Ectar:   At no point have we ever said it won't be available for Android.  Initial closed beta testing is for iOS as it's one device and much easier to account for.  With Android you have multiple different devices and specs to work with.  Android IS being worked on and IS planned.  Sadly it's just not available for testing right from the start.

Ectar:   The team involved with World of Tanks Blitz is totally separate from World of Tanks PC version.  The team who work on World of Warship isn't even in the same office.

Your community team have consistently demonstrated lack of the most basic communicating skills and domain of the english language, why would I send a message to anyone, risking the retaliation when they cant understand the message? Oh and making your job difficult? Man, if your job was hard, you could not be doing it, so far you have proven so much.

Ectar:   *Edit* 20/03/2014   Warning point appeal/review If you have been warned recently by a Moderator and wish to appeal against the action -  Please follow the instructions as detailed in question 22 of our forum FAQ If you are warned by a Community Manager or Community Coordinator and wish to appeal against the action, - Please send a PM to Mr_Kubrick    If you have picked up warning points before October 2013 and wish to have these removed/reviewed, please contact a senior Moderator or the Lead Moderator Mr_Kubrick who will be able to assist you with this. Please send a PM with the message title "Warning Point Review". Please note that it must be at least 3 months since you picked up your last warning points.  Senior Moderators:
EilaAurora
BigBadVuk
ElTRIC   We cannot guarantee that all of a player's warning points will be removed if they were gained prior to October 2013, each account is reviewed on an individual basis and it depends on the reason for your previous warning points. Sometimes for examples players may be asked to wait a few more months without picking up new warnings.

Customer management training wouldn't go a miss.. But then looking at some of your staff photos you have put up before and the staff that was at Bovington Tank Fest.. most of them are still not mature enough to understand.   Your part of the issue so start at your own door step. Clean house then move on to the forum...!!

Ectar:   You're now crossing the line where you're making personal remarks about staff members which is getting extremely petty. The only community team members who have been at Tankfest have been myself in 2012 along with Supercharge and in 2013 it was Ipaul72.  Age doesn't make any difference to how capable someone is at their job and I'm amazed you can try to make an issue about something like that when you have no idea what age our staff members are.  Personal experience from working in the games industry for over 5 years now has shown me that the people who claim to be older are the ones who act the most childish.  Age doesn't always = wisdom.  Just please stop Dronier, your recent posts are getting too personal and too direct. This thread is to help players understand how to remove warning points.

" Ammunition can’t be changed and has to be purchased as a pack before you can join the battle.". If there will be any "premium" ammo, the mode should not be called historical. Try to find a Soviet 85mm gun with 161mm penetration - at any range: http://www.wwiivehicles.com/ussr/guns.asp

Ectar:   http://forum.worldof...ition-loadouts/   Soviet tanks were rather fond of what would be classed as "premium ammo"  - Again things like ammo etc can still be adjusted or removed. Nothing is final yet until the test server is finished.

View PostEctar, on 26 February 2014 - 05:14 PM, said: Automatic warning point removal Since about October 2013, the majority of warning points added to a forum account for rule violations have a limited time period.     If a player is given 1 warning point, this will be removed automatically after 3 months. If a player is given 2 warning points this will be removed automatically after 6 months. If a player is given 3 warning points, this will not be removed automatically.  3 warning points are for major rule violations and it's very unlikely they would be removed manually by Community Staff. you have to do something pretty bad to get 3 warnings points for a single violation that that's something which will stay with you.   A players individual warning points will only be visible to themselves. (No other players can see your warning points). All active warning points and expired warning points will always be visible to Moderators and Community Team Members. This information can be used when applying sanctions to accounts. (If for example a player has had multiple warnings for the same reason or constantly picks up new warnings when the old one expires for example, the next warning point could be upgraded to a more severe warning).    Warning point review If you have picked up warning points before October 2013 and wish to have these removed/reviewed, please contact any member of the Community Team who will be able to assist you with this. Please send a PM with the message title "Warning Point Review". Please note that it must be at least 3 months since you picked up your last warning points.    We cannot guarantee that all of a player's warning points will be removed if they were gained prior to October 2013, each account is reviewed on an individual basis and it depends on the reason for your previous warning points. Sometimes for examples players may be asked to wait a few more months without picking up new warnings.

Ectar:     Warnings points issues BEFORE September 2013 are not automatically removed. They need to be done manually and will only be done so if you PM a Community Team members.  We are not searching through over 13 million forum accounts to see who has warning points added to their account before that date. I stated already there is no automatic system to do that either which is why it relies on players with warning points contacting us.   I mean really.... Help me out here guys ok?  This is set up to help you, but requires you to do a small little thing first....   LaterTimeLord - Pease read the above statement regarding how to get your warning point removed. By that I mean please PM a Community Team member who can sort you out. Costarring I can see you got a warning point review since your post. Please continue with the good behaviour :) CuP1D your points are from 2011 so would not be auto removed. Please PM a Community Team member who can sort you out.

Ectar:   That is a post on the NA forums referring to a recent issue with an NA streamer and the mod pack the streamer advertised/created.  A list of ok/not ok mods has been discussed for ages.  What I can say is that all regions are talking about it. As for publishing a list of all "approved mods" that's highly unlikely.

Ectar:   It's possible if you downloaded a mod hosted on an external site that was advertised from our forums, that yes, you could be banned if it was against the rules stated above. We do not review every post that is put into the mod section and we do not review all of the links. Usage of mods isn't forbidden but players are pre-warned that using them is at their own discretion/judgement.  https://eu.wargaming.net/support/Knowledgebase/Article/View/404/18/

Why is a list of banned mods not enough? Simply because as long as a mod would not be on the list, anyone could use it. For example if a clan member makes his own unfair mod package and share it with his clan in secret, it would be never banned and they would enjoy unfair advantage forever. The only mods that could end up on the banned list are the public mods that WG finds.   Furthermore, once the list of officially approved mods are released, WG has to make sure that players are not using any mods that are not approved. The game needs some sort of anti-cheat to detect any other mod outside of the approve list, for the reason I have explained above about non-public mods.

Ectar:   Sadly an official list of all "ok mods" and "not ok mods"  isn't possible.  It's been discussed a few times but it's not something we're able to do for various reasons.  One of them is as Merdis points out:

Hundreds of mod get created/updated every day, and it would require enormous human resource to test them all. What is worse, it would probably require some developers, not only support staff

Ectar:     Our stance with mods has always been the same. https://eu.wargaming.net/developers/documentation/rules/rules/ Creation of Derivative Works Wargaming.net allows the Participants to use and modify art, models, music, data on game objects, statistical, non-personal data about players, game interface (hereinafter the “Content”) of World of Tanks, World of Tanks: Blitz, World of Warplanes, World of Warships, World of Tanks: Generals (hereinafter “Wargaming.net Games”) in derivative works of the Participants provided they comply with the following conditions: 5. No modifications shall be created which, according to Wargaming.net, bring undesirable changes to the gameplay of Wargaming.net Games. The list includes, but is not limited to: Transparent textures on game objects penetrated by game armament. Replacement of game models with collision models. Explicit highlighting of game objects that may seem dangerous as non-hazardous (e.g., white textures on destroyed tanks). Any changes to auto-aim (e.g., leading targets, automatic targeting of vulnerable areas). Fixing for the player the position of the other players that are not visible by the rules of the game visibility (locking the position of the player that disappeared from sight on map by tracer flares, display of the name of an enemy player that inflicted a non-critical hit remaining out of sight, etc.). Fixing the destruction of destructible objects on the minimap. Camera which is not attached to the position of a player, a “free” camera, able to move in three dimensions, and the use of artillery mode for other types of vehicles. Using keyboard macros in game situations (e.g., automation of work of “manual fire extinguisher”, except for an automatic shot from a reloaded weapon). Indication of an aiming point of other players which is different from its visual representation based on the position of a standard, unmodified 3D vehicle model operated by the player. Full or partial automation sending a vehicle to battle, its operating and firing (use of bots).   Now if you're unsure about a mod. As yourself this question. Does the mod do something for you that you normally would never be able to tell in-game without someone telling you?  Is it showing your stuff on your minimap which normally you'd never know without the notifications/indications/boarders?  Is it clearly giving you an in-game advantage over the enemy team or enemy player you're facing off against (because you have way more information about the enemy that they do about you with a stock interface).  Are you getting realtime/instant information from the mod which you'd normally never know yourself?

And that was simple. 100,000 people actually checking the article about E-sports, without any hint of a code in it doesn't seem realistic to me. Besides it was a QR code, not many people know or have the means to scan it and get the code.   I really can't prove anything but my experience leads me to believe that it's very unlikely for 100,000 people to have claimed it already.

Ectar:   We checked for how many claims and yes, it's all be used up. News spreads quick and once players know there is free gold available you'll be amazed at how quick things spread across various channels.   Remember the article went out to all of our supported languages & the portal is viewed by hundreds of thousand of players daily.

Ectar:   There wasn't a group discount for various tier 8 tanks until St Patrick's Day 2013.  You can't really use the 1 time the Ferdinand was discounted by 50% 2 years ago then try to claim that 50% off tier 8 tanks was previously a common discount.  Tier VII tanks were sometimes 50% discount but then they started to be 30% discount when missions were added. Again this was across all regions.

That's as much fun as getting stuck on terrain, unless we can straighten the tank out. What happens if you accidentally drive off something and the thing just rolls over? Are you screwed for the rest of the match?

Ectar:   To quote Hudson "Game over man, game over."  If you're upside down, your match is over.  If you accidently drive of something I agree it sucks but then you should be watching where you're driving and you'll learn not to do that again!

But fixing problems is the only way to keep customers happy. Would be nice if anyone from management would think about it.

Ectar:   Please remember that the team working on Physics or HD remodelling of existing tanks are not the team that work on the issues we have been experiencing recently with lag.  We've addressed the lag issue in a few different topics now and mentioning it in this thread won't result in a different answer.

This is actually hard mission even for those who dont have life. And ONLY 350K for that????? seriously WG. No one want to do this. The dmg mission is not either good. Better, easier, still silly, not rly revarding either Kill mission is meh aswell... BUT LAST ONE?`3 DAYS PREMIUM FOR ALL OF THESE MISSION??? OH MY GOD, MUST DO...Nope. Thats rly awful revard, its like giving 50 credits or 10 exp bonus for win. 7 days could be ALOT better, could be revarding for these next to totally impossible missions... Mission idea was nice, when they was nice, simple and rewarding. NOTLIKETHESEWHICHARENEARLYIMPOSSIBLEEVENFORTHOSEWHODONTHAVEALIFE. Please WG. NO ONE, even those who have life, DONT want these missions.   EDIT: Also. I miss those times, awesome discounts and credit incomes, where is all 50% from tier 6-8 tanks? 100% income for tier 4-5? etc. Then, came those missions. At first, they was AWESOME, and specials was better than ever, having both those AWESOME discounts and credit incomes. Now? Discounts mostly on those ''this day in history blablabla'' and as always some kind of pz iv or crusader discounts etc. like we never had those before. Last that like mission, tiger was on 20% (???) discount. Lol. Year ago, it was easily like 50% off.    This special should win award ''Most Lame Special of March''.

Ectar:   tier 8 have never been 50% the most they have been discounted by was 30% and that happened for the first time last year.  Tank discounts are now no longer as high as they were in the past as players also have weekly and monthly missions (Which everyone seems to forget when it's the weekend).  That's across all regions. If you look at NA and RU servers they're not discounting any higher. Better stuff is to come in March and I'm sure there is something for everyone.  Compared to last year players have more credits than ever and more opportunities to get credits.

View PostTank_n_Spank, on 06 March 2014 - 05:57 PM, said: Feedback for team Ectar: Please do not start substituting the traditional weekend special discounts and vehicle/class highlights with missions. Especially these hardcore missions. I'm sorry, but with the 150k xp mission you overshot the sweet spot with about a third I would say. 100k would be a reasonable mission taking into consideration 3x xp on first wins.

Ectar:   The traditional specials will continue. This weekend it's just something different.  With any mission there is always the estimations regarding the objectives and will it be too hard/too easy.  We have to think about all players and their circumstances, which isn't as easy and some people think. We also have limitations regarding what can and can't be included.

Ectar:   The tank driving into a Blizzard looked amazing.    Imagine if the random matching making had the "fog of war" that is in Clan Wars. - What this means is you don't know what tanks the enemy team has until someone from your team spots them in-game. Now imagine driving into a town map with a blizzard, your visibility is low and you don't know what you're up against. You spot an enemy medium moving to position, then a heavy suddenly you realise there is an enemy TD lying in wait! You target the TD and signal to your team for fire support as you back up and the shells start flying. Who knows what else lurks in the snow storm....

Ectar: Hi guys.  Just to let you all know that the date for this event is still to be set in stone. It's likely it may be 1-3 weeks later.  We want to give everyone at least 4 weeks notice once everything is confirmed.  For now all I can say is that we definitely plan to visit Belgrade either in late March or early April.

Same thing, no need to get it earlier, but to get the actual mission data from the popups would be useful.   Maybe you need to implement some form of ticker to the main page, with info on current specials and missions.

Ectar:   That's understanding and what's important for one player isn't important for the next.  It's possible we could have a forum post that we update week to week.  I'm more than happy to trial that in the English section.
