Overlord:
0.6.1 supertest version has been in testing for a few days. Yesterday it was updated to 0.6.1.1.
It's difficult to say, when it's ready, but unlikely that it takes us less than 2 weeks.
0.6.1 - main changes:
- 2 new maps added: Monastery and Dried river.
- light US tank Т2 added.
- Crash to garage with 0 credits 0 exp fixed.
- "Vehicle stuck in battle" bug fixed.
- Crew interface fixed: personal file, barracks.
- Fixed error, when unable to change graphic settings.
- Non-demountable modules in the module list marked with "lock" icon.
- Battle hero achievements adjusted in accordance with their descriptions.
- Fixed medals/achievements counter bug.
- Platoon creation and invite sending fixed, including training battle mode.
- Water readjusted for all maps.
- Login queue added. Enabled when servers are overloaded.
- Randomization in penetration and damaging decreased.
- In-game sound messages readjusted.
- Explosion of HE shell adjusted.
- Track "jerking" effect when moving fixed.
- Fixed bug, when shots at destroyed vehicles counted as hits.
- For SPG: moving mouse when RMB is pressed allows to separate camera from reticle.
- Heaps of minor UI fixes and adjustments.
Note: some of the above may not be included into 0.6.x / 0.7 update that will be released here

Indeed, there was a press meeting yesterday.
If some people from our team really claimed that US tanks would arrive the following week, they were overoptimistic, I'd say.

least one out of every five times. Now? If you see it once in a
four hour period youre lucky. Ah yes, I and my IS4 are heartbroken
over it. I realize that the Devs are doing map work but I still
miss prowling those streets and now I actually have a tank that can
be a whole lot of fun in there. I cannot waith until the new maps
come out but again I will still miss Himmelsdorf.....Anyway, What

I haven't been able to save up enough to buy items like camo nets or whatever, or to upgrade my crew because upgrading the crew seems like a waste to me at this level. Once I learn a new tank I'm going to be ditching that old crew anyway and what's the use of keeping them around if I have to retrain them for a new tank anyway? My T28 crew is around 60% now, but I really don't plan on keeping this tank. The moment I have enough XP for the next one it's getting scrapped and maybe I can recycle the parts into something that's actually useful, like coasters for the coffee table or something.
I did the whole rush forward thing at first, but now I do play a lot more carefully. I usually try to hang back and protect the SPGs and that sort of thing. What I think bothers me the most is the 1 shot kills from people that I never even knew where there, it's like it's just no contest sometimes like I never even had a chance to do anything. It's not the other guy's fault though, I love it when I can get an easy kill too
I guess I just wish the match making
was more balanced.

ARGO: Listen, you do not have to worry about premium just yet. I myself
made it all the way up to a IS3 without premium so it can be done.
Now with a super heavy I need premium at least one day a week to
assist making creds for my IS4 needs. I too chose the Russian tree
for my heavy and the German tree for my medium. My medium feeds my
heavy, I elited my medium and convert to free EXP to help me
upgrade my other tank. You can too. Just focus on a route and take
it, plan out what your going to do. Hell, you don't even have to
buy a tank, you can reasearch your way straight to the one you
want. This game isn't really about the gold or Creds, it's the Free
EXP that gets you places.

Sinistar, on 11 October 2010 - 07:28 PM, said: Hey folks
I've been playing for about a week now. I read some of the sticky posts but I'm looking for some advice.
I decided to stick with russian tanks and have upgraded a few. I have the level 3 SU-26, and level 4 T-28 and SU-85B. I play one, it gets blown up, then I exit and play another.
I'm getting a bit frustrated now though, because it seems like I'm just terribly easy to kill. To the point where it's just not fun at all. For instance, I really want to get through my T-28 and get the heavy tank after it, I need 12k xp still and I average like 50-100 xp a game. My tank is usually in pieces within a minute or 2, and I think the tank has gotten about 3 kills so far. All of them were stolen from other guys on my team that already did all the work and I got the cheapy last hit. I have all the upgrades on it except the most powerful gun, but I don't expect that will make a difference. If I travel with a group, there's usually a heavy tank or 2 with me, and I'm taken out first. If I hang back and play "protect arty", I'm blown to bitz by someone I never even saw on my map. If I go after the light tanks, they drive circles around me and blow me to bits, even if I lock onto them.
I feel like in most cases I'm getting grouped up against really higher level tanks that can blow me away in 1 shot, like maybe the game match up system isn't very balanced? The most fun games I have been playing are when I use my newbie starter tank. It just seems like a chore to play anything else, and a game shouldn't be a chore. Do I just suck that bad? I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I try to be careful and pick my targets and all that stuff, it's just frustrating when you can't even stay in a game more than 2 minutes and all it takes is 1 hit to knock you out 9 times outta 10.

ARGO: Good things take time and practice my friend. There is no way to
rush things here and anyone who says different is a liar. If you
need help learning, I and most players will gladly help you. The
first thing you need to learn is to never second guess yourself and
don't over analyze every move, Just do your best and learn from
watching others what works and what doesn't. We all make
mistakes....noobish ones at times but that's the human factor. It
is always good to ask questions, Remember the only dumb qustion is
the one you didn't ask.

will put a shorter term for Accidental Team Kill" ATKs . My buddy
was saying to me as we waited in ambush about how seems to be
increasing and not one match later, He too commited one. I am
worried because it seems with the lag in some servers you can have
a nice big juicy target ready to be popped and just as you hit the
trigger, Blam!!! you killed a friendly who was not there before. I
make sure I apologize each and everytime it happens but Damn, Its
seems to be happening too much lately. I try extremly hard to aim
well and I usually have no problems but I have to say somethings
not right with the current system because I am definately not the
only one with this issue. Last night it seemed that the arty were
having all kinds of issues as well as the tanks and we all knew
they were definatly not doing it on purpose. I mean if your an
arty, TD, or a tank sniper your gonna have a lot of ATKs the way
it's going on now. I am writing this so players who are trying to
do the right thing are not going to be labeled as a TKer or
Griefer.

This game will get farmers.
Example how it goes:
Those Chinese people will sit 12 hours a day, grinding 2 obtain new tanks etc.
Then they sell the account to a player that for example wants to start off straight with a Tier9 tank
So the chinese people will just create 1 account. Go grind on it to a certain Tier. Then sell the account.

They will be playing on separate servers, and it is unlikely that they will participate in global clan wars.
CN cluster is going to be an independent one.

Archives\Beta\Questions\How does HE damage actually work?
Link on message: #170592

Link on message: #170592
MrVic: First off as things change the mechanics patches ect. Once the Devs
decide to release some of the information they will post up the
information in the Mechanics section.
Until then I can shed some light.
AP rounds if they Penetrate depending where and how they hit can do full or lower amounts of damage also modules they hit probably modify the pure HP damage they take.
As for the bounces and Ricochets ect. Some of those hits primarily ricochets usually carry some damage to the tank do the force of the impact sometimes. Also I think
there might be some dialog miss communications currently in those messages.
As for HE rounds the armor pen matters, HE can carry some damage through most armor ratings, tho sometimes its nearly none but says it penned. The closer the HE rounds AP value is to the armor you are facing the more damage that can go through. As for the numbers on how much vs what armor values, that is something that at this time is not given out. Tho with some play testing you experiemtn and find what size HE rounds works vs what tanks. As for doing module damages its not nearly as effective at it as many think
hope that helps for the time being

MrVic: To sum this up. This game is very very difficult to influence with
"hacks". There are a few sites promoting they have them for this
game, be warned their mostly doctored videos or claims to get
people to click on their "hacks" ect. This is present with all
games. What you do get for trying to acquire these so called
"hacks" is malware, virus programs and trojans, Mostly aimed at
stealing account info about yourself and other games you play. This
is a trend that is around for all games. In the end all they are
doing is trying to suck in people they can gain access to their
systems to steal their information/identity.

that. You might check with your ISP and routing to the server. The

the issue with your ping. Sadly your ping is high due to a problem
odds are with your ISP. US players on the NA server fall between

Connection rate: 1024 Kbps or higher (for faster downloads)
does that mean i can max the game out with a 9800? no.
I'm running this:
CPU: QX9650
RAM: 4giggs ddr2 800mhz
GFX: GTX275 896mb
HDD: 1tb WD 7200rpm.
My OS: Win7 ultimate x64, it's a clean install and i run no other background programs. cpu load 2% when not gaming.
So my point was. If i look straight down i get 110FPS, i look straight forward i get ~25fps if not even less, I'm running the game at max settings 1680x1050res with 8x AA.
Is anyone else also having a problem like this?
MrVic: One thing to keep in mind the game engine is being optimized still,
also more graphics options are being added and map/models are being
optimized still also

was just wondering if there is a way to hide the complete user interface so you can take a perfect screenshot.
i know you can hide the team lists and names, but i mean can you hide the mini map, ammo icons and your own tank details?
its hard to get a nice screenshot without the clutter.
thanks for your time.
(sorry if this question has been answered before, i can't seem to find anything)

Right now no soft wipes planned. A full wipe will happen prior to release so test away just focus on a new path is your best bet. Beta is always a good time to test all the different types of tanks you can to get a feel for things

the KV-IV Behemoth.
did this tank even exist during the second world war?
QuoteOperational History
The first prototype was completed in December 1941 and was rushed into the defense of Moscow. In its first action during a dense winter fog, the rear turret accidentally fired into the center turret. The resulting explosion completely destroyed the vehicle. The second prototype was completed in January 1942, and was sent to the Leningrad front. This one had indicators installed to show whe another turret was in the line of fire. In its initial attack on the Germans, the tank broke in half when crossing a ravine. A spark ignited the leaking flamethrower fuel and the resulting explosion completely destroyed the vehicle. The third prototype, shown here, had a reinforced hull and was also sent to the Leningrad front in early 1942. It did manage to shoot down three German aircraft. In its first ground engagement, the KV-VI was firing on German positions when coincidentally all of the guns fired from the 3 O'Clock position a the same time. The tremendous recoil tipped the tank into a ditch and the severe jostling set off the 152mm ammunition, which completely destroyed the vehicle. After these failures, Stalin cancelled the project, and many of the design team members spent the rest of their lives in the Gulags of Sibera. The KV-VI was nicknamed "Stalin's Orchestra" by the few Germans that encountered it because of the variety of weapons it deployed.

thats at least the onyl source of it, anyone else heard of this tank?
i just hope the devs dosnt get the idea of implementing this into the game!

experience and 6,100,000 credits and I have to admit to being
extremely disappointed. The tank itself is great, but trying to
join a game in a tier-10 is a nightmare. The wait times are never
less than 2 minutes (and often much longer) and when you do get a
game it is loaded with Mauses and other IS-7s... At least in my
IS-4 I got to fight a mix of opponents and seldom had to wait more
than 20 seconds for a game.

Link on message: #166860

ARGO: This is a prime example of "Be careful what you wish for syndrome"
everyone wanted Tiered battles because of Leichtracktors and MS1s
joining in standard matches....remember that? Now this poor guy
"StanSuarez" worked his fanny off to get an IS7 and he can't even
enjoy it's power because he's put into nothing but tier 10 matches.
And you wanna know the humorous part to this story? Leichtracktors
and MS1s are still getting into the game!......
Bring back Standard and Recruit
battles!!
Anyway, Has anyone ever seen an IS3 take out a IS7 or a Maus one on one?

They are good but have quite too much damage and on some vehicles
the chance of fire is too high. I see tigers making a barbeque in
every game
7. In their current state
SPGs are game breakers. Too accurate, too powerful and too easy to
kill something. Somewhere i saw the idea of arty doing 3 shots in
the area they are aiming at. I would like that better than one
sniper shot as it is atm. Of course with arty shell power and cost
at 1/3 of the current ones and load capacity 3 times higher.8. My
opinion is that you're getting too fast to tier III and too slow
after tier V. I enjoyed the loltraktor but was too short lived.

in love with the sound and visual and i feel happy everytime i
shoot a big gun in this game.about the speed thing and difference
on terrain. Yes there really is a difference mate. use a pz3 to
test it. drive offroad, onroad and in a bogg.ofroad, takes ages to
get to +/-58 km/honroad, about 4 sec and you got topspeed of abour
65 km/hbog, get your peddles out cause damn your not moving :Pbut i
have to agree nice revieuw up till now with some valid points.

merig00: 1. Yes
4. If you look at the patch notes for the next update - the fire rate is changed to I think 5HP(or percentage? i forgot, check that topic) per second.
7. Again, not touching it. The SPG uhm discussion been going on since the beginning of the game. Personally I like SPG as it is right now.
8. First several tiers are introductory. They are meant to be gone through quickly and then returned to if desired so. There is no need to sell loltraktor or any other tank once you get enough experience. I still drive it when in the mood for lol-battles. The "collect 'em all" is part of the game appeal for me

merig00: Yeah and the sound of shell ejection is actually an aluminum mug
being hit against metal. Some sounds in game were taken from the
licensed libraries, a lot of engine sounds are recordings of the
actual engines. Sound engineers visited a tank musem, hmm I think
"Stalin's Line" in Belarus and recorded the sounds. Of course they
couldn't shoot tanks so some of the "bangs" are recordings of them
throwing stones at old construction cranes at the scrape metal
dump.
