when you
fire and when the round lands, an enemy tank can change course or
speed. Having a shorter time of flight reduces the effect of this
problem. Secondly, you will likely have a smaller aiming circle.
You're usually waiting long enough to get your shot off, may as
well do what you can to make it more likely to count. Thirdly, you
won't be where the enemy mediums and lights will come looking for
you. You'll be amazed how often I've seen tanks which could
otherwise be doing significant damage to my team roaming around the
spawn zone trying to get that easy artillery kill. If you aren't
where they expect, you will survive longer, and they'll be useless
longer. Fourthly, when you do find yourself under attack, you can
realistically expect help. Nobody will come back to help you if
you're in the spawn zone, but if you're near your friends, then
when the enemy chases after you, your friends will be happy enough
to have the target brought to them. Fifthly, by moving forward, you
open up a lot of new angles, especially across the map. You will
have likely noticed the tendency for enemy tanks to hug pieces of
cover in the expectation that it will provide protection against
artillery fire. By moving forward, they no longer obtain the
benefits of cover, and you can then engage what are likely to be
easy, stationary targets. That done, your next question is
of where to engage: Do you support the push, or bolster the
defense? It is my opinion that supporting the push is far more
advantageous. As mentioned, keep a very good eye on the minimap.
You will have to try to anticipate up to a full minute ahead as to
what is likely to happen. Will that tank you are hoping to support
when you're loaded and aimed in still be alive in 40 second to
support? Is a breach likely to happen? Where is that tank you want
to hit likely to be heading for? You get the idea.

GhostPrime: The Automated TK system is based off how many times you have
received sanctions. You won't get a sanction for a week for TKing
once. I do understand flipping a teammate back over is not a TK,
and the system doesn't take that into account. Did you send in the

Gearing, that I would take the speed boost off, and go with the
defensive AA. I just wasn't using the speed boost enough, and I
fear aircraft more than ships given that my Gearing is running
stealth mode. I can't speed-boost away from a dive bomber which has
its eye on me, or even just a fighter which is keeping me lit, but
there are very, very few ships which will detect me before I detect
them so I can avoid them. Plus there are times when I can whittle
down strikes which are going for my bigger colleagues. I've shot
down multiple Tier X aircraft in one game in the past.
