Tanitha: Yeah I don't mean scouting "counts/marks" they goto the tank that
scouts a target first. Light tanks used to be able to rush in,
scout 8 tanks first, kill 1 arty before dieing 2 minutes into the
game, a ton of exp and credits earned and move onto the next tank,
and the scouts like leopards and PZIIIa's were played by vets as a
huge cash cow. Scouting like this isnt as easy now, so now the cash
and exp is in spotting for your bigger tanks while they kill the
target. As halfik posts below. It has nothing to do with the
scounting "count" of who scouted a tank first.

so you job is to spot 1-3 tanks and turn back, run away. you arti will shot - you have to wait till arti will reaload - and you are going to spot again and so on.

to light up the tanks for your bigger tanks to snipe, and your arty

Really solid programming. You have taken the time to think about what makes a game good and have done it and I'm very, very impressed.
My friend recently got me into the game. I didn't think much of it at first (as he tells me about a lot of sucky games) but I had one game of it and was hooked. We're both from Australia.

A few points :
1. Is there going to be an Australian or Pacific server set up? The game is playable at the moment but am sitting on 250-300 ping.
Doubtful, there is a china server which is on west aus time zone. That would probably cover the Asians which are usually grouped onto Australian servers. But if there is a demand for it you never know.. There usually isnt the demand for it though, every aus server Ive ever played on has been dead, and only semi populated a few hours a day during east aus's prime time.

A few, check out panzacs clan. no i don't play there. I have a usa clan for clan wars.
3. Any other Australia tankers out there, reading this? Drop us a message and we'll look at sorting out a group. I've got 5-6 mates already into it so we can go from there.

Tanitha: Imo there's a combination of faults here, the game and light tanks
(since warping was fixed recently), and a "learn to play" deal.
With the current light tanks problem, there was "warping" in game, So moving tanks didn't have their positions updated enough, so if they were at a distance they weren't really where they were meant to be. So light tanks then had a role of scouting, the PZIIIA's were good scouting tanks, With their speed they could get in, scout for your arty, kill the enemy arty, and get paid a lot in a short period of time. But since the warping was fixed, they are a lot easier for the bigger tanks to target, and snipe, so they aren't lasting as long, and scouting is a lot harder. Light tanks need buffing one way or another, to come back into their scouting roles.
As for the learn to play situation, There is many things that will make a player successful or not, and after only a few days playing, you probably aren't aware of these techniques yet, they come with experience.
Some of the basics are.
1. Tanks Armour is different everywhere. Auto aim aims at the turret which is usually the most defended section. you need to work out the enemy tanks weak spots and aim for them, often with "shift" and zoom enabled. Like manholes, machine gun ports, the hull and not the turret, etc. You also need to aim at flat spots on not angled spots etc.. Then you might start hitting/damaging more.. But still there is only so much a small gun can do, so if you cant penetrate a enemies Armour, there is always HE ammo, which usually damages without penetrating.
2. You can change your target reticule, so it displays penetration chance, green decent chance, orange iffy, red, probably not. This will help you learn where to aim.
3. You also need to pick your targets, if you are a small tank, you go after the enemies smaller tanks, and leave the bigger ones alone. Or anything can kill the enemy artillery, so they are always a good target.
4. No matter what tank you have, you will always be up against bigger tanks. unless you have a T10 heavy or something similar. Even then you will be matched up against another T10 heavy, so its still going to be balanced team wise. The main thing you need to realize and know is how exp and credits is paid. Its paid by comparing your tier/level to the tier/level of the tanks you are shooting. You get paid for damage not kills. So you doing 10% to a tank a lot bigger than you, probably will pay you a lot more than that tank will get for one shot killing you who is below their level. So really the higher your tier, the lower you will get paid. The most beneficial tier of tanks is about T5's. Also the person doing the damage isn't paid the credits, 1/2 is paid to the shooter, and 1/2 is paid to the spotter if the shooter cant spot the target themselves. So all you really need to do is camp at a rock near the enemy base, while you are scouting the enemy, and as the bigger tanks get paid their 1/2 for shooting, you get your 1/2 for scouting for them. + your level bonus for the level difference between you and whats killed.
5. another little point is don't sell all your tanks, so when you die, exit the battle, hop onto another tank, and play 3 games in the time you are currently playing 1 at the moment. 3x the profit will help speed things up, as long as you only work on upgrading one of them at a time.
Looking at your stats in game, they are pretty bad, 212 games and 156 average exp. Player stats are here for all to look at, so not like im leaking anything. http://game.worldoft...5325-LaiDragon/ The point is there is lots of room for improvement for you. The T28 you have atm, i averaged 350 exp a game in, and i only played it for 31 games before I dumped it for a bigger tank. They don't take long to obtain. Especially now while you are getting 500 free gold a day, that converts to 200k credits. Or you could save for 30 days premium for 2500 gold, but until you are getting your exp earned per game up a lot, premium is probably a bit of a waste at the lower levels, but you will need it soon if you play a bit... You should be zooming through these lower levels though a lot quicker than you are.
Asking in game chat what others earned in their T28 on average, they mostly were stating figures around 280exp a game average. Either way 30-40 games and you should be out of it.
So i played these. (on the medium russian line)
T34 387exp ave and 78 games
T34-85 423exp ave and 182 games
T43 566exp ave exp and 225 games
T44 625exp ave and I stayed with this tank for ages.
My average exp on these tanks is probably a bit low, because I didn't max them and play them while maxed, i just played them long enough to get to the next tank, so I wasn't playing in good maxed tanks.
So anyway keep at it, I hope the above helps you play better and get more enjoyment out of the game.

No registration or passwords, etc etc. takes 10 seconds to make a email address.
So yeah that way, ,all going well, you can probably download the game, install it on all 10 machines, and get 10 keys, all within an hour.

Its a little bit iffy at the moment, there is for example, two departments, Support and Moderators.
Support have their rules, but mods have input into them, and when they are complete and ready the rules are posted into the forums.
The rules for reporting of tk's etc, game chat, forums, etc all all getting worked on and reviewed at the moment. Because we "hopefully" will be swapping to new servers sooner or later, and a server split, which will probably end up resulting in swapping from closed to open beta, then or soon afterwards.
SO the new rules for everything, are mainly for the open beta swapover.
At the moment, I believe the new forum rules are done, but not being implemented by the mods yet, until they are posted officially.
The new in game rules (chat) are still being worked on and not ready. In game (tk) rules are currently probably going to be changed to "only the killed can report." + a few other minor tweaks.
But while we are between rules, I'd guess both reports from the killed, or other, is still acceptable.
I'll pm you the reply and close this thread. Since discussion on possible news rules, isnt really appropriate until they become official.
So I wouldn't want this to turn into a discussion..

Even in low tier tanks, like say a T4, you usually aren't matched up with 7 T8+'s on the enemy side.
Even then a T4 would be pretty impossible to kill a T8, unless it got a killsteal / killing blow mind about 7 of them. (Unless it was a arty..)

At the moment I think the main restriction is posts discussing the game, go into the closed beta section of the forum, and not into the public sections.
There is currently no restriction on video's and pictures from the EU/USA game.
There is restrictions on posting of he Russian game onto our forums.

game engine doesn't calculate this, these are just visual effects.

Regarding the pic. Henschel turret has 80mm side armor, slightly sloped, overall less than 85mm effective armor. 107mm gun for KV-3 has 167mm penetration. It's not the front of the turret, it's side.
