I didn’t tell you to git gud.... I said you need to stop blaming the tank and figure out how to play the game and that frontline is a great way to get that experience while earning a crapton of credits and building up your crews at the same time.

it goes to whatever tank you earned the exp in.  So if you play three tanks each one gets the exp fir what you did in that tank.

1984BigBrother: Tankers, I have made my decision and NA will be pushing forward with the new features. I made this decision after reading through the comments and talking with a lot of players that played 1.0. The main reason I made this decision is without chips it would not be like 1.0, I don't think anything we implemented would have the same feel as the original map. I would like to take some time to talk about a few of the other things brought up in this thread: Simplicity - I sort of agree with all of you, I think there should be a very simple way for clans that will have a hard time getting on the map to perform in actions that 1. affect the map 2. earn them gold, we have been working out how to make this a possibility and the best luck we have had is with the convoy system. For the top clans, I can almost guarantee the with new development the map will be more complex (or at least have that perception). We have more developers working on CW then ever before (which I think is a great thing) we are going to try a lot of new things compared to the previous 5 years some will be more successful than others. The Alliance Mechanic -  Some of you may not like to hear this, but the Alliance Mechanic has been a wild success in my eyes. The first part of my conference was about numbers before and after Alliances. We found that this mechanic not only increases the number of clans that played on the map but also increased the number of clans that earned at least 10,000 and 25,000 gold throughout the season, it also drastically increased the number of battles that happened on the server during the season. I am really trying this season without the mechanic to see if we lose those gains or if there are other factors that play into this. Reward Tanks - Reward tanks only have and only will be available during campaigns. I don't know where the confusion is coming from but this is how it will always work.  The time between seasons - This is a very hot topic for me. I totally agree there should be clan activities other than strongholds available during the whole year. Currently, we are basically planning all of our big activities around other events that are happening on the server which will continue but we are looking at the possibility of reopening the "Training Map" (it would basically be another front) in Antarctica, this would be open 365 (minus freezes days for patches) and would "replace" the 0 gold provinces we tried last season. This is basically a small step toward the goal of having CW available all year. As always I really appreciate the all of your time and I look forward to delivering you all a better system in the future. GL HF, Big

View PostMfezi, on Jun 22 2019 - 13:05, said:   My apologies, I was being a little facetious there, but in the context this is the way I see it ...   i. You are probably better at the game than I am. ii. You paid more attention to your stats when it was still possible to influence them. iii. Your attention to performance may have led you to select vehicles that complemented your playstyle iv. You may have elevated your stats by playing at lower tiers in OP tanks. v. You may be a seal-clubber.... (just kidding :) vi. However you did it, you chose to nurture your stat at an early stage.   I however, had the notion to start off grinding every tank line to tier 10. I played each tank in turn just for the fun of it, but I don't really have the skills necessary to jump between different tanks and my stats suffered accordingly, not that it bothered me as I was having fun and I thought a 48% winrate was pretty good.   I am still following my original plan with only a handful of tanks to grind before I have them all at tier 9, but my winrate has declined and somehow the game is not as enjoyable as it used to be.   To cut a long story short, it has become apparent that enjoyment is closely related to ones stats. Too late for me to do much about it at this stage and I am happy plodding on with my mission, BUT there are many like me out there whose 'fun-factor' is diminished and so they choose to leave the game.   My mission is to restore the 'fun-factor', and grow or even just maintain the player-base at it's current level. A good start in achieving this would be to balance the teams. NOT for my benefit, but for all those frustrated players out there who might be thinking of leaving!!!!.... :)

TeriyakiTanker:
You will never be good because you are full of excuses and are incapable of self reflection.  Your problem isn’t that you ground out to many tank lines that is just a pathetic excuse.  I have researched every single tank in this game and I don’t have a 45% win rate.  Your issue is that you take no responsibility for your own in game play and have spent the last 20k plus games contributing nothing to your team and hoping that WG will implement SBMM so you can be carried to wins by your teammates.  It is just pathetic.

I'm curious what the rational is behind making it a heavy tank more comparable to the M103? The Kampfpanzer 50 t looks Swiss in design. If so, I wish we'd just get a Switzerland tech tree already. Don't suppose you could share the historical information on it?   Looking forward to getting my hands on them both! Any details yet on how we might get the Kampfpanzer since we don't have Ranked Battles?

DomoSapien: Unfortunately I wasn't provided any historical information but I will consult with the Chieftain and see if he can dig anything up.

View PostChad1233, on Jun 21 2019 - 10:56, said: I'm to curious about why the AE Phase I is being turned into a heavy tank with a 120. Also I like we're being shown the Ranked Battle reward tank when we can't even play it. XD

DomoSapien: Honestly your guess is as good as mine. Maybe they felt its playstyle would be too similar to the M60, M46, and M48?

As for the 50 t, I was actually pretty hesitant to post about it because I figured it would only invite negative sentiment and ultimately do more harm than good. However after exchanging a few emails with global I was assured that our plans hadn't changed and we are still planning to give players on the NA and APAC servers a chance to earn the ranked rewards. With that in mind, we decided to post about the vehicle so that we could give players a centralized space for discussion about its characteristics.

DomoSapien: Tankers, we've got details to share about the Frontline and Ranked reward vehicles!
As a reminder, we are committed to making sure that players in NA have an opportunity to earn the Kampfpanzer 50 t and all the corresponding rewards for Ranked Battles. This hasn't changed, and we hope to have more information in that regard very soon™  Frontline - AE Phase I The main prize of the Frontline mode, the AE Phase I, is about to enter its Supertest. Looking at this Tier IX American heavy, you’ll immediately notice its distinguishing feature: the segmented tracks. Like the T95 tank destroyer, this tank has four caterpillars, with two on each side. Unlike ‘The Doom Turtle’, the tracks on every side of the AE Phase I are set in a consecutive (and not in a parallel) order. This peculiarity doesn’t change the game mechanics: when a single track segment is destroyed, the tank is stalled. Now for the protection. The upper glacis plate of the AE Phase I is sloped much and has a thickness of 120 mm. The turret’s frontal armor is outstanding (up to 292 mm), with the commander’s cupola being the single—and small—vulnerable spot. The gun’s excellent depression angle of -10 degrees allows to obscure the cupola from enemies’ sight for most of the time. The side armor is decent, too (from 88 mm to 100 mm). The mobility corresponds to the vehicle’s class. A top speed of 35 km/m and a specific power of 16.1 hp per ton are enough for the AE Phase I to keep up with other heavies while in combat. Finally, let’s take a look at the 120mm gun. Its stabilization isn’t anything special, and neither is the accuracy (the dispersion is 0.38 m per 100 m). The rate of fire is average (4.8 shots per minute) as is the alpha strike of 400 points. Yet the armor penetration is majestic: 258 mm with the standard AP shell and 340 mm with the special HEAT shell, empowering you with an ability to pierce the protection of any foe, from every side. The AE Phase I comes with two nice quirks. The first is the status of an event vehicle, freeing you from the necessity to retrain an experienced Crew you assign to this tank. The second is a novel mechanic: a built-in Large Repair Kit consumable. In battle, it works just like a regular one but once the fight is over and you’re in the Garage, you don’t have to purchase a new one as the built-in Large Repair Kit replenishes automatically. The AE Phase I was designed for close quarters combat. With excellent frontal armor, great gun depression, high armor penetration with both basic and special rounds, and agreeable mobility it can emerge victorious from any brawl. Ranked Battles - Kampfpanzer 50 tToday we’re starting the Supertest for the vehicle a lot of you have been waiting for a long time: the Kampfpanzer 50 t, aka the main Ranked Battles mode reward. This Tier IX German medium tank carries a 105-mm Rheinmetall V1 gun. Among the strong sides of the latter are:Accuracy (the dispersion is 0.33 m per 100 m) Armor penetration (268 mm with the basic APCR round and 310 mm with the special HEAT round) Aiming time (2 seconds) View range (400 m)The gun’s single shot damage is 320 points, and it may seem not much at first sight. Yet good stabilization, a barrel depression of -8 degrees, and high armor penetration make the 50 t an efficient fighter at any distance, able to damage every opponent. The Kampfpanzer 50 t also has decent survivability. It possesses 1,750 hit points, a 120 mm thick upper glacis plate sloped at an impressive angle and bears up to 250 mm of armor at the front of its turret. Still there’s a couple of weak points, namely the gunner’s sights and the machine gun cupola at the rear. Also, the side armor is pretty thin (just 40 mm) so angling this tank’s hull is not recommended. Less armor means more mobility. The Kampfpanzer 50 t can boast a top speed of 60 km/h and a specific power of 18 hp per ton. This German can reach a key position on a map fast, provide fire support for an attack from there, and then return to the base just in time to defend it (if needed).A nice feature of this tank is its status of an event vehicle: you may place any suitable Crew in it, without the need to retrain. The Kampfpanzer 50 t is a medium/heavy tank hybrid combining the best of both worlds (and paying very little for that). Good mobility, a gun allowing for comfortable play, an armor which is exquisite for a medium—these are the strong sides or this German newcomer. Still, the strongest side of the 50t are not the stats; it’s YOU—the veteran player hardened by the Ranked Battles. SCREENSHOTS  That's it for now! Good luck on the battlefield.

Felipe6666Original: ¡Saludos, Comandantes!

Confira: AE Phase I O principal prêmio do modo Linha de Frente, o AE Phase I, está prestes a entrar no Superteste. A mobilidade corresponde à classe do veículo.

DomoSapien: The pz mutz received a wave of modest buffs in update 1.5.1 - considering the Patton KR is virtually the same tank, I'm cautiously optimistic that it'll get some love as well :)

TeriyakiTanker: There really isn’t any trick to it to be honest, basically you need to: 1. Get in the best clan you can2. Don’t miss any battles3. Win as much as you can, especially on multipliers4. Don’t pick too many bonuses to increase your game points as at a certain point they won’t be worth it

Jambijon: Yes they are still available.  It might be a little harder to get with the MM changes for Mid tiers and with Frontline going on.

Jambijon: I'll generally always prioritize heavies brawling or support weak flanks or just use this very general process; Opening spots, slow/easy to hit tanks Heavies and/or TDs Stationary tanks Mediums no target - counter battery Rarely - blind fire popular positions Randomly hit a Wheelie boi speeding in the back  Very generalized as of course, every game is situational.

Jambijon:  By default:Right Click over an enemy tank siloette to "lock on." Shift or mouse wheel up/down for zoom To switch arty views its the G key.  Also, if you hold CTRL and right click the mini-map you'll jump to that location when in arty mode.

TeriyakiTanker: And right here is someone who just doesn't get it..... it isn't greedy to let the other 59 players have more time to get more exp and silver..... really how much can you totally miss the point of Frontline.

Jambijon: I usually go for a good CPU investment then start thinking about the rest.  My main concern is to not bottle neck anything.  I think a really nice mobo and cpu are a good starting point if you want to "future proof" the system.

Guess badly and you are hung out to dry on a dead flank struggling to flex across to where the action is. Guess badly in a slower heavy tank and you either press J or you are screwed.    This is super important after the first zone or two falls. Say you are attacking B and you win. Where do you go from there? Cross into A help cap? Stay in B and try to take E?    Nobody wants to be that defending guy that thought the attackers would go from B to E and ends up sitting at E with 9 other friendlies and there are only 3 bad guys in the zone because the rest all went over to A.    So yeah I'd say it's the ability to read and anticipate the flow of the battle and not end up hung out to dry on a dead flank. Situational strategic awareness.    What do you think?

KRZYBooP:  On the other hand if you can hold a position and cause the enemy team to take longer than expected to over take you on defense, I count that as a win. Defenders can camp and only have to make the enemy waste time in trying to flank or shoot you for damage. The longer it takes them to get to the final front the better.
