If you hit further section of track, you won't really splash much
else of the tank. That is why I cannot stand HE, the wide
berth of inconsistency, on top of already inconsistent 25%
RNG. Spamming IS6 HE rounds against a Lowe, some can hit

¡Mucha suerte

actually, you can play against prem ammo if you know what you're

is why WG is reworking HE instead of prem ammo.

Draschel: only works if they nerf frontal armor to include legitimate
weakspots. The two (ammo re-balance/weakspot implementation) need
to be done at the same moment.

Draschel: Problem is HE is so inconsistent to hard-counter armor.
A tank spamming HE like Type 5 can deal 300 damage to side scraping

camo, and offers more generous ammo capacity. But LIS pulls ahead
because of superior turret armor and the firepower. Extremely good
muzzle velocity. The AP is better, not having users frequently

Will also detonate HE shells away from your tank, reducing their

I doubt that people will care if they resale the FCM, it doesn't really have a unique reputation like the E-25
Draschel: Unique? or unique reputation like____? FCM50 is very
unique, as it has a high DPM medium tank gun, on a mobile medium
tank chassis, while classified heavy. The problems start though,
that when you look at a fast heavy tank, a gun suitable for the
problems heavy tanks have is still required.FCM50 can't afford to
use a medium tank DPM gun because it has no turret armour like
Caernarvon AX or Patriot.Likewise, it cannot afford to use its
medium tank DPM gun from longer ranges due to bad camo and mediocre
dispersion stats. It's a big tank with an identity crisis.
While it is generally easy for heavy medium tanks to be a heavy,
like super perishing or 430U - it is harder for fast heavy tanks to
be a medium, except with exceptional well rounded platforms like
IS7, 277, WZ1115A, Renegade. Tanks like FCM50 offer very precise,
singular extreme, that is hard to use. And even if you did pull it
off, chances are you would be better off in Renegade or 274A
attempting the same thing

they would fire less if tanks like OI and Type 5 or Maus - had some
credible weakspots most opponents could aim for? Premium ammunition
is available to all, it isn't exclusive. Use it yourself, have you
thought of that? You complain about armor meaning
nothing, yet immediately afterwards you complain about 907, 260,

Draschel: From the 1950s to 90s, there was a huge emphasis and technological
race on composite armor to defeat HEAT attack. HEAT was and is seen
as an easy and effective means to penetrate rolled steel, as rolled
steel doesn't fair very well against the borrowing conduit effects
of a molten jet. HEAT can be be sued with light weight systems, at
short and long range, doesn't need velocity, doesn't involve
dramatic recoiling weapons. And it does this all quite nicely. But
HEAT has now been proven to be very unrelaible against composite
armor, stand-off additional armor, soft-kill defensive systems, and
hard-kill interception defensive systems (due to HEAT low
velocity) This has placed again, the emphasis on kinetic
penetrators, such as sub caliber, APDSFS and kinetic rod missiles
like LOSAT. These kinetic penetrators also have a better chance in
dealing with composite armor, and additional stand-off armor -- as
these are designed more for contesting HEAT attack. Kinetic rod
penetrators from tanks guns like Leclerc, T-14, Leopard II
shouldn't have too much problem penetrating tanks and/or at least
severely damaging / disabling tanks rated to effective protection
well over 15-1600mm effective VS HEAT. But are only effective VS
6-800mm physical kinetic attack. So again, the cycle returns to
WWII thinking and strategy, tanks are getting heavier and heavier
and thicker and thicker, not just relying on advanced armor
technique (for HEAT) but thickness and density (for SABOT) as well.
It is an ongoing tank race. I imagine them implementing
a system like War Thunder/Armored warfare. Different grades of
metallic alloy. Different reactivity with different polymers. A
tank like Maus or IS7 layered with a heavy steel shell will defend
itself better against kinetic strikes, but they get fried as
the steel armor is sizzled through by even lower capacity
HEAT. Likewise, on the other end a tank like Centurion 7/1 or M60
with Israeli Blazer reactive armor in the 70s may still not be
too protected at all against APCR or APDS, but stops HEAT
cold. Missile defenses can also be included to make them
not too game defining. Missile regulatory mechanics, too. Dazzlers,
laser warning and direction prior to launch, particulate
smokescreen dischargers that confuse/distort beam riding and
obscure line of sight. Who knows. But I like it, it is the bridge
to War Gaming releasing a cross world immersive battlezone like War
Thunder. Ships, tanks, wheeled vehicles, Helicopters, aircraft,
towed guns.....whatever.

honestly. The more we remove guesswork from this game the
more boring it's going to become. Worse, bad players will
always be bad players until they decide to improve. Good
players maintain a higher level of SA and this information would
make the 'skill gap' between good and bad players too
extreme. I'm somewhere in the middle, in terms of my ability,
however the shakeout from an idea like this would make the games
way too lopsided as a general rule. It's a 'cool idea' and
in other circumstances, it might be reasonable. I don't think
this is the game environment that would be good for the game as a
whole. It'd be like giving better players that much more of
an edge. I think that would make this game way too
frustrating for players that are at or below the server average to
a really high degree. I like the idea, honestly. I
just don't think it would improve the overall state of the game.

Draschel: I agree with you 100%. Have fun. I don't like seeing a
meta-game of only B/Cromwells, T3485M, A43, and Type 64 either.But
the fact of the matter is, you said it yourself. You are here to
have fun. Yet you want to win all your games? Yet you complain when
others win their games?Competition and fun are not necessarily the
same. Frequently, they are opposite. The more casual, the less
likely to win. The more serious, the more likely. The
vehicle you play, does not entirely assert who wins or who doesn't.
However, one as handicapped as SU100Y is a definite liability. In
addition, while player skills and position are far more key than
the actual tank readied up - when players are equally talented,
experienced, aware, and know positions of most maps - that is when
chosen tanks become important.

Draschel: World of tanks Modern Armor isn't your daughters second line
logistical assignments.

DeviouslyCursed: Yeah, I'm the troll and not the idiots who have to add a
negative comment about WoT or WG to every single thread on the
forums, subscribe to every idiot-backed conspiracy theory, and
openly reject actual evidence and data. Go sign up to their little
club, sounds like you'd fit right in.
