lord_farquad: I have modified both the tournament page and this thread to explain
some of the recent changes we have made. The following changes were
made based on your feedback:
1. Teams are now allowed up to 20 members per team.
2. Listed prizes are for 15 member teams. For teams that go beyond 15 members, prizes will be divided among the team accordingly (a larger team will be given the same prize, but less gold per player).
3. Registration has been extended to Friday the 23rd.

GeneralDirection: Yep, we will be bumping the roster limit. I just need to talk with
lord_farquad about it so he's aware and can update the rules
accordingly. We'll put a cap of 20 members and distribute the
end-of-season prize as suggested earlier in the thread, divided by
number of members on the teams that place. So, if you do this with
15 players you'll get the prize as listed. If you do it with any
more than that you'll receive a smaller prize per member. I think
that's a pretty good compromise.
Regarding prep time, we're going to extend registration by two days due to the increase in roster size. We'll announce the map rotation for the regular season today so you can begin preparing.

good is it when it gets dismissed/ignored by SerB?Vallter: Nothing gets ignored or dismissed by SerB. But not every players
suggestion, even ones which seem to be good, are good passing them
though the full information.
SpectreHD, on Mar 19 2012 - 13:27, said: The_Chieftain says that the T110 would get its proper hull but then
when questioned about it in the EU Q&A, Overlord dismisses it.Vallter: A 'proper' hull is required by players because they think that it
will give some benefits to game experience of the tank. Internal
tests showed us that it will result as a nerf for T110 because of
the shape. But we can still do it, if you wish so -)

can do this.

Vallter: Have completed reading this ... .
Since the thread turned into not a very constructive one, instead of passing the thread itself to the Developers, I've compiled your suggestions and opinions, translated and sent a long e-mail to our Producers. I want to thank all people who have shared their opinion despite whether it was negative and positive.
Also, basing on what I've read, I made some decisions and conclusions. Also I would like to address some players concerns within the thread (they are general and have few things to do with T110):
1)Okay, I've read many comments about WG making money and whether Devs read such threads or not. You all agreed that Wargaming is a company, which wants to earn some money. Then you probably know that company has employees, like me for example. In contrary to volunteer helpers, we receive real money for what we do. Normally, people receive money for the time they've spent on work. So why should company, which wants to earn money, ask their employees to
read the threads, compile and discuss feedback from players and even waste their time on creation of such threads, if Developers where not interested in it? Quite illogical, IMO. We have many things to do aside of operating Test forums.
2)Decisions are never made basing on the whining of some/many players. Even if 40% of players will whine that E-75, for example, is underpowered, statistics will show to us that it's not true. Decisions are based on players concerns and opinions. To receive them we can either create threads like this one or just compile facts on the matter 'serfing' forums. Shortly: be constructive.
3)Unfortunately, I will next time enable very strict moderation for off-topic and flaming in topics on hot themes in the Test sections. Currently only 318 of 392 comments are visible to players. This means that the rest is a total off-topic (I have not moderated any message which has at least words 'T110' or 'M103', or their replacements like 'crappy BS from biased Developers'). Such threads are made to gather player's opinions on specific matter. More 'clean' they will be, more pure and adequate feedback players will receive.
4)'Actual Devs not reading threads'. They actually read feedback threads. But they do not read the whole forums. Just threads created for them, which are concentrated on the matter. For rest they have reports from community team. Why it's like that? Developers need their time for Developing the game. Unfortunately, they have no time to constantly look through forums. If there is any interesting topic, like the 'T110 armour' for example, we give them direct link with a kind request to look through it. For instance, Lead Wargaming Projects Producer, Slava Makarov, has personally read 400+ pages of the above mentioned topc (yes, he speaks English -)) )
P.S. No comments on the vehicles themselves before we discuss the matter basing on the gathered feedback.
I hope that my post will help you to understand us a bit more.

socomseal, on Mar 16 2012 - 16:53, said: There is no reason to play the M103 or T110. They can't do
anything. They have incredibly weak side armour, and weak rear
armour. Their frontal armour is not that impressive, and neither
can hull down effectively. Neither of these tanks offer anything
over their competitors.
All I am asking for from the M103 and T110, is a tank with frontal armour that is good enough to reliably bounce a tier 8 shell at range. And a turret that can withstand just about anything frontally, so that the tank can hull down better than any of the other competitors. And have a gun with decent accuracy, and penetration. I don't think I am asking for too much. I just want a competitive tank, not an over powered tank. I want a tank that would give the American heavies a place in clan wars, as a hull down defensive, high pen gun tank.

should tell them something. The anger as you say should not have to
be hidden in a thread in the US heavy forum that will NEVER be read
by a dev. This is the appropriate place to tell them exactly how we
feel about these tanks while there is hopefully time to get a REAL
tier 10 heavy in the American line.

because of my patience I'm continuing to read the thread after the
actual feedback stopped. Will see what waits me in the end.
About 'never read' thing. I'm aware that Developers have read the whole T110's Armor thread just because they wanted to receive feedback from US players. That thread have not fully satisfied their interests. That's why you have this one.

We haven't had to do this yet, but where possible we want to avoid situations where late in a tournament there is a bye due to teams drawing every battle of the round.

we'll be taking past tournament play into account for it.
For example, don't expect one division with S.I.M.P., Forge, D-INC, Cazadores, NDP, SSGS, etc.
Division play will also allow us to properly seed the playoff bracket.

If it's an entire year, roster changes would be helpful. Not necessary, but helpful. I know that I would love to be part of the classic but also know that I will not have access to a computer in 3 months.
Also, I doubt most teams would abuse roster changes by bringing in better players. You can have the best person in the game on your team but if he does not know how the team plays, that player will be a lot less useful. I also suspect many teams will be clan exclusive or if they are not, they will be made up of friends who know how each other plays and would not want to bring in a new guy unless they know the guy.
BDKas, on Mar 15 2012 - 13:16, said: I dont know if I like the whole 1 battle thing. It should at least
be a best of 3.
As far as reserves go, I dont know why wargaming thinks that allowing teams to modify rosters mid season is a better option than expanding the roster 3-4 slots. There are MANY potential problems with allowing teams to change their rosters mid season.
macg1991, on Mar 15 2012 - 20:06, said: Why not just make the prizes pools instead, to be divided by the
number of players on the team that wins that prize pool? You could
allow between 15 to 20 players on a team, and you don't have to
worry about people gaming the system. Just go 97,000 * 15 for first
place equals a 1,455,000 gold pool for first place. If a team that
is more laid back and less demanding wants 20 members, they could
just take 1,455,000 gold and divide it by 20 for 72,750 per person,
and if somebody wanted 18 members they could get 80,833 gold per
person, and if somebody wanted 15 they could get the full 97,000
per person.
The simple fact of the matter, and the point I am trying to make, is that there are a lot of people who do not play this game religiously and who enjoy, or have to do, other stuff. Just give us the option please, and see how it shakes out from there. Letting people decide to take 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, or 20 tankers when they register (Insert Cliche about decisions being harder when you need to make them) their team would be a much more accurate assessment than a poll in the forums.
Pope_Shizzle, on Mar 16 2012 - 17:11, said: Might I suggest making the scoring system reward 3 points for a win

play to win, instead of camping for a draw.
1 point for a draw and zero for a loss is fine as is.

GeneralDirection: The season will probably last around 5 months.

GeneralDirection: I have to double check (I'm at home right now), but I don't think
it's possible to set it to multiple battles during the division
play (tool limitation).

GeneralDirection: This is a good idea. We'll discuss it on Monday and make a
decision. If we open this option up, we'll announce it right away
and probably extend registration a day or two to allow time to add
extra members to the roster.

GeneralDirection: Done. Good feedback; we'll update the rules to reflect that on
Monday morning. Wins will reward 3 points, draws 1, losses 0. I had
it set to this originally, but opted for a scoring system similar
to the NHL. We do have to treat this a little differently than
hockey though.

Do not take this personally, this is just a reply directed at the policies of the company which you are representing.
Perhaps, if the staff understood the problem, they might have a better chance of solving it. As I've stated in multiple posts, and repeatedly in support tickets, I have ONE ACCOUNT, on ONE EMAIL ADDRESS, it's the only account I've ever had, and I've had it, unaltered, since July 2010 as a closed beta tester.
With regard to my account, there is no choice to make, there is only one.
There are no multiple accounts, unused, to delete. There is one account, and if I delete it, or WoT deletes it, there will never be another one.

Tanitha: Hello VirgilHilts, your information is incorrect.
The information provided by Vallter previously is the situation.
To try to explain it more for you.. You joined World of Tanks a long time ago, (Thanks I hope you are still having fun) Anyway.. when you joined there was one server which then split up into the NA server and the Eu server. So everyone who joined as long ago as you did, has two accounts, a banned account on the Eu server, and your NA server account which you are playing.
When the database was made from combining all the players from the Ru, Eu and NA servers, a lot of players ended up with the account from the incorrect server being put into the test server's database. It will be fixed, but not in time for this 7.2 test unfortunately.
Vallter apologized for the situation, and hopefully the players can understand that the priority is getting 7.2 fully ready and released onto the retail/main NA server as quickly as possible, instead of stopping the production to fix the test server's database.
Again I apologizes as well. But all we can do unfortunately is fix the situation and prevent it from happening with the 7.3 test server.
Regards
Tan.
