No, I use that one too. But the Mods aren'y ready yet. It was added, it's called Tactical Vision, or something like that, when you zoom out (mouse wheel) it starts to zoom you out like the Mod, but then does this little "bloop" and you can no longer see your own tank. So you get this brief moment of "where am I". The check box is in General Settings. There is also a Commander Vision, which zooms out a little further like the Mod, I think...anyway. Haven't played with it enough yet.

Knight_6, on Jun 22 2021 - 16:44, said: You need to play a few more games in it to make all these
conclusions. You didnt hit the armor one time vs the
TS. You hit the side skirt once, 2 misses, and you hit the
track once. Your dispersion was kicking your butt. This
was not representative of damage other than the fact that if you
dont hit armor, you wont do damage. Just my observation.
Link on message: #12855575

Jaguarz: Your words merely reinforce the OPs frame of mind, its a rng
gun now with infinate more RNG, you cant dial down the dispersion
and accuracy of the Kv2 or 183s to levels where you can pick where
the shots will land even with the fractional dispersion buffs they
got, you cant snipe cupolas you cant thread it through tracks, you
cant avoid being "screened". 3.8s aim time and 0.6 dispersion you
are lucky to hit a tank anywhere from 50ft away but now theres a
massive array of mitigation capacities you need to cope with.

Jaguarz: The 90 is a great gun but thats not the point, there are
other light tanks to go to for that kind of play, the 152 t49 was a
unique vehicle which required more care.

Subject: Is WG really listening to the community?
Link on message: #12855172
whiskey__tanker, on Jun 22 2021 - 05:49, said: Been playing for 10 years. To be honest, I hear very few
people complain about arty. I feel WG is making a mistake
with all these "nerf" like changes to arty. They are altering
the game to satisfy a tiny % of the players. Most people just
accept arty as part of the game and move on.
Link on message: #12855172

Draschel: It depends on what you mean by people complaining about
artillery. Few people, in terms of number. But in terms of these
people, understanding the game very well?Generally, the more
interactive, absorbed, proficient a person is at world of tanks,
the more of an affront and disdainful attitude they have over
artillery.Likewise the opposite, the more casual, laidback,
inefficient a person is at world of tanks, the more they simply
don't care at all about many things, much less arty. When looking at
these two scopes of game play - it is important to note one side
cares more for the game than the other. And arty is a definite
problem. When looking at the class, artillery is the single most
nerfed class. Again and again and again. WG just cannot get it
right, because it can't ever be set right. It's broken, not under
or overpowered. I do agree though, EBRs are a problem too.
That much is certain. Where, why, when, who had the the
oversight to allow armored cars to come to fruition? Jeez.
Subject: Panther 88 & Lowe (Tier 8)
Link on message: #12855090
Link on message: #12855090
Draschel: Although they certainly gave Panther 88 alpha damage and DPM, they
did not fix the aim-time problem. They also did not fix the pen
problem, should have got 212 pen like Jag Tiger 88. An engine
upgrade is sorely needed too, like how Guard got it. Lowe is
okay. But the problems with Lowe, it is just too slow, and the DPM
is too poor. Even in great position, where hull down it can be
annoying, and the penetration is solid so it can sting even tier
X - it is still average at best because of pitiful DPM.
Front engine compartment means LFP damage taken still cripple the
thing easily. Lowe, along with Mutant 6 and T 34 heavy, need
DPM at least like Kreslavsky. I don't even know where to
start in describing how many buffs are needed to fix MauerBrecher.
Making it more like VK100 01P is a start. Jag Tiger 88
completes the list. 280 alpha like Panther 88 is a good start, and
same with an engine upgrade, the same one that'd go to
Panther

Subject: The Great Arty Protest
Link on message: #12854986
TastyPastry, on Jun 21 2021 - 22:36, said: Arty players already play with one hand on the mouse and one
hand down their pants, so it's not like this change makes any
difference. Most arty players never move from their spot except to
drown at the end of the game. The complaining is from players who
already make no impact on their games.
Link on message: #12854986

Draschel: I thought it was just a hand on the mouse for 5 seconds, then
the station is vacant for 1 minute. Watching ESPN, trying to recall
useful ads, making coffee, taking a smoke break, or rolling a
cigarette even, pouring a glass of beer without foam, arguing with
the wifey, and more.
Subject: Skill4ltu rant tomorrow?
Link on message: #12854957
Link on message: #12854957
Draschel: skill's a very jolly, fun and lighthearted streamer - so I doubt
he'll rant as far as what we know a rant is, like a SirFoch type 5
rant. But he seemed very genuine, even a bit down, to say
he'll take a moment tomorrow to discuss the game's
current hardships and detractors. As a regular for his content, I
have no doubts as to what he'll talk about, but here's a place to
place your bets. Here's my hypothesis: 1- Arta. Skill is quite
keen in believing in only 1 arta per side per battle. I think that
is 1 too much, but certainly better than 3. He also believes arta
missions need to be removed and/or optional. I'd take that further
a notch, just for the benefit of not being prejudiced towards arta,
but making light tank missions optional too. There if you want
them, but not forced upon you. The artillery debate is huge,
controversial, but I am sure he'll include it just because of its
drastic effects on gameplay, tactics, psychology,
Etc. 2- Blowouts. Skill ain't too pleased with the
increasing tendency for the 15-3 battles. Or worse. Frankly, I
think these have been happening forever. And I have been playing
since spring 2011. I don't think this is that big an issue
really. 3- Balance. Not just of vehicles, but of war
gaming tendencies concerning the vehicles themselves. It is
one thing to release tanks like Renegade, or Defender, or
Skorpion, or LT432 which totally outclass their peers and are
essentially half a tier higher than peers - but it's another thing
to understand a vehicle is very strong.....then still go forward
with buffing it anyway. Like Progetto, 279E, A43. On the other
side, completely bipolar, they do nothing and leave tanks like CDC
in its state.....for how long? He may touch upon WG reluctance to
touch premium tanks. By touch, I mean nerf, they get buffed all the
time. 4- Maps. It is no secret that he really dislikes certain
maps. S--- river. S--- border. S--- pass. You get the point. Not
only the maps themselves, but he is no stranger to relate to the
frustration that classes face, being real map specific. Like
an 110E3 or E100 loving Ensk, but S1 and Type 64 sure don't. And
that same S1 and Type love prokhorovka, but E100
don't. 5- New player friendliness and benefit of the
doubt. You know, standard stuff to make the game more user friendly
and socially connecting rather than punishing. Making 6th sense
free, doing something to deal with low tier clubbing, improving
on in-game training, Etc. 6- Tank matchups
within the same class. The least likely I think that gets brought
up, but he still acknowledges it. Having a team with 2 heavies a
piece is fine and all, but it ain't fine when the map is Westfield
and 1 team has Super Conqueror and 60TP, and the other side
stuck with 705A and Panzer VII K. Malinovka, 1 side getting IS7 and
277, and the other Maus and E100? What about light tanks, 1 side
getting EBR105 and the other getting panzer wagon. See what I mean?
No different in TD, with Ensk a team has to use its 103B-0 while
the other team is blessed with 268 V 4 or
110E3. Everyone else's thoughts? Make sure to tune in
tomorrow.
Subject: M4 Ravioli Back At It
Link on message: #12854942
Link on message: #12854942
Draschel: I like the Ravioli. One of my fav machines to run in front lines
and skirmishes. I do think it is a wee-bit dated though, but still
a capable machine to run if the pilots capable too.Alpha damage,
gun depression, gun handling, view range all nicely
combine. Okay mobility, and considering the alpha, the DPM is
acceptable too.... compared to Guard / T-34-3 Biggest
drawbacks are non-existent protection, poor penetration, and
very slow HE shells.
