The_Chieftain: In the past I used this tank as meat shield but I've now came to the conclusion that M103 is not really meant for bouncing shots... its all about evading them with style.       Absolutely. Other heavy tanks are better at that. M103 isn't about taking hits, it's about dishing them out. Remember that 'maneuver' is 'using movement to place effective fires upon the enemy', and pretty much its only peer at this is Conqueror. The hitpoints and armor are more saving throws than anything to emphasise.

The_Chieftain:   Perhaps not, but given I'm running better than a 60% win rate with my M103 after a few hundred battles, I think you can forgive my being a bit unbiased towards it.

The_Chieftain:   Obviously, stay away from Tier V! But yes, Langley is quite good for what it is. Torp drops can be especially useful. Remember, the low-tier BBs you should be aiming at can't really turn and dodge.   Speaking of, just completed Lexington, which was a fairly painless grind, though I do still wish for a second torp squadron.

The_Chieftain: I am not too familiar with the event, but I do seem to recall that the then-current military was willing enough to go after their former colleagues, the former military, about a hundred years ago in the bonus marches in DC. Patton ordered a cavalry charge, MacArthur used tanks. Even after the President ordered the attack stopped, MacArthur chose to go ahead anyway. Eisenhower wasn't such a fan, but officially endorsed the move afterwards. It might not bode well for proposed army defection rates in the future. However, it's all down to circumstance, Ten years later, military in Tenessee were quite willing to help arm citizens against the local police force which asn't respcting election results.   as as to the Olifant/Dai thing, it's going into PM territory, if you don't mind. Comfort level de-intensifying.

Triple_Crown:   I fully reviewed the 12/31  Stand To Tournament this morning - thank you for everyone's patience and understanding.   The first four rounds seem to have been correctly scheduled, but Rounds 5 6 and 7 were incorrectly scheduled for 1/30 not 1/1 ( and not played ).   Having reviewed all the circumstances, in this instance,  we will be making a full First Prize award and prizes for ALL teams that recorded at least ONE win in the first four rounds.   IF the Captains of any team that did NOT record a win,  wish to message me direct and send me the screenshots of the battles that they played in , I will also review their status /standings. The_Chieftain: I have found that when under threat from DDs, the best thing to do is to charge hem down. Trying to dodge forever is a losing proposition, you'll get hit eventually. I've found that New Yorks, Fusos and Tirpitzs make excellent destroyer killers. Obviously, charge erratically.   The DD driver usually doesn't expect it, often falls back, and sometimes you get a hit. If they try to charge you down, one or two 14 or 15 inch hits tends to do a number on them. A DD at 3-5 km isn't too hard to hit.   On other news, I spent way too much money on Squadron's post Christmas sale. Some good deals, but just adding to the kits I won't be building.
