company, then there is the anniversary of the launch of the game
(RU region) which is being honoured as it's a fairly significant
date. (We'll also have something in April next year for the EU/NA 5

Technocrat_Prime, on 30 July 2015 - 08:51 AM, said: That was just a heavy, but the Centurion was the first MBT. Now
guess why all modern tanks are MBTs and no one makes Heavies
anymore?Ectar: In a word - Technology. If you see an MBT and what
World of Tanks players would call a "heavy" side by side, the
MBT is pretty much the same size. Over time we discovered
better armour composites and pretty much everyone is using the same
or similar guns so they know what to expect will be shot at
them. Battlefields have changed and there is no ongoing war
that dictates certain requirements in vehicles. In a similar vein
combat doctrines have changed over time too. You don't need a
"breakthrough" tank or an "infantry support tank" any
more. It's the same with modern jet fighters compared to old
piston engines fighters. Look at planes like the Spitfire,
Mustang and Ilyushin IL-2 and now look at modern day
equivalents such as the the Typhoon JSF the F-35Lightning/JSF and
the A-10 Warthog (I know it's not modern per-say but
look at it's role). Vehicles and combat styles change with
technology. The progression to MBT "jack of all trades" style
was necessary due to the role of the tank in modern battlefields.
The original Mk 1 tanks were used to cross trenches and they were
armed with machine guns only till someone figured out if you put a
big gun on one you can take out other tanks. Bi plane pilots
used to wave at each other, then they'd throw stuff at each other,
then they'd use handguns, then someone mounted a machine gun and
the rest as they say is history.

but that still in no way entitles you to demand in-game content to
be available to you on whatever terms you decide. The Clan
Wars tanks are a reward for winning the Clan Wars campaign (or
finishing high enough). You can go over this subject a million and
one ways but the answer is always going to be the same. You have to
be in it to win it. Anyone, and I really mean pretty much anyone
can form a clan or join a clan to take part. The difference is that
players have to want to do it and have to put the time into doing
so. If you don't have the time or are willing to try then I'm
sorry but you're not going to get those vehicles via any other
means. Heck not even WG staff can have then added to their
accounts, we have to participate just like everyone else.

that something is possible to alter in the future. Just say it like
that Ectar; Nothing of what we write in any our our news articles
or posts can in no way be held accountable in the future as you
might decide to change policy.Ectar: No, as I said over a year ago there was no plans to make the
Hydro available again unless it was part of a retail promotion
package. No policy is ever absolute and to have the mind set of
"this is how things were done in the past, so we're going to keep
doing things that way" and never changing, is not good in a
constantly changing and evolving industry. As I also said I
can only ever give you information I have at the time, and at that
time the information is correct. It's impossible for me to predict
the future and if you want guarantees for stuff a year down the
line I'm afraid that's not going to be possible for
everything. There is various classifications of
premium tanks. As an example there are tanks that are
unavailable for any retail or in-game sales (such as the pre-order
tanks, alpha/beta tanks for that region, Type 59, clan wars tier X
tanks). Tanks that are set aside for retail promotions or special
events (PzIIJ, BTSV, Pz Hydro). Retail promotion tanks
can't be offered for cheaper than their initial packages when they
were offered. This is why they are added to existing gold offers so
the tank is essentially free. The first group of tanks are
unavailable for various reasons which are all fair reasons.
Pre-order tanks were to reward loyal players who supported the
launch of the game. Clan Wars tanks are a reward for
participating in Clan Wars. You want one of them? Then play Clan
Wars. Simply saying you don't have time or would rather pay money
for them doesn't mean you have any entitlement to them or that they
should be made available for you. It's like wanting a gold
medal but saying you can't be bothered running a race. If you
want the prize, you need to take part in the contest, there is no
other way around that. Complaining the RU server can purchase
pre-order tanks is pointless because the RU server never had a
pre-order phase so the tanks were never available
there. That's why the KV220 sometimes comes up for sale in EU
as it was a vehicle never available in EU previously.

can post. If you find a post with someone spamming, please report
this immediately. Please understand that at 5am in the
morning we might not be able to immediately take action. If
you find a forum section that doesn't have the 50 battles limit
then please let a member of staff know. I'll be making a pass of
the forum posting rules right now to make sure they're set up
correct.

"Pz4 Hydro exclusive to the mouse"Ectar: In before I edit the post I've already quoted and linked to
in a closed thread? I stand by what I said because that's
what I was told over a year ago. Have a go at me all you want but a
year ago that's what the company policy was. There really wasn't
any intention to sell the vehicle through other means. Fast
forward to a year later and players want to be able to buy limited
availability tanks, however we have restrictions regarding the
prices that they can be offered at. When it was the PzIIJ or
the BTSV the other regions didn't get it for cheaper either.
We have a limited pool of vehicles we can offer players, and
sometimes vehicles will only be sold for limited durations. If the
demand is high the vehicle may be made available at a later date.
This is never something guaranteed however and it's impossible to
predict our direct over a year from now, or the desires of the
community.

said "current plans" and whenever someone asks about future events,
or what may happen in the future, I can only say how things are for
now and always try to pick my words carefully. I
appreciate the frustration from players regarding the pricing of
the vehicle. Because it was part of a retail promotion, that
means there is limitations on the price the vehicle can be offered
for (as selling it now cheaper than it's initial package will cause
lots of issues with the players who purchased it
earlier). It's not an easy balance when pricing content that
at the same time you want to keep it's uniqueness. If
players want something to be rare, there is only a few factors
to allow that: Limited amount of the content available Limited
amount of time the content is available for Limited requirements in
order to qualify for the content. For this specific package,
it's a limited requirement due to the pricing of the package.
Pricing which at least one other player has pointed out is the same
as a regular gold bundle without the additional content. I'm sorry
it's not available to everyone for a much cheaper package, but you
have to also remember guys you can't have something rare and
exclusive and at the same time have it commonly and easily
available.

the premium round will give you more pentration to get through the
armour in front of it. Premium rounds don't come with any
modifiers for higher module crit/damage. More really they
have a higher chance to get through to them.

lack of mobility and a turret. I wouldn't recommend the JT8.8 for
newer players or players with little experience in non turreted

repaired one track and not both. I had unlocked the M18
Hellcat and was super excited to take it out into battle.
First map I get is mines and I'm in the south base spawning on the
east side. I try to rush the west side island to cover
that flank singing to myself "I'm walking on Sunshine
woooah" As I get to the watery area my tank is slowed down. "It's
ok" I think to myself, as long as I'm not spotted I'm safe. (I
forgot that I didn't have sixth sense). *BAM* A shot across the
front of my TD is able to double track me. I shriek in terror. I
hit repair and only the first track hit is
repaired...."nnnnnnnNNNOOOOOO" I sit there and pray to RNGesus My
answer comes from the enemy VK 4502 followed almost immediately by
a JagdPanther GGWP battle over in about 2 mins.

assuming? How much do you know about your company? Ectar: I've been told by my employers that we don't manipulate MM
to "keep players at a certain level" which is the crux of this
discussion and it's always a topic that comes up from players at
50%ish win ratios who feel they should be at 60 to 70%. I
have not seen first hand how the MM works and even if I did I'm not
a developer or coder so I couldn't tell you what the MM system
looks like. I believe my employers who have no reason to lie
to me. You accuse me of "assuming" yet you provide utterly
zero evidence to counter what is being said. "I can't prove it
exists, therefor it does because you can't prove it doesn't".
That's some pretty crazy way of thinking. That's like me
saying we're all manipulated by dinosaurs from outerspace who live
in our brains. I can't prove it, but then you can't prove it
otherwise so it must be right. - "Ah but Ectar here is proof"
- That's not proof, that's what the dinsosaurs from outerspace
living in our brains want you to think. They're good at
covering their tracks. I can literary ignore/deny/avoid any counter
point you offer about the dinsosaurs from outerspace living in
our brains, because I know it's true. Doesn't matter what anyone
else says, I know better. - Sounds crazy right?
kaneAAA, on 22 July 2015 - 11:03 PM, said: You aren't being honest with us, just presenting a very one sided
argument. Ectar: I'm not being honest? Why? Simply because I'm saying a
conspiracy theory holds no weight? Because I'm not agreeing with a
totally made up reasoning to justify why someone is not as good as
they think they are? Lets look at reasons why someone isn't
as good as something they think they should be. They don't put time
into practice/training/drilling They refuse to admit they perhaps
can't reach the level they are setting themselves Rather than
accept responsibility for their actions, they would rather blame
something made up and impossible to prove. Because it's made up, no
one can offer realistic counter (and if they do, more made up stuff
is created which can't be countered with the same reasoning).

ratio is manipulated? A patent that's been logged? (companies
have hundreds if not thousands of patents logged. That doesn't mean
they're active). An individual player in the low 50's win
ratio claiming he should really be 60% plus but the MM is holding
him back? how many educated people reading this thread are on
the side of "Yes, MM is manipulated and it's manipulated only to
me"?

I've never lied once in that time and I never will. The minute
someone asks me to knowingly lie to players, I'll refuse. If it's
forced on me, I'll leave. You can search through my post history to
see I make sure my answers are on point. I also have a fair amount
of rep from the posts I do (not to mention the amount of posts I
do). I'm pretty sure I have an impact on this community.
As I said before, angry and frustrated players are bad for
business, especially in a free to play game because those players
will just leave. The majority of our players will never spend a
penny on our game, so keeping them playing is vital and you don't
do that by having a system which which holds them at a randomly
made up win ratio. (The random win ratio MM apparently is
rigged to hold you at, will vary with every topic but is generally
always around the win ratio of the opening poster making the
claim). The biggest problem with any "MM is rigged"
conspiracies is that you always assume MM takes into consideration
player skill, which it doesn't. Here is how it works.
Learn it, understand it, and stop blaming your performance on
something made up and imaginary as you'll never ever improve with
that way of thinking.

Ectar: 1. Obviously how? Because you feel you should have a better
rating? If we manipulate MM then how does it explain 40%
players or players at 60% plus for win ratios? 2. No game in the
world wants a bad community. Unhappy players = players not wanting
to play the game. 3. Unhappy players don't spend money. When

a self destructive business model and your game will never make it
