reflect on the spending habits of our players as that is something
which we can easily pull directly from our systems.

Subject: The "rate of fire" on the support tickets?
Link on message: #9280614
Link on message: #9280614
Ectar: It depends purely on the amount of tickets we have at any given
time and the type of tickets. Normally it's within 24-72
hours tops. CS agents go through hundreds of tickets a day and the
amount of staff to player ratio isn't even near 10% so these guys
have to work quick and are always busy.

impossible for the system to know why you're AFK, it only knows
that you are AFK and that you need to be notified going AFK isn't
ok to do, so it gives you that message after the battle.

Thanks everyone for the replies. TLDR - Anytime you
purchase anything, If it doesn't work your first point of
contact should always be where you bought it from. If you bought it
from a friend then your friend needs to contact where they
bought it from. Wargaming will not exchange region locked
codes for player. - Ectar

from the great players and is also one of the main reasons why most
players can't improve their skills. It's vital to know where
you team mates are, where enemy tanks are/were last spotted and how
the battle is going. In most situations where I die, I could have
likely survived the battle or at least survived a little longer if
I had just been more aware of what was going on around me.
Everyone should be dependant on the mini-map as the information it
provides is invaluable.

Or do you guys think it's acceptable to just reveal the position to
the enemy?Ectar: People can still destroy their tanks if they choose.
If you're really the last tank alive and want to end the
battle as you feel you can't do anything, simply drive towards the
enemy tanks and let them shoot you. Previous the "suicide"
exploit was players (mainly arty) choosing to drown their tanks at
the end of a battle to deny the enemy team a kill/exp and safe in
the knowledge they wouldn't get a repair/crew death penalty.
The bottom line is you can either actively play the game and try to
win, or mess about with no intention to win. The 2nd option
is simply messing things up for anyone left in the battle and if
you're that type of player then it's time for you to chose another
game or start to actively play and not camp in a bush in the far
corner of a map all game. We're not going to support people
joining battles just to sit about and do nothing.
_Antipathy, on 19 October 2014 - 03:08 PM, said: How? Nobody will report you for that.Ectar: Revealing an allied position is against our game rules and
players get reported for this and get punished for this all the
time. Regardless of another player's behaviour it's not
for his team mates to act as judge and jury. If a player is
breaking our rules then you report it and we deal with it.

please send me a picture of the code via PM and I'll get it checked

between a small group of players (as someone always asks us at an
event if we A, have Type 59 codes, and B, if it will ever come back
to the shop). We were trying to mingle with the crowd as much as
possible and I had at least 2 or 3 mini Q&A sessions beside the
reception area as I was waiting to check in the first 150 sign
ups. Sadly with the really cold weather it was hard to be
visible with our staff t-shirts wrapped up in hoodies and
jackets
. I was personally caught out by
the cold weather and truth be told my hands are still a little
numb/sore from the event (and the BMP-1 ride at the end).

Krellshand, on 08 October 2014 - 04:17 PM, said: You mean like the KV220, right? Oh yes, there was sth.......Ectar: The KV 220 was never available previously to EU
players, hence why it's available to purchase on the EU
server. The pre-order tanks (A-32, Pz V/VI or
M6A2E1) were never available previously to RU players,
hence why they are available to purchase on the RU server. This was
done because we didn't want a situation where 1 region had
exclusivity over another region regarding certain vehicles. -
Whist the BTSV package was only sold in RU, players from EU could
still purchase it and use the code on an EU account (code for these
packages were not region locked). It's possible the BTSV may
be used again in a future retail package but it's unlikely to ever
come to the in-game store/premium store. In that respect the Pz IV
Hydro is unlikely to ever come to the in-game store/premium store
as it's a retail tank) *retail tank means it's intended to be
included in cross promotion with another item/product to make
the package more desirable* - think of it like a games console only
be available in a certain colour if you buy it with a specific

roaming is seriously wrong. Roaming allows you to play on another
server just like switching from EU1 to EU2. There has never
been any plans to allow players to advantage of another region's
weekend specials or premium shop offers. It's actually been stated
by our Devs directly when this question has cropped up. All you do
is switch gaming servers. You don't transfer your account into the
other region's database and then have access to that region's
services like you're a normal RU player. Now lets

KV-5 The difference between what's available now across all regions is actually pretty slim. As to what was available in the past and for limited times that's different and for different reasons explained already. Some tanks are reserved for retail packages in order to specifically make the retail package more attractive (Pz IV Hydro for example). The BTSV and Pz IIJ have never been available in any in-game store/premium store in any region. (Not counting the China region here which WG doesn't admin). Multiple Pz IIJ codes were given to players in EU for attending events like Gamescom 2012 or Dreamhack 2013. They're not intended to be for everyone as it's a special gift for attending the event and the codes were specifically created in limited numbers. If you wanted to buy the BTSV at the time it was available in that package there was forum post and fan websites posts everywhere detailing how to get it and multiple EU players too advantage of that offer. Some vehicles will always be reserved for specific events or time periods. Expecting that you can just throw down some money to take advantage of an offer that's expired is a very unrealistic expectation. It's intentional that not everything can simply be bought as it trivializes the uniqueness of being at that event/winning that contest/meeting that specific in-game requirement. Saying things like "Well you obviously don't want my money" is a crazy attitude to have as it's not about the money (otherwise the tanks would have been available for a while and not just to suit XX player who can't put the time in to play clan wars or wasn't playing the game when previous offers were active). They're rare, they're limited, there is no plans to change that because to make them freely available takes away everything that makes them/made then desirable in the first place.

tank = minimum 5.000 battles played and at least 1 tier 8 regular
tank researched, bought and played with it at least 50 battles. 2.
For a tier 9 premium tank = minimum 7.500 battles played and at
least 1 tier 9 regular tank researched, bought and played with it
at least 75 battles. 3. For a tier 10 premium tank = minimum 10.000
battles played and at least 1 tier 10 regular tank researched,
bought and played with it at least 100 battles. As for those
that arlready got them as a prize, in order to diferentiate them
from those who buy them, they should have some unique skins/cammo
and or marks on their tanks, to signify they are special. Ectar: I think you misunderstand the reason for the Clan Wars
rewards. - They're a contest prize, which means you need to
participate in the contest to have a chance to win it. They
were never intended to be commonly and easily available for
everyone or to be purchased in our premium store. If you want
a gold medal and to be known as the fastest 100 meter
sprinter, you need to run the race and win it. If you
want a clan wars reward tank and the reknown of being in a top
clan, you need to participate in Clan Wars and win it. - The
outcomes are exclusive and you can't just have part of a prize
without taking part in the content for it. It's an
achievement, a goal, and something other people don't have because
they didn't win. It's a reason to get more people to participate in
Clan Wars. Every player has the opportunity to participate
in Clan Wars and compete to win the tanks. If you can't join
a clan then make a clan and recruit other like-minded players. "I
can't be bothered", "I don't want to" and "I don't have time"
- are never going to be acceptable excuses because the entire point
of these rewards comes from putting the time and effort in.
not everything in-game can be achievable by every player. You
have to remember when you lower the requirements you don't just do
it for a small select group who play 1-2 hours a week, you reduce
the requirements for everyone. Regarding the Alpha/Beta
reward tanks - They're a reward to players for participating
in the Alpha/Beta. If you didn't participate during that phase then
that content is unavailable for you. It's not something that's up
for discussion or review. Unfortunate perhaps yes, but then
it's a special thank you to those players for taking the time back
them to support and test the game. - Pre order tanks fall
exactly into that same category, there is no plans to make them
commonly available again. The only region where this differs
is the RU region as it had to pre-order phase. It was something
introduced for when the NA and EU servers launched. This means that
no one at all on the RU server could have owned those tanks which
is why they're available to those players now. If you want to
be treated like an RU player and have access to those tanks then
you're free to have an account on the RU servers where you can take
advantage of those things. Vice/Versa if an RU player started
playing on the EU servers he's not going to be able to get a
pre-order tank on his EU account regardless of what his RU account
has on it. In short, accounts are not transferable and neither are
regional benefits (and also drawbacks). Lower tier tanks
given as rewards for seasonal or anniversary events occasionally
come up in gift shop packages. Tanks like the KV-5 are also
sometimes available. (Type 59 is never coming back to the premium
shop and players really should stop asking about it now as the
answer isn't going to change). As a final point - For
comments about potential future content I'd recommend holding
back and waiting till we officially announce things first.
Complaining that something is out of reach already when we
haven't stated what the requirements are, makes it look like
complaints for the sake of complaining. The problem with
leaks is that people don't know the full story or when/how things
will be implemented (if ever), so please take releases of
information like that with a pinch of salt. When there is no
verified/confirmed source it's pretty easy to make assumptions with
little evidence. We always will share information with players
when things are ready to be shared and things are confirmed.

back. It was a one time only restoration for a single tank, as it
is now. The only difference now is it only applies to tanks deleted
less than 2 months. If you were to ask for your T-127 to be
restored they wouldn't then later restore the Tetrach. You've used
your 1 time only restoration. It's not 1 time only per tank. It's
one time only per account and always has been for EU players since
the restoration policy was introduced in May 2013. Quoting
the policy on the NA website that is relevant for NA players
doesn't change things here. It's like saying because you can
buy a Gold Type 59 in China that you should be able to buy one
here. NA policies are not applicable on the EU servers and
vice versa. Policies for each region have always been
available on our knowledge base portal for
each applicable region. We're not going to e-mail players
everytime we have a policy change as that would quickly upset a lot
of players when you consider how many articles we have on the
knowledge base.

Ectar: Getting into hypothetical discussions is utterly pointless
as you can talk about anything and it's still not relevant to the
subject at hand as it's all "what if" scenarios. That can easily be
twisted to suit your point. Getting hacked is a totally
difference scenario to raging at bad result, deleting a tank,
or deciding at that current time you wanted to free up a
garage slot or get credits by selling the tank. You're asking what
we lose, the answer is the responsibility of the account holder
which is already something players are all to quick to pass
on "Hard to guess password and anti virus? Lol who cares
when they'll just give me everything back each time.". At some
point that has to stop right? You can't just keep restoring deleted
tanks endlessly right? At some point you have to say "sorry this is
too much".

can. It's not intended to be a "do whatever you want in-game and
we'll fix it for you". - We never state that anywhere and players
should not be under any illusion that we can correct all their
mistakes. Any company could do better in the player's eyes with
regards to restoration policies because ultimate satisfaction can
only be gained with a player getting back everything they
delete regardless of timescales and never having to care about
what they delete because it's always recoverable. That's is a
utterly rediculous expectation to have as it means players have
zero respect for what they do and have zero responsibility or
accountability for their actions which have zero
consequences. The attitude of "but you can do it right
it's just a 1 button click?" is a wrong attitude to have also
because we can also double your gold, give you any tank, or totally
wipe your account. Just because we have access to the game
from an admin level doesn't mean that it should remove you from all
responsibility. In any customer service job there is limits
to what can and can't be done and policy and procedures that must
be followed. Sure there can be exceptions but they come with
exceptional circumstances. "I never knew about this" or
"I didn't know till now" is not an exceptional circumstance.
Anyone can perhaps quote an example of someone going above
and beyond (I myself have driven 40 mile to hand deliver paperwork
for someone, get it signed and returned to office to avoid a 2 week
turnaround), but you can't then seriously expect that service to be
applied to every situation. I mean it's not like for every other
policy holder I spoke to I'd then hand deliver their paperwork
too. Again expecting to be treated special with exceptional
service and also demanding to be treated like everyone else doesn't
work together unless everyone is treated with the exceptional
special treatment (Which is a totally unrealistic
expectation). I agree whole heartily it's an unfortunate
situation and I sympathise with the LekaChristian, however
it's not a scenario where we can give a different outcome no matter
how many ways we look at it.

responsible for it like this.Ectar: And you can't really turn around and then hold us
responsible for it also. As I also stated not everything can
be reversed and the security of the account in the first place is
your responsibility. A World of Tanks account has almost
zero value to a hacker compared to something like a World of
Warcraft account for example. Tanks can't be transferred to other
accounts, accounts don't hold real life money on them, gold can't
be transferred between accounts, accounts can't be used to grind
for in-game items to sell on, there is no realms to move in-game
items between... If a World of Tanks account is "hacked"
and tanks sold, that's usually done by someone out of spite and
it's usually done because the account access was known to the
hacker via the account holder trusting them in the past with log in
details as they shared access to the account (again, this
comes back to the account holder's responsibility regarding
access to their account - see where it always ends up?).
There is multiple comparisons you can make here, but applying the
logic to different real life situations can always be twisted to
suit your argument. The only thing you can really compare our
policy to is other game companies and their policies regarding
restorations and refunds, which if you check are pretty
similar. We can go round and round in circles about this topic
but the answer/result is always the same. Buying/selling items on
your account is your responsibility as the account holder. If
you're going to claim the loss is due to your account being hacked
then that's a different matter which will require investigation by
our support team. Your account security is your
responsibility. Setting up a unique password and not the same as
your e-mail address etc is your responsibility. Making your your PC
is secured against viruses is your responsibility- Trust me after
dealing with hacked account issues for over 5 years I've heard
every excuse under the sun. Now if the account hack is due
to a security flaw at our side that's a totally different
discussion with different likely outcomes however that's getting
into hypothetical "what if's" and it still won't change how things
are now.

entitled to have your say. I have no problems with players sharing
their views so long as they respect our forums rules and don't take
things personally. We could tell players a month in
advance and we'd still have players who are a month and 2 days over
that would say it's not fair and they should be given special
treatment. Any time limit given is always going to be unsuitable
for XXX player who is outside the given deadline - As I stated
in my announce post from checking all our past restoration this
policy change (had the 2 month time limit been in effect from
the start) it would have affected a small minority of players. Most
players contact us within days if not hours/minutes when they
delete a premium tank in error. It's a very very rare
situation that someone asks for a tank deleted many months
ago.

granting an exception that means you're getting something that
other players don't get. The very definition of the word is "a case
that does not confirm to a rule or generalization". - Special
treatment effectively. For us it's important that players are
treated fairly and every player knows what to expect. This is so
that every player can expect the same level of service based
on our current rules. If we grant everyone an exception that
that's not really an exception, it's a standard service. - As
things currently stand everyone has the same standard service,
every player is able to get a single premium vehicle reimbursed,
but only if the vehicle is sold within 2 months. With
certain actions in-game that players do there is consequences.
Whilst it is unfortunate that you sold your tank, you have to
respect/understand that only you made that choice and you are
ultimately responsible for your actions. We put warning
messages and confirmation boxes into the process specifically to
help players be aware of what they're doing and to help players
avoid making decisions like this (If the reason was that
someone else deleted the vehicle, again you're the only person who
is ultimately responsible for who has access to your
account). Bending rules to satisfy one player whilst telling
hundreds of players something else is not good customer service.
Whilst you may get a satisfactory outcome everyone else doesn't get
the same outcome. When you then explain what happened to you, other
players would only be satisfied with the same outcome this then
means that the "exception" then becomes a regular expected
service. I appreciate that this answer may not be to
your liking but the line has to be drawn at some point. If we
extend the policy to include when you deleted your tank, then next
week we'd have a topic from another player who's tank was deleted
just slightly later, or deleted a tank for a 2nd time etc etc.. At
the end of the day you're responsible for your own actions in any
game you play and not all those actions are reversible.

Subject: Premium tank restoration & reimbursement policy *updated 02/10/2014*
Link on message: #9139340
Link on message: #9139340
Ectar: Greetings players, On the 5th of May 2013 we announced to
players our policy regarding a one time only restoration for
Premium vehicles. Since that time we have been monitoring the
requests for restorations and timescales involved regarding when
vehicles were sold in error/rage/by a rogue family
member/friend/pet walking on the keyboard. As a result of
this please note a very important change to this policy below:
! A restoration is only possible if the sale of the tank in
question happened within the last two months.
How to request a premium vehicle restoration: Contact our
support team here - https://support.worldoftanks.eu/ In your
ticket state the name of the tank you wish to have restored and
rough estimate of when the tank was sold. Make sure you have a free
garage slot and the amount of credits you gained for selling the
tank available on your account which will be removed. (For example
when you sold your Type 59, you got 1,500,000 credits. These
credits will be removed from your account when the tank is
restored.) Please note this service is only available for premium
tanks, NOT tanks purchased in-game normally with credits.
How to request a refund of a
premium tank purchased in error: Contact our support team here
- https://support.worldoftanks.eu/ In your
ticket state the name of the tank you wish to have refunded and
when you purchased it. *Important* If you have played on the tank
and decided you don't like it, this does not qualify for a refund.
This is not a try before you buy service.
This service is only really for players who contact us immediately after they make the mistake. Not weeks/months later (unless the tank has never been played). Please note this service is only available for premium tanks, NOT tanks purchased in-game normally with credits. Whilst we appreciate that some players may feel that the timescale changes to the policy may seem unfair, checking through the history of restoration requests show that a very very small percentage of players would be affected by this. The security of your account and the decision to delete a vehicle is ultimately your responsibility as the account holder. To sell a tank, plane or any other vehicle in our games, there is multiple confirmation checks. We understand how inconvenient these situations can be and are always working to provide you with the best service possible. ! It is important to note that this is a one-time only restoration for Premium tanks or planes. This means if you have sold a premium vehicle by mistake, it can be restored only once. If you have sold multiple premium vehicles, both in WoT and WoWp only one of these can be restored. This does not apply for WoT: Blitz nor WoT: Xbox 360 Edition, as these two games have their own one-time “limits”.

Ectar: Bumping this. Thanks for the replies so far. I
didn't want to mention it at first because I was looking for clans
with a genuine interest in helping develop Stronghold. For any
clans that help us out in this testing phase for Strongholds there
is a reward of 20,000 gold for the clan treasury.

won't be merchandise for sale that we can bring. The first
150 players who signed up will get limited edition t-shirts and we
will have some small goodies for everyone else that attends. We
hope to contact all 150 of the first sign ups via e-mail by the end
of today.

Ectar: Last time I was given 2 shots. One was salmiakki which tasted as
expected. (I've actually tasted that a few times) The other
was really nice and had a sweet taste and I wanted a bottle of
it! :P If anyone was at the bar last year and know what I was
given please let me know so I can pick some up.

Ectar: We have a lot more video guides from these editors and other
players available here- http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/432236-update-93-video-megathread/ - Sadly
we only could only feature some in the spotlight as we didn't want
an article filled with around 24 videos.

pressing Escape, you get a desertion warning! Since I was afraid I
might actually get one, I had to FF on to the end of the replay and
exit normally. I am guessing this is not supposed to happen.

JockEctar: when you watch a reply you're not connected to the game
servers, so quitting the reply doesn't count. The warning
message is a problem related to the new feature which will be fixed
as soon as we can. Again the replay warning has no impact on
your game account.

are replied to, everyone is like "why don't you reply to my
topic?/why doesn't my idea warrant a suggestion". Sadly we simply
don't have time to give feedback for every game play idea.

Ectar: Greetings players and welcome to the sign up thread for our visit
to the Parola Tank Museum on the 18th of October. Please note
if you sign up for this, you are aware you are required to make
your own travel arrangements to get to the museum. The first
150 players to sign up will have their admission price covered by
Wargaming.net. *important* - Your post only counts for you.
We are not accepting any messages that say things like "me and my 2
friends". If your friend wants to come then your friend needs to
sign up. Whilst we appreciate this may seem frustrating to
issue tickets on a first come, first served basis, it's no
different to if we did it randomly (as group posts still
wouldn't be accepted). The only exception to this for a
parent registering their intention to come and including their
children under the age of 16. At the event
players will have the ability to ask questions to the Wargaming
team via a short Q&A, If you wish to submit a
question in advance for one of our games (World of Tanks (PC
or Xbox), World of Warplanes, or even World of Warships, please add
the question to your submission and we will endeavour to get
the answers for you in advance of the event.
For each person who wishes to attend, we need: Full name. Email address. Country of residence. Age. Question for developers (Optional, see above.)
Why do we need these details?
We need your name and email to confirm your registration. We need your country of residence as we will unfortunately need to give preference to residents of Finland: this is essentially so we be more certain you are going to be likely to attend (i.e. if you lived in Hawaii, we might doubt you'd come all the way to Finland!)
All replies are pre-moderated which means only Wargaming staff can see the replies. This is so we have a contact list for all players who are attending. Once the event is over this thread and your information will be removed from the forums (so we're not keeping your data for any longer than is required). If you are one of the first 150 players who signed up and are having your admission covered by Wargaming, we'll email you with confirmation. Please note you'll be required to print out the confirmation as proof!
We hope to see as many of you as possible!
