dance210:   Right now, Solo/Party and Team registration is only for our 3v3 Platournaments. These are one day tournaments that normally happen every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The tier changes weekly and map changes daily, but it is always 3 active players plus 1 reserve.   Battles start at 6:30 pm PT and normally last until 8 pm PT. It's set up as a round robin, so you play each team in your group once. Battles are 7 minutes and there are 10 minutes between rounds.   You can find all our active tournaments on the tournament homepage. Currently, registration is still open for our Thursday and Saturday tournaments this week, which are at tier VI. I will likely be opening up registration for next week's Platournaments a bit later today   When you create a team, the default option is for Team Registration. You will need to change it to Solo/Party under "Registration Options" (see for example) The other thing to note for Platournaments is we are making the groups based upon a tournament rating system, meaning you should see teams around your tournament level (new teams vs. new teams, better teams vs. better teams) - this is NOT based on random battle stats such as win rate, personal rating or WN8, only on how well you do in a tournament. Signing up solo means you could be with other new tournament players or you could be part of a team that has a lot of tournament experience and is rated higher.
    We do still offer the  1v1 Throwdowns, which are round robin tournaments for those who only wish to play solo. Those are normally Thursdays at 5 pm PT and Saturdays at 1 pm PT. These tournaments last just over an hour. The battle times are shorter (only 5 min battles) and rounds start every 8 minutes.   If you have any other questions, please let me know

Saffr0n:   Because it's accounting for the best rolling average for five consecutive battles in a series, not the average of five individual battles played between Oct. 27th - Nov. 28th. For example, If I played 10 battles, the first five battles determines my average (by design), if base experience from battles 6/7 are higher than battles 1/2 then my ranking is being calculated by the average base experience from battles 3-7. Now if your average for battles 6-10 is lower than your average from battles 3-7, then you will not increase your base experience average.    Depending on the series, it's likely that the battles you achieved high scores in were part of a series that did not average higher than your highest achieved base experience average.

dance210:   Correct.   Solo/Party allows some flexibility if a) a player doesn't have a team but still wishes to participate or b) a captain isn't sure if they can fill up the team, but still want to participate and doesn't mind having random players assigned to them.

dance210:   Hi bergsteiger!   8_Hussars was on the right track. Let me see if I can explain it   Register Team: When you Confirm your team, you must have at least the minimum number of players. They can be people that you invited or people that randomly join the team (if there is no password). Once the team captain hits Confirm, that is your team and you are ready to go!   And if you don't have enough players join your team when registration closes, you will not be able to participate.   Register Solo/Party: When you sign up, you do NOT need to have a full team (in particular, players who you want to invite to join your team). You can sign up as an individual (or with a friend) and after registration closes you will be assigned to a team. If your team has more than one player, you guys will stay together; other player(s) will be added to the team to make a full team. When teams are created, you may or may not still be the team captain, since players are often moved around to create full teams.   With this option, ALL players who signed up for Solo/Party registration will be accepted. Because the teams are randomly created, you may or may not know the other player(s) who were also assigned to that team.   Does this make sense?

The_Chieftain:   If it were all carried wins, my win rate on the vehicle would be 49%, no? Or at least down to my 'average' win rate?   There is a difference between the tank being frustrating to play, and being inferior. It's frustrating, I get that. You don't play a couple of hundred games in the T95 and not know the highs and lows of the thing. I love the vehicle, but yes, I routinely get games where I pull my hair out because the game was lost (or worse, won) in a way that I had no ability to affect. The counter to that is that when you get games which you can affect, T95 is bloody awesome, which is part of the reason I love it. And, because I believe the vehicle is intended to be never stationary, I get those good games more often than not.   So here's the problem. Let's say you buff the speed somehow. More hp, higher top speed, less resistance, whatever. The vehicle will now be able to apply its total awesomeness far more frequently, and more greatly affect the games. This will increase the vehicle's overall win rate. Thus drawing the attention of the balance team who will then set about nerfing the vehicle in some manner to bring its overall win rate back into par. How will they nerf it? They won't do it by slowing it down, they've just increased the speed. So they have to reduce something which gives the T95 its awesomeness to begin with. Armor. Alpha. ROF, HP, things like that. The result? The Doom Turtle is no longer the rolling fortress of "Oh-My-God-a-T95-I-had-better-go-the-other-way" because, in order to get to more fights, you had to reduce its nature to begin with.   T95 is a very binary vehicle. It is a vehicle of total extremes. The secret to loving T95 is to accept that, to take the frustrations of the occasional terrible game as the payment you make for those games where you are unstoppable and lay waste to everything in your path. If you don't like that idea (and I'd say that the E3 is a derivative of it), maybe you'd be best served not playing T95 in the first place.

The leaderboards are updated once per day at 03:50 PT. Your fifth battle in the T-44-100 came at 06:00 PT today (Oct. 30th), therefore, leaderboard stats for playing the minimum amount of battles in your T-44-100 will be available and viewed on October 31st @ 03:50 PT.

I'm part of the group that will be reviewing any fair play penalties so I'm glad you and I were able to have this dialogue. We have some changes in the works that should prevent this sort of thing from happening and I hope you'll still have faith in us to see it through.    Again, thanks for your feedback!

Saffr0n:   It is a concern that vehicles in tiers 6-7 would be able to get into battles with tiers 9-10, respectively, and benefit from the potential increase in base XP. We are looking into such possibilities for the entire duration of the Top Tankers event. A fairplay warning was included in the event's rules page when we announced it:    http://worldoftanks....ers_2016_rules/ Play Fair! The event is conceived so that random allies (and Platoons) and enemies can engage in some fierce tank action to determine who among them is a true top tanker. If a situation comes to our attention where players are intentionally fixing matches in order to increase their base Experience earned statistics, the results of such players/groups will be reset for all the vehicles in which they participated in the event, regardless of the vehicle in which they fought the fixed battle. Various penalties can also apply in accordance with the Game Rules. If a player receives a ban of four days or more for violating the Game Rules, their participation in the event is void. A ban of 1 to 3 days is considered a warning and does not remove the player from the event.
