Tanitha: They run on the same rulesets to keep uniformity.

"Bans are not to be disputed on the forums. Please file a ticket at support@worldoftanks.com" blah blah blah.
Especially with, SoulSpectre reading it....
Tanitha: That is correct.

Think if this happened to you. How would you feel? I'm dang sure you would want someone to protest for you. So let's protest. No one here can say this is a fair decision.
Tanitha: Promoting players to break the rules, and breaking the rules
yourself, isnt the way to get things fixed.

Tanitha: He is allowed to change his name.

But the right thing to do on WOT's part would be to give a warning and an opportunity to change the name since no doubt he had this name through 1000's of games and among others who also
have variations on this name. But outright banning is so much easier rather then doing the right thing I suppose.
But the Irony of course is that we play German tanks which the Nazi's used to over run other nations, and of course Russian tanks named after Stalin!
Tanitha: This is his warning to change his name. A ticket to support
requesting a name change would have gotten this fixed promptly.

We're all agreed the name falls under WoTs rules as the SS are outlawed in certain parts of Europe so expect all the M Wittmans to receive the same mail.
This just WoTs way of getting his attention.
A rationally written trouble ticket with the evidence above attached should see him fine but don't expect replies straight away, it goes through the Minsk Offices for these sorts of bans & takes a week to 10 days for a reply.
Don't ask North American Mods to help, they cant, its you & head office in Belarus now.
Tanitha: I would like to bet that 99.9% of tickets are handled within 24
hours now days. Except for some individual tickets that are
assigned to specific management for a complete investigation.
Please dont spread misinformation that tickets take 7-10 days to
get replied to, they dont.
The player put in a ticket to change his name, it was answered and resolved within 3 hours. This is a pretty common turn around time for support now days.
The name change has been scheduled for the next maintenance, and the ban's already been removed.
Issue closed, thread closed, next time take things through the right channels, there is nothing players or mods can do, it was a support issue, fixed promptly by support.
