LiannaSilverwind: Out of head: 1956 - five divisions of Soviet forces are on a
"friendly socialistic help mission" in Budapest, Hungary.
Working on WW2 examples.
Most authors either mentioned "saw combat during Spring 1945" or "was used as top secret training machine and was not permitted to enter combat". All of them mention that production was started at Autumn 1944, therefore T-44 fully pass as WoT tank as a tank of 1920-1950 years.

LiannaSilverwind: Interesting this is that American and German veterans, writers and
memoirists still speak about T-34 and KV drives/transmissions as
being extremely difficult to operate well, that Soviet drivers were
meant to be well trained/talented or would probably lose their
vehicle during the very first combat. Considering common knowledge
that Soviet tankists received much shorter training periods than
their German/American counterparts, and adding the fact that both
Tiger and Panther were considered by Germans as being more easily
operated than captured T-34 tanks, we can come to conclusion, that
no, in fact Soviet tanks were very difficult to drive and operate,
compared to their German counterparts.
Add to this problems with radiocommunication, very poor optics, especially during the first years of Eastern Front, and you can see the reason why so many Soviet tanks were lost. Like early war Soviet aircrafts they were very good machines in hands of experienced crews, but many crews never got time to learn how to use their vehicles to the full potential. Add to this superior German doctrines of the early period of war, lack of air support on Soviet side due to horrendous losses of RKVVA, and you will come to conclusion how "easy" it was for "everyone" to drive Soviet vehicle.

IS-3 tanks were closing the parade in Berlin as a final Warning for the Western Allies.
Tanks that never saw combat include all VK prototypes, Maus, Leopard. This list is not final. Will game be better without them? I hope we'll know when Historical mode will be available. For now I enjoy playing with them and against them.

LiannaSilverwind: I recommend reading German memoirs from 1941-1942 how did German
Panzers III and IV felt when meeting T-34s and KVs. And no, they

In this game everyone uses top-upgraded tanks and forget about poor Pz.Kpfw.IIIE or Pz.Kpfw.IVD, their armour and cannon qualities, and what they could do vs KV outside of calling for immediate Luftwaffe help or bringing up 88 mm flaks. This game also does not provide us a chance to play romanticized version of "I'm powerful Tiger II commander, I will hold this bridge against 30 T-34". If it will, people would lose their illusions.
And yes, ingame KTs are also upgraded to the top so their terrain speed and bridge-holding capabilities are unreal.

LiannaSilverwind: I suppose the reason is they start to detect approaching vehicle -
change of pixel colours in surroundings, but do not take into
account red/green tank marks above them, because we often see marks
too far from ourselves, out of LoS, at the other edge of the map.
Current bots probably try to simulate reaction to the vehicles near
them.
I hope for a good bot-elimination solution, even as primitive as players voting. Too many votes per day, minimal credits gain, no or minimal hits/kills (constant autoshooting with most cheap cannon is already being used)? => Bot.
No hits, no kills, no scouting = 0 XP/Credits is also good idea. The only problem is with scouting part. LiannaSilverwind: I've never seen MMO bot that is able to do much outside the "Tab to
target, 1-2-3, heal yourself if needed, repeat" sequence. You speak
about the bot that is able to autotarget (move mouse cursor) in
real time based on certain colours/patterns on the screen that are
changing/moving at insane speed. There is difference between moving
at certain pattern to the autospawned mobs in proper time
intervals, but botting for PvP, well... never saw it.
Being database programmer for more than 15 years, therefore lacking in graphics experience, I'm very curious to see an example. In case you provide one, I will definitely change my opinion and vote against custom-made skins myself.
BTW Russian players already have release with customizable skins and I did not notice any votes or opinions about bots or specially modified skins usage. Considering most Russian players are very hardcore, I come to conclusion that such problem should already appear, if it really does exist. Am I wrong?

LiannaSilverwind: Picture analysis is very difficult problem for programming,
analysing pictures changing 60+ times per second and trying to
enforce program to point mouse at certain parts of moving targets
based on colours... I would consider simply impossible, more
difficult than NP-complete problem.

LiannaSilverwind: На русском сервере уже релис, здесь пока все еще Бета, все получают
бесплатное золото и минусуют тех, кто защищает доблестное наследие
предков, поскольку "запад всех победил, а советы только числом
воевали". Ну и другая атмосфера, другая тактика судя по форумам,
другой говор и темперамент.
