but a Small-Repair kit consumable is a MUST.
Tanitha: A spall liner is very useful, and it is what it is, it cant be
replaced by anything else.
It provides a advantage if you ram often (I do), or get rammed, and provides defense against HE ammo, and arty HE fire.
The toolkit on the other hand, Starts to get a bit redundant when you can have 100% repair on the crew, And you can carry a "instant" repair kit. So without the repair kit (500k) I can repair instantly once (quicker) and if more repairs are needed the 100% repair crew does a reasonable job.
The spall liner's only 50k for a small tank, so 1/10th of the cost.
I think the main advantage with the toolkit is you can move it to another tank later.

You don't show as a beta tester.
When you sign up for beta, and enter your beta code (that you can get from some mmorpg websites) if will swap you to a "beta tester" instead of a Member. Provided you use the same email etc for both of them.

which would reset your exp so you could spend them on other
things.
If a softipe happens it happens, until then, no you cant. All you can do is convert extra exp on a elite tank to free exp to spend elsewhere with gold.

*Edit, at least this has lost you a few k for repairs, and 10 mins doing a report. Hopefully resulting in them being banned.
If you return fire, or rage in chat, it ends up all three are banned, and you lose a lot more than 10 mins.
Well done on keeping your cool. A lot can't.

Archives\Beta\Questions\Clan Wars after realse
Link on message: #179943

Link on message: #179943
LiannaSilverwind: I must admit I am very surprised that people do really think so
strange things...
1) Of course there will be hard wipe. Developers stated that many times. Already many players slack a lot, because they have no definite goal in the game. Many people demand goals, goals that are hard to be achieved. There is absolutely no grind in this game. During Russian release first top tanks of Tier 10 were gained during 6th (Sixth!) day of gameplay. If you're nolifer, you can gain Top Tier medium tank during 3 days.
Okie, some will say, but I am not nolifer! - But who forces you to play 18 hours per day? You can gain your Tier 10 tank in one month. Does anyone force you to do it in six days?
But I want to pwn hard in Clan Wars, I cannot pwn evil nolifers who will have IS/Tiger first day of release! - Well, honey, but fact is in every MMO where equipment is gained over longer period of time, players who invest more time have better equipment. Besides you can invest real money to make your timeway shorter. It is your decision that you want to PWN and you want to PWN now and right away and for free. I heard CounterStrike is good game too.
2) Many people ask for Credits based Premium account, for return of Gold, no reset, so that they can retain their tanks. Dear players, this project was made by developers, these people work like many of us do, they need to eat, to drink, some of them even sleep or have families. They need to gain money from the project. If there would be no wipe, most people would not buy Premium Account, would not invest Gold into Credits or XP transfers. So project is totally free and developers gain very little money, therefore in the end project just stops and those who cried out "Free! No wipe! Those who pay are made more powerful!" made it... end.
3) Considering Clan Wars I read about separate clusters several times. Developers already mentioned that they plan to cover full globe so that Berlin battles are made during Berlin evening timezone and Vladivostok battles are made during Vladivostok evening timezone. If they will make full globe and then put clusters together, or if they will make only Europe and then make some reset or superintense fight, I am not sure. But from what I have read (I apologize, I do not save all the links of things I read) EU, US and Russian release would have separated Clan Wars for some time.
We must be deeply thankful that we are able to test well-made innovative game for so long period of time for FREE. Russian release players PAY money for the same things we are enjoying FREELY.
Let's help developers not only by being raving fans and making 10 threads a day about "Nerf that!", but also by providing them with a stable income, when release is here.
Let's enjoy the Path from MS-1 and Traktor up to newer vehicles.

Link on message: #179913

Tanitha: I agree with sharpeh's post, but a couple of little comments.
On the above bonus. It may seem like a bonus but usually it isn't.
Like for example. You are in a T8+ capable of hitting for 700 damage.
There is a leopard on 10% with about 40hp's left.
You shoot him for 700, but obviously only get paid for 40hp damage. + the small bonus, You are still out of pocket compared to if you hit the tank when it was on 100%.
Also you get paid for critical hits.
So yeah I don't think you will get numbers, just a rough idea of how things work.

Tanitha: There is no automated banning, there is automated reporting, to go
with player reports.
Players automatically reported by the auto system, or reported by players are then looked into by the devs/admin.
In the example above, where a TD killed multiple artillery unprovoked, Id guess the ban would be 5 days first offense, permanent for the second. As for the -5 example above, id guess 5 days -> permanent due to the additional comments. I don't personally consider those light punishments.

As for the topic. There is many many explanations. Andi ts hard to tell which is is. Heres some suggestions.
Penetration etc is partly determined by angle. One tank can be higher, or turned on a angle.
Aiming at different parts of the tank will give different results, Like aiming for air holes, machine gun holes etc.
Different guns, Different ammo types.
Equipment on the tanks, Like spall liner, loaders, etc.
And probably the main one would be crew levels.
Anyway.. Thread locked, and filed into the yank-yard.

In-Game Vehicles\German Vehicles\Heavy Tanks\Engine damage on the VK4502
Link on message: #178945

Link on message: #178945
Tanitha: I'm not sure where the engine is in the Vk4502 really, but I do
know that when a shell hits a tank it doesn't just bounce off,
Sometimes it penetrates and travels into and sometimes right
through the tank. So its very possible to hit a tank in the front
and the shell will travel through the tank and disable the engine
at the back of the tank.
I know they are reducing how much a shell will travel into a tank in a future patch, So this damage will be reduced soon.
So it will be happening less soon.
And yes a VK4502 with a blown engine is difficult to drive. I usually get about 10-12km/h max on the flat, and as low as 1km/h while turning.
