"Bans are not to be disputed on the forums. Please file a ticket at support@worldoftanks.com" blah blah blah.
Especially with, SoulSpectre reading it....

Tanitha: That is correct.

I will not support a company that just sells out it's supporters like this and I am refusing to play WoT till this issue is fixed.
Think if this happened to you. How would you feel? I'm dang sure you would want someone to protest for you. So let's protest. No one here can say this is a fair decision.

Tanitha: Promoting players to break the rules, and breaking the rules yourself, isnt the way to get things fixed.

View PostChairman_Maus, on Oct 26 2011 - 06:16, said: WG had a medal for christ sake named after him. They changed the name let this guy change his.

Tanitha: He is allowed to change his name.

View PostComrade_Ryanovski, on Oct 26 2011 - 06:20, said: Giving a warning for this is not in WOT playbook, lets be honest most people would obliviously think of "Hitler",Himmer", Gobbels ect as violating the EU rules but not Michal Whitman!
But the right thing to do on WOT's part would be to give a warning and an opportunity to change the name since no doubt he had this name through 1000's of games and among others who also
have variations on this name. But outright banning is so much easier rather then doing the right thing I suppose.
But the Irony of course is that we play German tanks which the Nazi's used to over run other nations, and of course Russian tanks named after Stalin!

Tanitha: This is his warning to change his name. A ticket to support requesting a name change would have gotten this fixed promptly.

View PostSealteam6, on Oct 26 2011 - 06:06, said: Then this is his escape from jail card.
We're all agreed the name falls under WoTs rules as the SS are outlawed in certain parts of Europe so expect all the M Wittmans to receive the same mail.
This just WoTs way of getting his attention.
A rationally written trouble ticket with the evidence above attached should see him fine but don't expect replies straight away, it goes through the Minsk Offices for these sorts of bans & takes a week to 10 days for a reply.
Don't ask North American Mods to help, they cant, its you & head office in Belarus now.

Tanitha: I would like to bet that 99.9% of tickets are handled within 24 hours now days. Except for some individual tickets that are assigned to specific management for a complete investigation. Please dont spread misinformation that tickets take 7-10 days to get replied to, they dont.
The player put in a ticket to change his name, it was answered and resolved within 3 hours. This is a pretty common turn around time for support now days.
The name change has been scheduled for the next maintenance, and the ban's already been removed.
Issue closed, thread closed, next time take things through the right channels, there is nothing players or mods can do, it was a support issue, fixed promptly by support.

Wargaming and BigWorld were on-hand to meet with media and members of the video game industry alike – showcasing World of Tanks and our upcoming titles, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships.
We also had a chance to record a few videos at the BigWorld booth, where attendees had a chance to check out the latest and greatest for World of Tanks and other great games built on BigWorld technology.
In the first video, Chris Keeling – Wargaming Military Advisor – talks about the realism in contemporary war games, World of Tanks and a special historical artifact that Wargaming received from the folks at BigWorld.
The second video shows off the after party at The Art Department, where BigWorld Technology developers presented Victor Kislyi – CEO of Wargaming – with a surprise trophy, for excellence in record-setting and game development on BigWorld-powered World of Tanks, as well as the upcoming World of Warplanes and World of Battleships.

Subject: World of Tanks News and Information\News and Information\Gamespot Reviews World of Tanks
Link on message: #1037676

GeneralDirection: Media outlet Gamespot – hard at work conquering the battlefields of World of Tanks the past few months – have now offered up their review of the game. World of Tanks has received a score of 8/10, the best score given by the outlet to a Free-to-Play game ever.
Check out some of what the folks at Gamespot had to say about World of Tanks, or head over and read the full review!
World of Tanks is a great, accessible shooter that you'll probably end up spending some money on even though you don't have to.
Hear the title, see a few screenshots, and you could be forgiven for assuming that World of Tanks is a simulation game inaccessible to anyone who doesn't know the difference between a T20 and a T29. That's not the case at all though; World of Tanks is a shooter first and foremost, with uncomplicated controls and a relatively sedate pace that make it easy to get into. Furthermore, it's a free-to-play game that, while loaded with plenty of ways for you to spend money, can be enjoyed for countless hours without ever doing so. World of Tanks wouldn't be difficult to recommend even if reaching for your wallet was a prerequisite, so recommending that you give it a try for free is a no-brainer.
World of Tanks battles may last less than 15 minutes each, but this is a game that you're likely to lose hours, days, and weeks of your life to once you start playing. Don't be surprised if you're tempted to spend a little money on it at some point as well; you can absolutely have a great time playing for free indefinitely, but dropping a dollar here and there to train crew members or to transfer research points between tanks is money well spent. Also good value is the recently released retail copy of the game which, for $20, gets you $30 worth of in-game credits, gold, and a T2 tank. You should obviously check out the game for free before going out and buying that, but once you've decided that you want to play more of the game, the retail box is a good way to add to your in-game garage and bank balance early on. The important thing is that whether you're playing for free or spending a small fortune on premium projectiles, World of Tanks is a blast.

2. French will be balanced with their counterparts from the very beginning. Certain rebalancing may be needed upon the of multi turrer/gun feature.

Examples:
1. Obj.704 shoot on light tank- no damage just tracked. Same happens with T95.
2.AP shot hits me-2 critical hits /2 tracks at once, track and turret, track and ammo rack, etc./
3. Front hull AP shot-tank on fire/engine damage/fuel damage/gun damage.

Overlord: 1. The shell went below the vehicle without any danage inflicted to the hull.
2. Depends on the exact trajectory. Double detracking is rather frequent.
3. The shell either hit front transmission or went through damaging the engine directly. Both can cause fire.

I beleive it was previously stated the intent in the end was to keep such tanks in the battle for a couple minutes longer before they burn up to allow enemies the chance to still get the kill.
All I know is it was highly aggrivating to work my ass off in my stock T20 earlier today to outmaneuver a tier 9 TD,track him, and then get locked on his rear. (And even then I was bouncing off his rear armor 4/5 shots.) I worked hard to get those shots and the reward that comes with managint to deal damage to such a larger tank, and he just pulled his plug.

Overlord: Planning to leave the vehicles of quitted players until the end of the battle and blow them up, if they dont get destroyed by then. The feature will be included in 7.0.

It is the very same people thanks to whom you hate MLP so much. You can keep your contempt for them since they have no intention to change their ways. Their new clan will be called WAR.
The people who were shafted have no reason to be concerned about their reputation. The very fact they were kicked out is evidence enough they have nothing in common with these trolls and cheats.
Deathtouch was not consulted on this because he would have never agreed to such a thing. Essentially the clan was taken away from him.
I woke up this morning to check how CW went last night to find I had no clan. I have previously stayed away from the forums due to obscenely high level of stupidity involved in people trolling each other (both from MLP and non) over a tank game. Now, I am searching for why I have no clan. This is the first post I have come across with even a hint of it. Guess, I need to spend a bit more time on the forums in the future. Ohhhhhh sweet irony.
I for one feel this was very underhanded. It makes me wonder where that 200k gold really went? And by whom was it really moved?
At this point if I did join another clan it would not be one allied with whom ever MLP has now become. I obviously made a very poor decision in trying to join MLP in the first place.
Edit: I realize that this post points the finger at all MLP. However, there were many MLP members that were good people and I enjoyed playing with them. Its a shame that I will probably not get to play with some of them again.

Deathtouch creating an alt account to post that drivel is an example of how uninformed he truly is. I have had nothing to do with the disbanding of MLP nor the founding of WAR. I also don't fully agree with the way things went down, a lot of my friends were negatively affected by this, and I wish the situation was handled differently. However I don't disagree with DT not being in the loop on this. He has had an abysmal attendance rate in recent months (10 days of the previous 56 - 18%), most members would be moved to inactive and why he wasn't is a mystery to me. I realize that he's been going to med school, but that didn't stop him from playing other games with other clans. The only thing he has done in WoT recently is post on the forums and make an ass of himself and MLP.
Nerds, as for that 200k gold, I still haven't gotten any information from WG about it. If they can't give the treasurer of the clan this sort of information, then that's a severe failure on WarGaming's part. While the situation does suck, please don't take Chris' word that everyone but him is trying to screw you over. I enjoyed playing with you and hope to continue to do so in the future, wherever we all end up.

Hypnotik: Everyone got their fair share as was owed to them. The payout went out yesterday just like it normally would have. The part that went out equal to all was because I finished doing the payout, and then the turn rolled over. Rather than do an attendance-based distribution of 670 gold, it just went out equally to all active members.

ARGO: Greetings all,
Today I am going to talk about courtesy in-game or on forum because I feel it is becoming ever more important as WoT grows. We all have to remember that this game like it or not is a world wide game where people of ALL walks of life come to play and have good competition and maybe escape the hum drum of their real life problems. I have seen and heard a lot about how sometimes we run into a little of what I call "culture shock" in which we all run into things like language barriers or just how others play the game. I for one have written many articles regarding good sportsmanship as well as in-game conduct but now I think we also have to look at where we all are as far as a community. The NA server spans through many different countries and has a great deal of really descent people and clans "as well as a few bad apples" but for the most part I think the NA forums / server is a pretty nice place and in saying that I myself as well as you all have to remember that when we are playing that we are all here to have fun and sometimes in doing so that means having a little patience with the new guy, the guy who doesn't speak English well, or the 9 year old who likes to push your buttons by chat boxing like crazy. Now I am not saying we should allow for any negative behavior, that's what support is for. What I am saying is that you may want to take the time when you can to get to know a player you may feel is struggling or is just not getting it. You may find that you can help him and in the process make yourself a new friend or even a clan mate. Heck, you may find this guy properly informed can be a one man wrecking machine and one hell of a platoon mate! In short I think the message I want to put across is pretty straight forward, Let's take each player, One at a time because it never hurts and costs you nothing to make a new friend.

If you don't care about the history, that's fine. Some do. Everyone has different things they'd like to see in the game, that's to be expected.
But I'm baffled by the pointless attacks on anyone who would prefer something more historical. Why am I "a joke" just because I think the history is important? Why can't people who like the history side express their desire for that, just like anyone else? How is it somehow a sense of entitlement to express what we want? There's ten pages here, mostly full of people asking for this bonus or that reward that they personally need, but somehow the people asking for more historically connected events are showing a selfish sense of entitlement and should just be happy with what we're given? Even when most of what we're asking for has nothing to do with what would benefit us personally?
A big part of the disconnect here, IMHO, is that WG set a standard. Most of the events have been based on rewarding people for playing the tanks that were actually there. It was a nice nod to history in a game which (as has been pointed out repeatedly) generally doesn't respect history much in any other aspect. They're moving away from that, and some of us feel that's a loss. There's really no part of that which deserves the assault it's gotten.

GeneralDirection: We're not going to stop giving a nod to history, that's a given. It's why we've created all of the events we have the past two months (including those specifically tailored to North America) -- both in-game and out of it. November and December will be awesome for history buffs, I can assure you. You might even be able to snag some free gold if you participate in the events we're planning.

Russian Matilda for instance is over gunned for the battle and the valentine is under gunned for the same battle. American tanks are listed with there British names. German PZ4 is mentioned because the short 75 armed E models where fielded throughout the desert campaign.

GeneralDirection: As I've already answered multiple times in this thread, there are reasons a number of the tanks you mention are not in this particular special. I'll point out why each isn't included.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: American; [Lend Lease]
M3 Stuart [honey]

GeneralDirection: This is actually a fair point, and one I admittedly missed. The Stuart has not been included in any specials yet, and so I will rectify that. We also have an event coming up in November specifically for the Stuart.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: M3 Lee [grant]
M7 Priest [90 were in service, some having been used at this battle. Latter modified to carry the 25 pdr and renamed the Sexton]

GeneralDirection: These are included.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: M4 Sherman [300 of these "swallows" tanks served]

GeneralDirection: The M4 Sherman has been reduced in price and received double credits three times now. We didn't include it because of plans for November, as well as the previously mentioned fact.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: German;
Panzer 3 [H - J Models]

GeneralDirection: The PzKpfw III is in this special, and has not been used before. Even if it weren't in the battle, I probably would have selected it for the special simply because it hasn't been given bonus credits before.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: Panzer 2

GeneralDirection: The price of the PzKpfw II was reduced substantially recently, so we're not yet ready to include it in specials. That said, it has never been included in specials before, so there's a good chance we'll consider it before the end of the year for bonus credits.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: Panzer 4 [E Models]

GeneralDirection: The PzKpfw IV has been discounted 5 times, granted bonus credits 4 times. So this is why it's not present.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: Marder 2 [Sub for the Marder 3 which was there]
Bison

GeneralDirection: As with the PzKpfw II, their prices were reduced substantially recently and will not be included in specials for the time being. That said, they also haven't been included in a special yet, so there's a good chance they will be soon.

View Postnicodeimous, on Oct 20 2011 - 18:10, said: Russian; [In lieu of the British]
Valentine [Valentine III]
Matilda [Matilda 2pdr version was there]

GeneralDirection: Let's just say, "more details." :)

Does anyone remember the last time 50% off price was offered for this tank? I noticed double credits are being applied this weekend for the 02DB for El Alamein special(WTF?). However, being relatively new to game and more or less have credits to just buy tank without slapping on any extra modules, I was just curious if it's plausible that they would apply 50% off to purchase price this weekend. IMO as a perk incentive I think the historical accuracy QQ within this thread could be smothered by not offering double credits for some of the aforementioned tanks as 50% off may be a better solution, but that's just my opinion.

GeneralDirection: The VK 3002 (DB) has never been discounted or given a double credit bonus, which is exactly the reason I chose it for this weekend's special.

In daily doubles, is free xp 5% base (before double) or 5% doubled xp? In specials where the daily double is increased to daily quintuple, is free xp 5% base or 5%(base*5)?

Overlord: All exp counts, including both doubled and x5. If you get 10k per battle, 500 will to free exp.

Overlord, has it at all been considered that the prime reason why there are so many complainers, whiner, and Russian bias callers is due to how much information the development team does withhold? I mean, the only reason why we found out how blatantly biased the Russian camo advantage was, was due to someone decrypting an important file. Without that we would have never known how full of crap the camo system really was, and possibly still is. We have no idea how to know that your "readjustment" of the camo values doesn't still put anything non-Russian at a disadvantage. We only have your word that everything is now based on "volume", yet we can't actually trust your word since we have such abundant truth that you have deceived us so unrighteously in the past.
Do you have any comments on why so many statistics are being withheld from the community? Preferably something that doesn't rely on the "security, hackers, exploiters, herp derp" shtick every developer out there likes to default on.
Love and huggles,
-Hiru

Overlord: Those pieces that are not given to public are considered to be not essential for getting fun from the game. We don't want players spend hours calculating and accounting.

But, why Chinese (other than aiming for the huge Chinese player market)? Any info on "Captured Panther", "Demolisher Tank", "Sherman with 90", "T34 with LB1"?
The PT-76 and PT-85 may also make excellent potential premium vehicles. Hey, I am giving you ideas on making more money out of premium vehicles :Smile_great:

Overlord: Not in medium-term plans for sure.
