since you're here dev. i have a simple request to prevent newbies hunter in tier 1.
How about putting players with 50-99% crew together in tier 1 and 2? Anyone above that have to play against 100% crew and those with multiple perks player.
I mean gold round is already allow but when you grant a multiple perks player in a platoon of 3, newbies will have a very tough time.
I know this because i start off with 50% crew when i got this game 2 months ago and the only thing i fear is platoon of 3 with over 10-15k game played that have multiple perks.

GeneralDirection: It's a difficult problem to address. Much like an ELO-based system, there are a lot of potential issues with yes/no matchmaker criteria. We don't want to ruin any player's experience--regardless of the number of battles played. So we have to approach restrictions very carefully.

I dunno... considering Tiger's career (past few years aside--his mind was wrecked), I don't think he competed with people on his level. It's like saying Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth and Wayne Gretzky competed with people on the same level. He's a step above the competition.

Punishing someone for something that they have no control over would be not hiring someone because they're black, or not dating a man because he is too old.

GeneralDirection: But it's not. Not everyone can pull out their wallet and drop hundreds of dollars without a blink of the eye to upgrade their computer. We're not at 45 million registered players by catering to the upper echelon of computers. Everything is a fine balance, from gameplay to minimum system requirements. We're not looking to allow a Commodore 64 or a Pac-Man machine to run the game, but we also don't want to shut out the folks who have lower end laptops or desktops that they can't quite afford to upgrade yet.

GeneralDirection: Slightly related to the "FAME!" thread, but who do you instantly recognize in a battle? Is it someone who you've come across in the past and they flat out dominated, or is it someone you recognize from discussions here on the forum?
To set some guidelines: clan members / allies, friends and Wargaming staff do not count. I want to know who you feel good--or intimidated--about having in a battle with you.
I'll kick things off: sela and Garbad both intimidate me (I've observed their play in tournaments--they're ridiculously good players). Whee, jdtherocker and Mow_Mow are always pleasant to have in the battle.
What about you all? Who are the players to immediately recognize?

GeneralDirection: The 30-second countdown is there to allow for lagging players--whether PC or internet--to get into the battle. In most cases it's caused by the player's PC, so once they're loaded in things will be fine. If we removed the 30-second countdown, there's a good chance you'd run into battles where half your team isn't finished loading before the combat starts.
While our motto is "Let's Battle!", we're not looking to ruin someone's World of Tanks experience to achieve that. We realize not everyone has the best computer system available today, and we're looking to avoid punishing them for something that they might not have control over.

Q: Am I eligible as a North American cluster player, even if I live outside of North America?
A: Absolutely. We will honor shipments to most countries around the world. If you have unlocked a tier 10 vehicle and want to redeem your t-shirt, we will honor your achievement regardless of the location you call home.
I live outside the US. I'll hold on to this promise...lol.
So what happen if you can't ship that t-shirt to my location? Do we get some sort of other consolation? I'm just asking, for me it didnt matter if I get it or not. Nice promo btw, I'll spend some dollars for a new prem tank later on.

GeneralDirection: To be completely honest we didn't discuss an alternative. We were dead set on shipping the shirts to any country that allows it. If you're concerned, I recommend looking into your customs laws for things like shirts. If there's something that will prevent you from receiving it, let us know and we'll discuss the situation.

GeneralDirection: I just want you to know that you aren't being ignored. You've been very vocal for German tanks, and we're listening. The recent changes to Russian heavies were to bring things more inline in terms of balance. We're probably not there yet overall, and we probably won't ever be (it's the nature of an ever-changing online game), but we're focused on making sure every branch in the game feels rewarding to play and doesn't leave you scratching your head. The last thing we want to do is have someone play our game and think "Man, why did I waste my time with this?" That's just counter-productive.
You've been a staunch advocate for the German branches in particular, and I want you to know we recognize that. We may not always agree with you on balance concerns, but we do look at all feedback--negative and positive--before making a decision.
Ultimately we're designing the game for you. We play World of Tanks, but we're not out to produce something we like--we want a game that everyone likes.

We have no intention of stopping. We will continue to evolve and innovate on ideas to provide the highest quality service possible--all with no upfront cost. If you pay, we want you doing that because you're enjoying the experience and want to give a little something as recognition of that.
2013 is going to be a big year for realizing some of this evolution, so we can't wait to share more about it when the time is right.

That was a happy Holidays video?.... that was lame... really lame. Had nothing to do with the Holidays besides a bad looking Santa breaking into a tank hangar. With a map that terrain pops up for some magic reason.
PLUS THE KITTY!! WHY WOULD U DO THAT TO THE KITTY??
But really...
that video, was pretty bad..
Reading the post here and all the "what the.." post, Glad I don't feel the same on this one.

GeneralDirection: I see the purpose of the video flew right over your head. Don't worry, I didn't get it at first either.
Hint: T1E6
