Overlord: Actually we have discussed the idea of having like 3 different balancing systems for 3 main server clusters: US, EU, Russia. Would be difficult to overcome the difficulties in order to unite them into uniform clan wars mode.
That's why we gave it up. Moreover this system sounded a bit unethical towards players and if implemented, would definitely hinder further work on achieving better balance.

Looking at the other person's point of view.
Why does the IS tanks, especially at T7 and T8, the same tiers as the Tigers, not have a compromise in the stats like the Tigers do? Why are they able to keep their armour and in turn the ability to bounced shots, keep their real life speed, and can shoot from afar as well as German tanks but the Tigers need to have their speeds reduced? Why must their hull traverse speeds be reduced over the ability to turn insitu? Why take away something when you give it something it was supposed to have from the beginning? I can see that it is too not make the turret traverse turn to fast while turning the hull as well, it still lost something when it was given something. What do the IS, IS3 and IS4 lose?
When people see such preferential treatment for Russian tanks while the Tigers get the shaft, is it not surprising that people will complain? And when they get responses from mods like "Oh, but in the Russian client, they say German tanks are overpowered" and you have the recent poll where over 65% of them say they like their Russian tanks and the devs choose to listen to them. So is it so surprising when players from the rest of the world say there is some sort of bias going on?
As for trolling, people here seem to throw that word around not knowing what it really means. When people argue that German tanks should have historical stats (which most Russian tanks have the privilege to enjoy), in this case, the speed of Tigers, then you get one particular player that goes "Lets put in their mechanical breakdowns and maintenance cost as well". That there, is a troll statement. Why make such a statement, when Russian tanks can have their max stats without the drawbacks like lack of radio and poor crew training?
But I have gone off track with this and will leave it at that. But we are seeing almost the same thing with US tanks now and people are unhappy.

Overlord: Vehicles are not being nerfed/buffed on demand of Russian players (stats and figures  :) ). They don't enjoy that privilege. The poll shows their likings, nothing more. Moreover, vehicle ratio in Russian version is 62 (Soviet)/ 35 (German)/ 3 (US) at the moment. Russian players do complain about the inferiority of German tanks as well, obviously they complain less since the overall vehicle split is different here and in RU.
It's natural that players in international beta have more sympathy towards German and US tanks rather than Soviet ones. In general we find the balance between factions is quite ok currently, but there will be some tweaks.

Ok. Got my login going yesterday afternoon, and pretty much played until 4am. So here's my first impressions, in rough chronological order:
1.) Hey, you start out with some beater from 1912! The tank's so archaic it might as well be steampunk. I like that, start with the scrap heap and work your way up.
2.) What is this, I don't even... a bush shoots and kills me. Can people shoot through walls or something?! This is [expletive preemptively redacted]!
3.) Oh, it's not that. If you stand still in some bushes and don't move, not even your turret, you go into a kind of "hide" mode. Niiiiice!
4.) Hide mode doesn't work at close range.
5.) Enemy arty loves it when you fire from hide mode and then don't move.
6.) When you buy a new gun for your tank, and you join a match without buying ammo, you will has a sad.
7.) [expletive preemptively redacted] artillery! Why don't those things have a beaten zone?
8.) Hey, tank killers can shoot pretty darned far!
9.) Huh. If you right click on an enemy tank, you'll lock in and automatically track them. Bah, it makes the game too easy!
10.) Oh. That lock in only really works if both you and the target are standing still. Well, okay then.
11.) *the round bounced off!* So I shoot a heavy tank in the face with a light tank killer and the round bounces. Good! I bet I can mess up his tank treads, though!
12.) Hee! I can! This is like legging in Mechwarrior! Enjoy your goliath war machine that suddenly no longer moves! I'll be in my civil war era beater, behind your lines, harassing your artillery! *parting shot, zips away through the brush, persued by angry immobilized big tank fire*
13.) Oh. Mobile artillery can use their guns as direct fire weapons, too. [expletive preemptively redacted]
14.) But they have next to no lateral travel of the gun! Like a tank killer! Circle of death! *does a doughnut with the civil war beater*
15.) Wow, you can pretty much snipe with a tank killer if you lead the target. And if the gunner hasn't been drinking. And he always drinks.
16.) *looking through research window again* The Maus? I remember reading about that thing. German experimental tank. We didn't know about it until 1990 or something. After it showed up in a Russian museum.
17.) When the last tank on each side is artillery, you might as well do the dishes or something.
18.) Light tanks = FUN! There's been so many times I've gone right through enemy lines at high speed and lived, only to have five enjoyable minutes scattering their artillery and freaking out their tank killers that were facing the wrong way! I need a comical sounding car horn, just so I can mock them better as I'm crushing their picnic basket with my tank.
19.) Oooh, you know what would be so much better for enemy team mockery and high speed hijinx? Give me a jeep and some dude riding shotgun with a bazooka and a few cans of silly string.
20.) It would be pretty cool if your crew would actually bail out after the tank is disabled / destroyed / burnt to a crisp. Then you'd have two options: Get back to your base without being shot down / crushed / ect, and get a replacement tank, or crawl through the bushes, scouting for enemy vehicle movement. Or maybe your driver took shrapnel to the head and you and the loader have to fireman carry him back to the battalion aid station. Of course, then you'd have to code in all the tanks' coaxial weaponry as a counter. But it'd give things a different flavor.

MrVic: 10) Soft Wipe, We should see a soft wipe with the EU server coming online.

A Look to the Future said: Some of the frequent questions and things to come.
1) US Heavy Tier 7-10 Adjustments. Weapon Changes (120mm_Gun_T53: aiming time 3.0->2.4, increased accuracy during movement and turret traverse.
155mm_Gun_T7: aiming time 3.0->2.7, increased accuracy during movement and turret traverse.) Armor Adjustments (T29, Т30, Т32, Т34: fixed error with discrepancy between displayed and actual armor of the hull. Actual armor decreased by 20%) Other Adjustments in testing.
2) Light Tanks, There are improvements coming for Scouts. A few examples full list to come. (BT-2: decreased visibility in movement, by 6% reduced influence of movement and turning on dispersion.
BT-7: decreased visibility during movement and rest, improved passability on medium grounds, by 4% reduced influence of movement and turning on dispersion, view range of the top turret increased by 15 meters.)
3) Medium Tanks, There are improvements coming for Medium Tanks. A few examples full list to come. (PzIII: reduced visibility during movement, by 5% reduced influence of movement and turns on dispersion. Pz III/IV: 5% improvement pass-ability on medium grounds, 8% decreased reduced influence of movement and turns on dispersion. Т-43: by 9% reduced influence of movement and turning on dispersion. Т-44: by 5% reduced influence of movement and turning on dispersion.)
4) New Maps, We should see 2 new maps Early/Mid December, One Desert Map, One City Map.
5) Tier 9 Medium Tanks, US, German, and Russian Tier 9 Mediums. Current time frame end of December/Early January. See "Pictures of the Week" for a sneak peak.
6) Coming Patch Times, Patch 0.6.2 (2 new Maps, Team Mode "15vs15" and Match Making Re-balancing) Early/Mid December, Patch 0.6.3 (New Vehicles Tier 9 Mediums possibly more tanks)
7) US Tech Tree, Adjustments to US Tech Tree. 105mm Howitzers will be available for M6, T1 Heavy, M4A3E8 (Easy 8).
8) Clans, In game Clan formation, 100 members, Clan creation will have a small one time gold cost. Subject to change Date coming soon.
9) EU Server Cluster, Server up Early/Mid December. Posted Image

Ok. Got my login going yesterday afternoon, and pretty much played until 4am. So here's my first impressions, in rough chronological order:

1.) Hey, you start out with some beater from 1912! The tank's so archaic it might as well be steampunk. I like that, start with the scrap heap and work your way up.
2.) What is this, I don't even... a bush shoots and kills me. Can people shoot through walls or something?! This is [expletive preemptively redacted]!
3.) Oh, it's not that. If you stand still in some bushes and don't move, not even your turret, you go into a kind of "hide" mode. Niiiiice!
4.) Hide mode doesn't work at close range.
5.) Enemy arty loves it when you fire from hide mode and then don't move.
6.) When you buy a new gun for your tank, and you join a match without buying ammo, you will has a sad.
7.) [expletive preemptively redacted] artillery! Why don't those things have a beaten zone?
8.) Hey, tank killers can shoot pretty darned far!
9.) Huh. If you right click on an enemy tank, you'll lock in and automatically track them. Bah, it makes the game too easy!
10.) Oh. That lock in only really works if both you and the target are standing still. Well, okay then.
11.) *the round bounced off!* So I shoot a heavy tank in the face with a light tank killer and the round bounces. Good! I bet I can mess up his tank treads, though!
12.) Hee! I can! This is like legging in Mechwarrior! Enjoy your goliath war machine that suddenly no longer moves! I'll be in my civil war era beater, behind your lines, harassing your artillery! *parting shot, zips away through the brush, persued by angry immobilized big tank fire*
13.) Oh. Mobile artillery can use their guns as direct fire weapons, too. [expletive preemptively redacted]
14.) But they have next to no lateral travel of the gun! Like a tank killer! Circle of death! *does a doughnut with the civil war beater*
15.) Wow, you can pretty much snipe with a tank killer if you lead the target. And if the gunner hasn't been drinking. And he always drinks.
16.) *looking through research window again* The Maus? I remember reading about that thing. German experimental tank. We didn't know about it until 1990 or something. After it showed up in a Russian museum.
17.) When the last tank on each side is artillery, you might as well do the dishes or something.
18.) Light tanks = FUN! There's been so many times I've gone right through enemy lines at high speed and lived, only to have five enjoyable minutes scattering their artillery and freaking out their tank killers that were facing the wrong way! I need a comical sounding car horn, just so I can mock them better as I'm crushing their picnic basket with my tank.
19.) Oooh, you know what would be so much better for enemy team mockery and high speed hijinx? Give me a jeep and some dude riding shotgun with a bazooka and a few cans of silly string.
20.) It would be pretty cool if your crew would actually bail out after the tank is disabled / destroyed / burnt to a crisp. Then you'd have two options: Get back to your base without being shot down / crushed / ect, and get a replacement tank, or crawl through the bushes, scouting for enemy vehicle movement. Or maybe your driver took shrapnel to the head and you and the loader have to fireman carry him back to the battalion aid station. Of course, then you'd have to code in all the tanks' coaxial weaponry as a counter. But it'd give things a different flavor.

A Look to the Future said:   
Some of the frequent questions and things to come.

1) US Heavy Tier 7-10 Adjustments. Weapon Changes (120mm_Gun_T53: aiming time 3.0->2.4, increased accuracy during movement and turret traverse.
155mm_Gun_T7: aiming time 3.0->2.7, increased accuracy during movement and turret traverse.)  Armor Adjustments (T29, Т30, Т32, Т34: fixed error with discrepancy between displayed and actual armor of the hull. Actual armor decreased by 20%)  Other Adjustments in testing.

2) Light Tanks, There are improvements coming for Scouts. A few examples full list to come. (BT-2: decreased visibility in movement, by 6% reduced influence of movement and turning on dispersion.
BT-7: decreased visibility during movement and rest, improved passability on medium grounds, by 4% reduced influence of movement and turning on dispersion, view range of the top turret increased by 15 meters.)

3) Medium Tanks, There are improvements coming for Medium Tanks. A few examples full list to come.  (PzIII: reduced visibility during movement, by 5% reduced influence of movement and turns on dispersion. Pz III/IV: 5% improvement pass-ability on medium grounds, 8% decreased reduced influence of movement and turns on dispersion.  Т-43: by 9% reduced influence of movement and turning on dispersion. 4) New Maps, We should see 2 new maps Early/Mid December, One Desert Map, One City Map.

6) Coming Patch Times, Patch 0.6.2 (2 new Maps, Team Mode "15vs15" and Match Making Re-balancing) Early/Mid December,  Patch 0.6.3 (New Vehicles Tier 9 Mediums possibly more tanks)

7) US Tech Tree, Adjustments to US Tech Tree. 105mm Howitzers will be available for M6, T1 Heavy, M4A3E8 (Easy 8).

Hot Topic of the Week said: With the latest patch 0.6.1.5 The improved game engine came online. This improvement once and for all killed the "Warping Issue" Currently the Detection and Hiding system is not performing as intended.  Correcting the issues with the Detection and Spotting system is the biggest issue the Devs are fighting right now.  Testing of some solutions for this problem are in internal testing and hopefully if it goes well we will see them soon!

ARGO: It wasn't Arty that changed, It's the absence of auto target lead in the tanks thats effecting arty. How you may ask? simple, with out the ability to sit and snipe, tanks are now constantly moving closer and closer to their enemy "you" and because they cannot hit very well from long distance because they cannot lead without the auto. they are now moving a whole lot more add the absence of the squatters that arty preyed upon arty is now forced to adapt to consistant re-adjusting which intern gives arty positions away. Now you may think that's bull but ask yourself this: Haven't you also noticed a lot more accidental TKs from friendly arty? Again thats because tanks are dog fighting a heck of a lot more to get their kills now so it's gonna happen.

ARGO: Ok, I love my IS4 but I would love to see it with an American Paint job as well as my VK3601. I am sure others may want their German tanks to have the Soviet or American colors and logos and vice versa.
So, heres the challenge. Can changing paint jobs/insignias be done? I suppose you could for instance name it "American Captured IS4" or German Captured IS4 ect.
I am hoping someone of more skill than myself can hook me up...Please PM me if your up to it.

1. Nah not at all, a lot of people are just naturally greedy and lazy. Even if a IS7 could be ground out in 3 days casual play. Then someone (aka a lot of people) would macro while they slept, to get it in a day instead of 3 days. Regardless of how much of a grind things are. A lot of people will take shortcuts if they are easy and they can..
And as i said, even though there is systems in place to scan and detect afk/macro players, it takes a while for the pattern to be detected and proved, then be manually checked by a staff member etc, So a couple/few days later they end up banned anyway. But still that could be 100-400 games that they have thrown off balance before they get caught and banned. So on top of the auto banner system, I also like the do nothing, get paid nothing system that's in place. This is a different topic to low exp when you do, do damage, and replying to someone else's post..
2. No I didn't say TD's shouldnt camp and snipe, (or any tank for that matter).. If any tank gets killed before they get to do any damage to the enemy, then whether they die after 30 seconds or 15 mins, they still have accomplished nothing, and should earn almost nothing. Paying people just to play leads to macroing (as above). It needs to be a pay per accomplishment system to work properly.
The pay per accomplishment system could do with some tweaks. So players are paid sufficiently for what they do accomplish. And I'm sure it will be tweaked often between now and release while the game is finished.
Some people just get annoyed that things aren't perfect yet. Obviously they aren't. But there's 150? developers working on it often 12+ hours a day for the next 3? months aiming to make it perfect before release. Until then its free for you to test and look at what they have done so far...

MrVic: First off some love for scouts is in the works. As for details none definitive enough yet to spell out. But help is on the way.
Secondly warping and shell speed were a mess basically auto was registering the position and travel route speed ect. The speed of the round mattered little due to the game compensating for a ballistic computer. As long as the target did not change to many variables aka speed or direction ( tho sometimes minor direction changes could help it). In the end the server was sorting it out on it's end since it was unable to show us 100% accuracy of what truly was happening at that range.
Shells were slowed to remove the ease of hitting targets but not so slow long range shots on slow targets would be mostly luck.
Speeding up rounds while at core may seem to correct the problem due to a 3 demensionsl depth and a enemy essentially driving into a round crossing it's path ( the odds of that are rather small with even insanely slow projectiles. Compounded with longer distances creating a much larger variable range and the chance for a numerous variables to change in that period of time resulting in less of a chance to hit (like a speed change turning ect). A faster round round gives the target less time to react or chsnge a variable of a shot incoming. Also the greatest variable is human and by reducing the distance required to lead a target combined with the above variable changes. You end up making it far easier based on calculus and statistical human input error ratios. Pure exact aim (computer precision) combined with a unchanging constant velocity target higher speed is less accurate. But we have more then a sterile math enviroment sadly
But help is in the works for lights none the less :)

My favorite are the ones that miss so badly they do 0 health of damage....but destroy your gun and a tread completely.

If I remember correctly that's due to the modules taking all the damage. Forget exact details.
But say a round does 200 damage on a hit or ae hit. The tracks let's say take 125 damage to be destroyed. The gun takes 150 damage to be destroyed but only 65 to be damaged. The remaining damage damages the gun. And since there is no remaining damage to carry over to your hit point pool there is no normal hit points lost. So if the splash damage ends up hitting modules and not base armor locations it can be negated on actual hitpoints
Think it works that way will have to check in on it.

MrVic: Wet ammo rack upgrades massively help.
Overall I get a good good number of ammo rack hits but usually only after lots of hit or that unlucky first hit
I save repair kits for gun and ammo damage if I lack a wet ammo rack.
2 mins of repair either means I am dead or I fought my way out of it. Either way it works out most games.
Recently I have been firing tons of HE mostly at friends /evilngrin and asking what modules I damaged. So far I take out far less modules with HE then AP. With the exception of really large HE weapons or SPG rounds. Isu152 rounds 128mmHE rounds I expect to get some but most of the small rounds just do med to light hitpoint damage. I wonder sometimes why HE still gets a bad wrap due to long long ago how it performed maybe?
As for ammo rack damage for werid hull hits ect. Well sadly most tanks had ammo in the turret but the massive ammo storage was in the hull. Now when I say in the hull I mean any empty space they could cram ammo for storage. Example is the t44 has a literal stack of ammo 45 plus shells in one corner of the hull. Also has shells along the sides of the hull, a few on the floor of the hull and finally some in the turret. Most tanks were knocked out completely were from hits detonating ammo or hitting ammo stores and starting a fire. Basically older tanks were rolling boxes of ammo with a engine. And the crew and equipment crammed in between :)
It's a hard thing to judge. Frequency seems right you might consider less of an effect :)
Just how it feels for me most of the time. There are always those fights were it gets hit right off the bat or right at a critical moment it sucks but the alternative is no depth or crazy problems to make fight some times harder or give you sn advantage when the enemy takes a ammo rack hit

Under your vehicle you see open boxes for Shells (1-2-3), then three boxes to the right for expensive modules, then three more boxes to the right for consumables like repair kit (4-5-6) etc. Click on an empty box to see what you can place there.

Yeah buy them this way and not through the store, its a lot easier.

Tanitha: I appreciate that 60 exp is ridiculously low. However remember "IMO" the game needs to have anti macro systems in place.
So if you play a TD for example. Game starts, You go camp near the base. You are spoted, You fire a couple of times and miss, then you get one shotted by a snipe or a arty. Then effectively that game you accomplished no more than a afk player, or macro player would have accomplished. IE login and then eventually die.
Weather the team wins or loses, you survive or die, The exp for doing very little, needs to be almost none, otherwise we would get a influx of afk players and macroers.
There is a nice auto bot detecting system in place, but it takes a while for it to study a lot of games played to detect and then report them.
Paid for accomplishing, instead of being paid to play is a great system IMO.
Its just probably needs a bit of tweaking so that each tank and play-style is covered fairly, and the exp is at a right level so its not too quick and not to much of a grind.
A bit of tweaking over time to get that a fair Goldilocks level, shouldn't be too hard.

I build Dells, easy to fix, Good warrenty and service. Make sure you max out it's memory and no matter what they give you for a graphics card you may want to trash it for a better one Nvidia or ATI but make sure the vid card has no less than a gig of it's own memory onboards because this will great improve your gaming. A lot of serious gamers get a PC capible of handeling a cross fire set up "2 video cards" which will vastly improve your rigs power ingame.

Overlord: Bulit-in voice chat will be available for platoons (one channel per platoon) in standard battles and in team mode as well (one channel per team). No premium account required of course to use it, apart from tha fact that premium is required to create a platoon/team, ie at least one person should have it.
It will be push-to-talk system, that can be disabled completely from game menu.

One thing a lot of people fail to realize in the whole real world scenario of the Nazis is that German people and military men were NOT I repeat NOT Nazis. Most of Germany itself had little idea if any what was truly going on behind closed doors and did not dare ask. Germans themselves even in a victory upon discovering the truth about what happend may have surprised the world and turned on Hitler and don't think they weren't planning it. In short I believe even with a Nazi victory the world would have found a way to straighten itself out again.

Clan war's. Nah usually the big tanks have support. Soloing in one is dangerous.
Its a bit early to be picking tanks for release or clan-wars at the moment.
But if release was tomorrow, id go for a IS7 Russian T10 heavy, and a T23 American T8 medium for the scout. I don't like playing TD's or Arty's.
But there is still lots of tanks we haven't seen yet, Like the T9 mediums.
Exp, I didn't really pay attention. Its a elite tank with speed up crew on it.
I *think* it was 1450
