Saffr0n:   Sorry to hear that you won't be participating in this event. Do note that this contest is for tiers 6 though 10. A failtoon consisting of a tier 5 tank has no benefit in this contest since the scores won't count. The tier 8 vehicle is actually hindering its chances of achieving the highest possible base xp scores by bringing in a lower tier vehicle that won't be as effective as another vehicle of the same tier.    Thanks for your feedback.

The_Chieftain:   It's not.   This weekend, instead of doing any modelling or other hobbies, I'm doing an essay on why the British military were technologically behind its peers at the beginning of WW2.   The essay isn't the problem. The problem is finding the citations in all those books that I have 'somewhere'.

Saffr0n:   Hello Tankers,    The Top Tankers mod can be found by going to the web portal, then navigating to the Community drop-down tab. When you populate its selections menu choose Useful Software. In this page you'll find the mod at the very bottom. I've also created a step-by-step for installation, which includes a download link:    https://na.wargaming...kb/articles/726   Installing this mod is optional so if you want to check your progress on the web portal, navigate to the same Community drop-down tab. dance210: Let the "Throwdown" begin! With the popularity of our weekly Saturday Throwdown's, we have decided to double the fun! Each Thursday there will be a 1v1 Throwdown at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET. However, these tournaments will focus on specific tiers. This week focuses on tier I tanks so it's never been easier to join in the competition! Starting in November, the Thursday 1v1 Throwdown's will have a map other than Mittengard. Playing on the same map can get old and stale, so per your feedback we will be testing which maps/modes work well with the 1v1 tournaments. It will start with some relatively small(ish) Encounter maps and possibly through in some Attack/Defense maps. Please let us know what you think of these maps down below. Saffr0n: Next year we're planning to have 31 days of the Halloween garage and reserve the Halloween weekend for Tank Hollow (Tank Rewards).

Saffr0n:   You have a valid concern and anyone that plays artillery can appreciate that. The FAQ addresses this concern, I apologize if it wasn't the answer you were expecting.    There are contests and events that includes all tank classes, specifically Tank Rewards (and related missions) each month.

The_Chieftain:   I keep telling Michael to give me a day's warning before he puts the camera on me so that I can shave. I'm going to have to go back to keeping shaving gel and blades in the car at all times.   As for the hair, well, I'm next due for military duty mid-November. So I've been holding off on the cut as long as possible so that it's still relatively short next time I'm in uniform.   It got cut from the video, but my official response to the question was "No, WoT has not led me to any tank-related hobbies"

GhostPrime:   Hello Tankers!    The Top Tankers event begins tomorrow!  We have compiled a FAQ to answer some questions that you may have so far. Please Use this thread to ask any additional questions you may have, and we will answer them!   Question: Why is artillery excluded from the event? Answer: The event might increase the normal wait time for SPG's because of their matchmaking conditions.   Question: Is the average base experience calculated by a series of five consecutive battles only or would it also be calculated with any five battles with the highest base experience earned from October 27th to November 28th? Answer: Only the best, consecutive, battles will be counted between October 27th and November 28th. For example, the first 5 games will create the counted series: 1-5. If a sixth battle is played and the results are better than the first battle, then the series will change to count battles 2-6. If a seventh battle is played and is equal or less than the second battle, then the highest series will remain battles 2-6.   Question: What compensation, if any, will be given to a player, among the top 3 in each tier category, if they already own the vehicle reward? Answer: They shall receive the credit equivalent of the vehicle's price.   Question: Will players that ranked 101 – 1000 receive any in-game rewards that are not listed in the event details? Answer: Depending on how they placed, they will receive the Top 100 or Top 1000 Achievement medal, and no other in-game goods.   Please also see the support article HERE
