Thanks WG
but can you answer the tie question for future ties in other tournaments?
IMHO, 1st 2nd and 3rd place should be added together and then split...
if not, we could have just pinned their T-1 against a wall, got a draw for second place and made more gold then a tie for first.
Thanks again
Vird_Killer, on Aug 06 2013 - 23:30, said: He said pooled and split. So that would be 2500+2000+1500/3=2000
per team. If you had just tied for second you would get
2000+1500/2=1750 per team.
My tiebreaker question is still unclear
3 way tie for 2nd Team A, B, and C
Team A beat Team B
Team B beat Team C
Team C beat Team A
Team B beat #1 team. Team A and C lost to #1
Team A lost to #1 and tie for #2
Team B lost to tie for #2 and #5
Team C lost to #1 and tie for #2
To me it seems the head to head is a wash.
So since Team B beat #1 they would get 2nd. Does it then go to the third tiebreaker between A and C which would be a tie and thus be a gold split of 3rd and 4th?
Clarification would be helpful.

Captain_Judo: First, let me point out that a three-way tie for 2nd implies that
2nd, 3rd and 4th place are held by these three teams. The next
available standing is 5th. I mention this because it can be a
source of confusion as sometimes teams expect that the next
available standing is 3rd when three teams are tied for
2nd.
The third tie breaker rule states:Opponent Strength - final rank of opponents that have defeated your team
If I understand the example you're illustrating, Team B would get hit for losing to the team ranked #5 whereas the lowest rank the other teams lost to is rank #2.
Now that two teams are tied for 2nd place, we examine the head to head between Team A and Team C. So the final standing gives us:
2nd Place: Team C
3rd Place: Team A
4th Place: Team B

lord_farquad: Flying 7+ people out, is already extremely difficult, and has
prevented our game from being used in some live events. So it's
unlikely we'll be increasing the number of players per team.

lord_farquad: No, we don't give gold for each win. Players are using special
accounts, so they're not actually spending anything in order to
participate. Plus we're giving them a chance at $100,000, which
imho, is better than gold.... although we will be giving away some
additional awards in Vegas, which will include gold.

do you get gold via each win like in the major's?-zone, Burn All Empires
lord_farquad:
No, we don't give gold for each win. Players are using special accounts, so they're not actually spending anything in order to participate. Plus we're giving them a chance at $100,000, which imho, is better than gold.... although we will be giving away some additional awards in Vegas, which will include gold.
