merig00: Light tanks - very maneuverable and fast are mostly scout and bring death to the SPGs. Upgraded radio is a must since you will "light up" enemy tanks on the map for SPGs to shoot at :D Also if you light up an enemy tank and it is killed by your ally that wouldn't be able to see it without your help, you will get % of the experience and credits. Also please don't rush to the enemy base right away. Wait for your arties to position themselves. Cause if they can't shoot while you are wrecking havoc on the enemy base - you'll die for nothing.

Medium tanks - are the core of the game. They have good speed, good armor and good guns. Don't just rush away. Travel in groups. Protect your SPGs from light tanks and also flanks of the heavy tanks.

Heavy Tanks - slow, heavy armor and heavy guns. Slow reload time and slow turrets. However if you are a heavie don't travel alone cause several fast medium tanks will take you apart just like that. Great support for a swarm of medium tanks around it.

Tank-Destroyers (TDs also known as Anti-Tank ATs) - snipers of the game. Upgraded radio is a must. Heavy frontal armor, weak sides and rear. Very powerful long-range gun. Tactic: hide in the bushes (reduces your visibility) behind your lines and shoot at enemy your allies in front of you "lit up". Several TDs are as fast as medium tanks. Use it to your advantage to move from one spot to another.

SPGs (Self-Propelled Guns, artillery, artie, howitzers) - upgraded radio is a must. Hide in the bushes not far from your base. Ask for a medium tank or two to protect you. Kill your enemies. Watch out not to splash-damage your allies if they are too close to your target since most arties use HE(high explosive) rounds. Low level arties you'll need to move up the map as your tank advances, but higher levels are able to diagonally shoot across the map. When you are in "bird view" remember that everything is 3D so your positing (if you are standing on sloped hill) height of the buildings and even tanks may change your trajectory. Don't have too many rounds and slow on reload. Every shot counts!

Increases your engine HP(hits) by 20%

Modules are available for purchase in the store section "Equipment"

Or you can purchase right in the hangar - left click on the empty box (to the right from the shells) you want the equipment installed at.

After you choose the equipment you want to buy you will see a confirmation window

If you do it this way the equipment will be installed on the tank right away.
If you already purchased it in the store just left-click on the empty box and you will see that equipment on the list. The same goes for the second slot.

IMPORTANT!
Some equipment is available only for a particular nation! Some for USSR and others for Germany! You can check it by clicking on the equipment slot in the hangar - you will see only equipment that is available for this particular tank
If you want to use another equipment instead of the selected one - just left-click on the box and choose the equipment you want to use. Your previous equipment won't disappear it will be awaiting its next use on the shelf in your warehouse. That's where you can find it in case you want to sell it.
If you want to remove the equipment from your tank just left-click on the box with it, find it on the list and left-click it again. It will be removed from the slot and will be waiting in the warehouse. This is useful when you want to use that equipment on some other tank but you own only one set.
2. Available Equipment
The devs come up with new equipment all the time so I hope this section will be frequently updated
Improved Ventilation
+2% to all skills of the crew

It actually says skills in the description, but what it does it adds +2% to the experience of your crew members. So if your commander had 100% with this equipment he'll be at 102%
Additional grousers

There are different types of ground in the game. This will not make your tank go faster than the max. speed. But it will help you to faster pass through the difficult terrain.
Charge tanks with CO2
Chance of the fire in case of fuel-tank damage -50%

It's something like the CO2 tanks for the fuel-tank. But if the fuel-tank fire is by chance, your shells have some hits number before they blow up, this equipment doubles that number.

REMOVING CLOUDS:
Find the following folder WOT=>Res=>Maps=>Skyboxes and rename Skyboxes for example as Skyboxes2

REMOVING FIRE AND SMOKE FROM BURNING TANKS:
Find the following folder WOT=>Res=>particles=>Tank
Rename the files containing the following in their names
Explosion
Fire
Flaming
Add number 2 to the name (i.e. fire_12/fire_22/fire_32 etc.)


REMOVING SMOKE FROM TANK EXHAUST
Get to World_of_Tanks_closed_Beta\res\particles\Tank

Find files engine_exit_diesel and engine_exit_gass

Replace them with files attached to this post. Don't forget to save somewhere the original files.
