Subject: WG's idea of math is garbage.

PapaBear_3110, on Sep 15 2020 - 10:09, said: Well tankers ..... here's another fine example of why WG's
idea of math is garbage. First they told us that they had a "zero
tolerance" to cheating ..... wrong .... they give the player a
warning first - that is NOT a zero tolerance. Zero tolerance in any
other language means that if someone cheats (with zero tolerance
rules) means that if a player is caught he is immediately banned.
The second example of WG's twisted math is that they claim you will
get 15% credit bonus for fighting in a
platoon. WRONG. They only give 10% credit bonus. It
seems that WG will almost go to any level to squeeze money out
of the players. Change the equipment on lower tier tanks .......
and charge money for any "new" type of equipment that is available.
When they ignore players that raise objections to the game changes
they ignored them or try to smooth it over by handing out a pile of
low tier tanks under the title "Tenth Anniversary" rewards. Most of
them are garbage and (of course) you have to spend money on them to
put equipment and consumables (if not crew training as well). They
raise the cost of premium ammo, create new premium tanks (even if
they don't have tracks), create a new line of double barreled tanks
(which never existed), and lie about the platoon bonus. New
players beware ..... WG will use any tactic to sell you premium
tanks, premium time, and premium currency (gold) and they will
stoop to any level to bleed you of as much money as they can. Like
I've said numerous times ..... "Welcome to War Gaming ..... and
leave your wallet at the door." Player Support will tell you that
they don't force anyone to buy anything, but they
continue to ram that crap called "Combat Intelligence" down your
throat at every opportunity to sell something and with what seems
like almost at the end of every battle. No,
they don't force you ..... but they do everything to make
the game difficult enough that without spending money on something
(be it premium time, tanks, or gold) you won't progress very far up
the tech trees ... or in battles. (I won't be the surprised if this
post gets removed by WG ........ only because it's the damned truth
and they won't like it.) WG has proven on numerous occasions
that "caveat emptor" (let the buyer beware) applies here
more than ever. They (WG) are out for themselves and don't care
what the players may think or want. They have proven that time and
time again over the years. Good luck (new) tankers .......
you're going to need it (as well as a deep wallet).

PapaBear_3110 KRZYBooP: Here are some details about the math you question.
"If you have a couple of friends you want to play with, Platoons are exactly what you’re looking for. Aside from the fun of playing in a team, all platoon members earn 10% more XP and credits - or 15% for the members who own a World of Tanks Premium Account - per battle. A platoon consists of either two or three players and can be created by any player. Platoons are available for Standard Battles, Encounters, Assault, Grand Battles, and the Frontline mode."Source. WG hits them with more than a warning for cheating. Unless you have been hit for cheating you probably won't know 100%. Fairplay bans are a thing, and the number is real. Equipment:
"All Tier I–III equipment will be demounted for free and automatically moved to the Depot. The only exception is Enhanced Suspension for Tier II–III tanks. "Most equipment that was removed was replaced with a better version for players to equip. Improved Hardening, Turbo, and Grousers are a few examples.
You didn't have to unequip and re-equip some equipment since all you had to do was drag or right-click and select the proper slot if you wanted the extra boost.
Source. Many player objections are the same as Community objections. Most objections are handled by WG with Data. It takes a lot more than some negative feedback on one or two forum threads. In addition, to almost every complaint the dev team is working on it. You may see these as Ignored, but it's difficult to give updates on the implementation of 100 different ideas that are found to be bad ideas for the game/ not able to implement. One thing you can be certain of is that WG is never done changing the game. There were 7 low tier Premium tanks that all players were given, with the chance to unlock the 8th one. The last two are the free premium tanks both new, and any repeat tanks were compensated with credits and anniversary tokens to help unlock the 8th. Source. Double Barrelled tanks are in history as being developed/ tested but never created. What a fun age we live in where a video game can put these "what if" tanks up against the ones that really existed, as well as having nations that never fought against each other see how each nation's tanks stack up. Please remember that this is a game inspired by history and is an arcade shooter, not a simulation.
Source.
I couldn't find any specific data that shows WG increased the prices of all ammo/ premium ammo. I do know that some tanks' ability to earn credits have been changed over the years. In addition, The credit value for all ammo types goes up considerably depending on what tier you play. Tier 10 is not meant/ nor was it ever meant to be profitable. This is done to keep players filtering down into lower more "profitable" tiers so everyone isn't staying in tier 10. Yes, some of it is money-driven since players download a AAA title game for free, with no additional ads or 100% guaranteed wins that can only be purchased with money. This is also why premium time is something for players to buy to help with playing the game. Free to play games always have in-game buying options to allow players to dedicate as little or as much as they want. You don't wanna spend 60 on a tank, well here are some offers for players to purchase any amount of premium time to help out with playing the game and unlocking tanks.
Not to mention all the free events that give out boosters, consumables, equipment, and sometimes even tanks. The skill level for events varies from easy dailies to our Marathons. If you don't play a lot of tanks then you can grind for a day to get a discount on the premium tank. Then there are the contests and events from the community team that gives away codes and more free stuff for the players that would like to follow and engage with us. Many issues with "Buyer Beware" are compensated, taken care of, or put in bold for players to see before they commit. I have seen the support tickets and done some fixing myself. Not everything is possible, but support does it's best.
Nope, Moderators don't take down Feedback posts from players as long as they aren't filled with death threats, hate speech or has too many expletives.
Hopefully, the above is taken as me trying to assist and clarify. Not trying to upset anyone, and if you have any additional information I am not aware of feel free to share it. I did the best I could with what I know and google, but I haven't been on here as long as others.

They said they were working on it and then nothing happened for a while. Then the double barreled tanks came out but it was not the same mechanic. It would be nice if you had one button to toggle control between the different turrets. I think that would be a nice mechanic to add to WoT. For example, you have the 75mm on the Maus that you can switch to after firing your main 128mm. Say you roll low and fail to kill an arty, switch to the 75mm and finish him off. Or if you miss an EBR you can have a second chance.

Einzelganger7:
Indeed, that is in fact how I imagined it could work, Being able to use one at a time instead of both cannons simultaneously and to keep things balanced I suppose the 75mm cannon could be with the exact same stats as the L/70 from the VK 30.02 M, 150mm pen and 135 damage. It would be used exclusively for lightly armored targets or to keep enemies tracked. Also while we have the 75mm operational the reload of the main 128mm could be like 20% slower since both loaders would be busy on each cannon instead of both working on the 128mm.

tier 9 and even some tier 10s with the turret, also yesterday I
finally bought the Tiger Porsche and got the Ace tanker on the
third match, maybe for how bad it performs for most players but I
didn't felt it like a terrible vehicle aside of the low DPM. Also
to me and many others, the E-75 has been one of the best heavy
tanks, maybe even the best on the tier 9 after the buffs so yeah,
German heavy tanks are not fool proof but they are not bad either.

crushingly tiresome watching pickup teams of apparently
clueless newbies do paralytically stupid crap. It would
seem the player base has become so thoroughly polluted with
legions of egregiously - even contemptuously - incompetent players
that most battles are no longer a matter of which team plays
better, but merely a contest to see which team is slightly less
incomprehensibly stupid. Wargaming's emphasis on simplifying
the grind - via Personal Reserves, Blueprints, endless EXP
multipliers and etc. - makes it so much easier for "casual" players
to reach tiers 8 and up that they have effectively neutered
any incentive to understand the finer points of the game and try to
improve your play to maximize your benefit in the in-game economy;
basically, they've dumbed down the game to the point where
WASD and left click are all the average player thinks they
need to know (though I would contend there are a fair few of them
incapable of managing even that)... I've enjoyed a
dispiriting win rate over the past few days, but that's neither
here nor there; my very green win rate has been very green for the
past several thousand battles and will no doubt remain so over the
next thousand, due to my own limitations - intellectual,
temperamental and physical. Yet the teams of late -
whether mine or the enemy - are so densely populated by the
clueless that they are falling apart around me faster than I can
react, with a persistence that makes it all feel damned
futile... Tier 7 lights running without camo and sniping from
the TD line; mediums camping out beside the base or around arty;
heavies ignoring the meta en masse and flocking to one ineffective
corner or another, or floundering about in open fields with three
enemy arty zeroing in on them; lemming trains of 13 players that
flock to one flank and hide behind the same rock when faced with
two enemy tanks, ad infinitum... and here I am trying my
damnedest to turn the tide but it makes no bloody
difference; 3 out of 4 battles are little more than a
grotesque pantomime of idiocy, with practically no relief... Most
players apparently cannot comprehend the ammo or armor mechanics,
they certainly don't understand the vision mechanics, and they have
zero map knowledge... Where once the grossly stupid were the
exception, I feel that over the past year or so they have become
the rule. Ultimately, the majority of today's players seem to think
they're playing a throw-away game of Checkers when they are
actually involved in team match of 3D Chess, a game they appear
constitutionally and intellectually unprepared to play.
Which ever side you're on, playing with or against this
level of stupidity does not make for a good time. When there were
only a couple of of seriously clueless players on either team every
few battles, it was manageable; but with so many failing their way
to the top these days, it's clear that the anti-skill "play for
funz" and troll contingents are the ones defining the rhythm of the
game. Whether winning or losing, these games just aren't
satisfying, and I'm beginning feel like this game has hit the
tipping point; the quality of the player base is the worst it's
ever been, and playing with legions of players who are so
unconcerned with actually trying to play well is simply
frustrating.

I think it's pretty
obvious that the quality of play in randoms - especially in
higher tiers - has been declining the past year or more and
it's taking a toll... I personally am finding it
crushingly tiresome watching pickup teams of apparently
clueless newbies do paralytically stupid crap. It would
seem the player base has become so thoroughly polluted with
legions of egregiously - even contemptuously - incompetent players
that most battles are no longer a matter of which team plays
better, but merely a contest to see which team is slightly less
incomprehensibly stupid. Wargaming's emphasis on simplifying

a win in another game to save my life. It also happens to be a team
game, but I only had to rely on two randoms instead of 14.

the Equipment 2.0 POST. Equipment whose class will change
compared to the current vehicle type will be indicated with a

This equipment will be sent to the Depot at the start of Update

Radio range and in auto spotting distance you will not be able to
see the tank.
More factors like render distance, camo value vs. spotting score are also things taken into consideration.

when wargaming balances based on #feelz then we have dumb
decisions like murozor putting in the pre-nerf 268v4... I
know this doesn't align with bad player narrative, but too
bad. For those muppets that insist that tracked LTs dont'
have a chance vs wheeled, I offer the following exhibits.
1700 battles in the ELC Even 90 - all during the wheeled era, all
but ~20 or so were solo. over 60% solo win rate. ~450 battles
in the LHMTV. a "bad scout" by most everyone's
agreement. all during the EBR era. I actually only got
the thing to do Alliance missions including Alliance 15 for the
279e. I kept it because it has some unique challenges and
solo it at ~56% LT 432 - yeah, it's "over powered" - but how is
that possible when clearly wheelies are more over powered?
430 battles solo at 58% LTTB. I had played this sparingly,
originally as a tier 7. I bought it back early in 2020 to
complete Union 15 for the 279e, with a fresh crew. Played it
quite a bit after getting it back and dragged the win rate UP from
~51% to ~57% this year alone, now at 57% My tier 9 LTs such as the
Amx 1390, T54LTWT, Ru 251 have all been played semi-regularly in
the world of wheelies and all continued to maintain their
historical win rates over 56%. The only one that dropped was
the T49, running the Derp. anyway, here's what a
wargaming balancing curve looks like. even above average
players in the EBR 105 can't maintain their overall win rate in
it. they have bad DPM, and the majority of maps are too small
for them to even be relevant in most battles. for average
players and below, it's a much worse story.
The only wheeled
cart that is currently over performing is the premium, which
underperforms for average and below average players, but is very
strong still for above average and good players. (e.g.
for most of the player base it's still relatively balanced)
are they broken to a
degree and annoying? no dispute. but my experience is
that the majority of times they die off really early in a battle
and/or are most often easily played around. even in "bad
LTs". whereas arty is broken, and annoying for the entire battle -
unless a yolo wheelie gets through and kills them... for
those of you that whinge that it's impossible to scout in anything
other than a wheeled vehicle, I submit that the problem lies
between your chair and keyboard.
