Trevzor:   I know it's rough playing in tournaments when you are not winning (seriously, almost all of the eSports team has cut their teeth as tournament tankers prior to being employed by Wargaming.)   The cold hard truth of the matter is this: It's the holidays, the tournament tools we use are less than stellar, and I am too lazy to set individual groups to raise specific teams to the top while keeping other teams down.   RNG can be a harsh mistress sometimes, even when group selection is happening.

The_Chieftain: The loader in the Abrams GIF is wearing a mask because it's an NBC engagement. Close the hatches, turn on the NBC system, put on your mask. It's the only engagement where the hatches are all closed.   The breechblock is supposed to slide up on its own. Looks like they need to grease the breech a bit, the loader was just helping it along a bit. Fairly safe activity as long as he hasn't lifted the arming lever, which he hadn't.

Trevzor:  Or, more accurately, the tournament admins also want to take some time to enjoy their family during the holidays so they do just enough to keep the tournaments running while they are opening presents and enjoying the family they see once or twice a year.   It's also important to note that payouts can take up to 7 days after the tournament's end. The_Chieftain: Spent today fighting with a toilet. What should have been a two hour job has turned into something of a nightmare as it turns out my 1964 house is so old it predates standard 3" or 4" ABS piping. I've got some bizarre 3.5" internal, 4.25" external, cast-iron thing. I look online, I've found another few people with similar problems in the past, the helpful folks on the DIY forums are saying "you're measuring it wrong, there's no such thing as what you're telling us".   I think I can bodge it. The bathrooms are up for a remodel in a couple of years anyway, so as long as it works... (Fortunately, I'm in a house with two toilets). However, I've racked up about $50 in parts I'm likely going to have to return.   In other news, Zinegata's getting a bit of a talking to over on Paradox. https://forum.parado...d.897407/page-4 Comes down to "You give very good info, but you've got to tone down your antagonism"  

dance210: Hi guys!   Sincere apologies for the delay in getting gold to you guys. I'm away on vacation for two weeks and the office was also closed for the Christmas holidays. I'm hoping that I (or someone else) will be able to start getting through some of these payouts.   I understand that y'all want the gold, and I want to get it to you as quickly as possible. While I wish we were able to get it to you within the 7 days, our vacation/holidays has messed up the schedule. dance210: It's a known function of the tournament tools. There is a chance one team will be "stuck" on the same side for the entire night.  

dance210: This was a test to see how attack/defense works for the Skirmishes. If people like it, then I will definitely start adding in those maps (most likely with team sizes larger than 4v4).

State if you are interested in registering for the entire tournament (Group Stage + playoff) or for the weekend playoff only.

The_Chieftain: I'm currently running a 61% win rate on my M103, after 370 battles, almost entirely solo-pub. Of all the tanks in my garage, the only vehicles I've played over 100 games in with an equal or better win rate are the Matilda IV and Churchill III, also 61%, StuG IIIG 63%, so the M103 obviously has something going for it. (I'm only 51% on Conqueror, but most of that is pre-buff, and only 40 or so games, so not entirely settled). I have absolutely no fear against E75 or VKB in my M103, though I do respect them.   I went through my other Tier IX heavies on my personal account some time (over a year) ago, but for comparison, my win rates there were 52% AMX 50-120, 52% ST-1, 52% E-75, 53% IS-8, 57% VK 4502 Ausf B.   I'm sorry if you, or even majority of the playerbase haven't figured out how to get M103 to work well, but the tank seems pretty darned fantastic to me, and it's a keeper which I regularly play. The E-75 may well be better at E-75ing, but the M103 is second-to-none at doing what M103 does.
