Draschel: skill's a very jolly, fun and lighthearted streamer - so I doubt
he'll rant as far as what we know a rant is, like a SirFoch type 5
rant. But he seemed very genuine, even a bit down, to say
he'll take a moment tomorrow to discuss the game's
current hardships and detractors. As a regular for his content, I
have no doubts as to what he'll talk about, but here's a place to
place your bets. Here's my hypothesis: 1- Arta. Skill is quite
keen in believing in only 1 arta per side per battle. I think that
is 1 too much, but certainly better than 3. He also believes arta
missions need to be removed and/or optional. I'd take that further
a notch, just for the benefit of not being prejudiced towards arta,
but making light tank missions optional too. There if you want
them, but not forced upon you. The artillery debate is huge,
controversial, but I am sure he'll include it just because of its
drastic effects on gameplay, tactics, psychology,
Etc. 2- Blowouts. Skill ain't too pleased with the
increasing tendency for the 15-3 battles. Or worse. Frankly, I
think these have been happening forever. And I have been playing
since spring 2011. I don't think this is that big an issue
really. 3- Balance. Not just of vehicles, but of war
gaming tendencies concerning the vehicles themselves. It is
one thing to release tanks like Renegade, or Defender, or
Skorpion, or LT432 which totally outclass their peers and are
essentially half a tier higher than peers - but it's another thing
to understand a vehicle is very strong.....then still go forward
with buffing it anyway. Like Progetto, 279E, A43. On the other
side, completely bipolar, they do nothing and leave tanks like CDC
in its state.....for how long? He may touch upon WG reluctance to
touch premium tanks. By touch, I mean nerf, they get buffed all the
time. 4- Maps. It is no secret that he really dislikes certain
maps. S--- river. S--- border. S--- pass. You get the point. Not
only the maps themselves, but he is no stranger to relate to the
frustration that classes face, being real map specific. Like
an 110E3 or E100 loving Ensk, but S1 and Type 64 sure don't. And
that same S1 and Type love prokhorovka, but E100
don't. 5- New player friendliness and benefit of the
doubt. You know, standard stuff to make the game more user friendly
and socially connecting rather than punishing. Making 6th sense
free, doing something to deal with low tier clubbing, improving
on in-game training, Etc. 6- Tank matchups
within the same class. The least likely I think that gets brought
up, but he still acknowledges it. Having a team with 2 heavies a
piece is fine and all, but it ain't fine when the map is Westfield
and 1 team has Super Conqueror and 60TP, and the other side
stuck with 705A and Panzer VII K. Malinovka, 1 side getting IS7 and
277, and the other Maus and E100? What about light tanks, 1 side
getting EBR105 and the other getting panzer wagon. See what I mean?
No different in TD, with Ensk a team has to use its 103B-0 while
the other team is blessed with 268 V 4 or
110E3. Everyone else's thoughts? Make sure to tune in
tomorrow.
