in previous tournaments, since that affects their team rating.

Players group, and we've got a draw for Day 2 in which we should
smash every team we face. I imagine that our 45 opponents today
will be very unhappy at finding a team with our skills in the
so-called New Players group. I don't know what you
"intended", but putting teams into categories not of their
choosing, agreement, or understanding seems unlikely to achieve any
worthwhile intended goals to me.

our admin side. Your team is in the New Team group because
there are player(s) that have little to no tournament battles on
their record, from March 2016 to the present. As far as the system
is concerned, you're a new team. As your player(s) participate in
more tournaments, you will move out of the New Team category. So
yes, as far as the system is concerned, it is working correctly.
As I mentioned, a New Team isn't defined by any of the
normal statistics that you are used to - it is based 100% on
tournament statistics. Play more tournaments, increase the rating
and be in a different group.

Link on message: #10470510
PaTriK1996, on Oct 11 2016 - 13:34, said: how about day2?which groups are standard and which are premium?dance210: Day 2 says which groups are associated with each prize. E.g.
Premium Group = Groups 10 - 22. I will likely do this for each day,
since not everyone looks at the forums. As
mentioned earlier, we have decided not to release the exact
formula. It works similar to the ranking system used by CS:GO, for
those familiar with the system. Basically, player ranks decrease or
increase depending on how the they do against their opponents in
each tournament. The team rank is based upon the players who are
part of that team. It does not include any random battle/Clan
Wars/team battle etc. data - that includes WN8, win rate, Personal
Rating. Groups are designed so that teams have approximately
the same rating, plus or minus a certain percent. This should
generally lead to more balanced matches within a group. Since
player ratings can increase and decrease, team rating will also
vary from tournament to tournament, allowing teams to move and face
other opponents. As for the player and/or team ranks.
Currently, we have no way to display that data.
Testing. This matchmaking system has been tested, to work out any
issues before the official release. We are continuing to monitor it
during these tournaments, to ensure that things are working as
intended. Prizing. It was decided to vary the prizing
between the different categories. Yes, that means that the teams in
the Premium groups can earn greater daily prizes and potentially
better overall prizes. This is intentional, in the same way that we
have given teams that sign up for a higher tier a larger prize than
lower tiers (e.g. past escalation tournaments, Call to Arms clan
tournaments). For all future tournaments, the prizing can
remain the same between all groups if this is considered unfair.
This is the one and only warning. Whether upset or
happy about the matchmaking system, play nice with each other and
stop the insults. If they continue, I am perfectly willing to lock
this thread and allow no further discussion. That's not what I
want, since I am reading all the feedback, but insulting each other
won't be tolerated. Thanks and good luck to all the teams tonight.

different game. There are a lot of tactics to use, when going up
against different tanks. You need to know the strengths and

those with the same problem. Every match seems to have at least
four tanks sitting at the start waiting for fps/ping to stabilize
to a very laggy level. Or they are just trying to go and running
into each other. There's rubber banding, and sometimes the
entire screen will shift and jerk, to the point of giving you
vertigo. Dramamine please. No mods, no xvm, complete lowest
graphic settings, turned off damage monitor and even tank info..
I've followed so many tips that do nothing for this. Defrag,
reboot, reset router.. etc. etc. I ran the WG Diagnostics and the
only notification was " ! extraneous files", with a blank window
beside it. I know I didn't play 28k battles with 1 fps and 999 ping
and my pc did not just turn into a pumpkin on patch day. No problem
anywhere else to date. So now I just tried a clean install.
No change. Also finally figured out the installer has to be run as
administrator or it's no go for the download. That was an hour and
half wasted. Scouts or fast meds can't be where they should be if
they start the battle so far behind everyone else, but it's just as
bad for slow tanks/tds that need to move now to get in position.
You should also notice the enemy is so late showing up, you'll
think they all went lemming to the opposite side of the map.
Tried to get others to post here about this, I think they're too
shy, or maybe they've had enough. When I post "1fps 999 ping"
in battle chat upon battle start, I get "Affirmative!" at least
twice or more.

are your mods. You updated the client, but not your mods. It
usually takes some time for the mod developer to update and have it

packs are a collection of mods. Not all of them will be
updated and will still cause issues with the game client. Now that
you have updated to the latest version of Aslains you are now
crashing less that's because it's a more stable version than its
predecessor. Mods don't help your system run World of Tanks, they
add more processes to an already process heavy game. It makes it
difficult for us to investigate the actual causes of unwanted
client behavior when mods are present. ***As I stated,
WITHOUT mods, CTD was occurring every 3-5 matches (to me, that's
unplayable)...WITH mod, CTD occurs much less frequently.
Trust me, I am very familiar w/how long it takes some modders
to update their product and I patiently wait, dealing w/the vanilla
client until such time that I can update the modpack. Aslain
has in the past been very quick to ID, then disable broken aspects
of his pack (one of the main reasons I utilize his collection
versus some others). 2) I know of an intermittent issue of
the client reopening after closing out of the game, but it is
usually stopped when you end the game's process through Task
Manager. Do you keep your crash logs or Windows event logs?
*** It's not intermittent if after every crash, the game
relaunches. Also, I shouldn't have to have TM up and running
to terminate processes that fail to terminate themselves 3)
WargamingGameUpdater.exe is not World of Tanks. It's an updater
file that keeps World of Tanks up to date. ***
You are correct WGU.exe is not WoT but why is it running
outside of WoT? Prior to 9.16, this line item was never seen
in my TM. And again, why is it running when WoT isnt?
And why will it not stay off?? I see no need for it to
be running 24/7, with or without WoT active. 4) This sounds
like a combination of latency + XVM. Do you have a replay where I
can review what you're seeing? *** I don't keep
replays, so not able to share my experience with you. I keep
XVM updated regularly, which fixed the "mini-map" issue,
thankfully, because that was really annoying.

replays, so not able to share my experience with you. I keep
XVM updated regularly, which fixed the "mini-map" issue,
thankfully, because that was really annoying.Saffr0n: Please confirm that you cleaned out the World of Tanks
directory of all mods before you updated to 9.16. Deleting the
outdated mod isn't the same thing. You have to uninstall it from
the directory. If you can't confirm this then you still had
outdated mod files in the World of Tanks directory, which still has
an effect on the client and will cause crashing. You stated that
you keep XVM updated regularly, which fixed the "mini-map" issue.
The minimap bug (the one that reverts minimap size for every
battle) is caused by an outdated version of XVM, which has
been confirmed by us and many in the mod community. If you were
experiencing this issue then you were running outdated mods on the
World of Tanks client. I wasn't inviting a debate, I really
want to take a look at your crash logs and event logs. Like I said,
I am aware of a particular issue, you're describing something
different so I need to have a look at those logs. We
introduced an option to keep the client updated. If you don't want
this option opt out in the launcher. This would be the least of
your worries since the updater isn't process heavy at all. Turn on
replays for 1 battle, I just need one to review.

Revision ID: 0x0000 Here's a bunch of things from dxdiag. I've been trying to test this out on my laptop. If you choose Standard graphics or the low graphic setting preset then the option for track traces is removed, my guess is to make it friendlier for low-end systems. You can enable this function by choosing the medium graphic preset or improved graphics. If you want to lower some graphic settings then you can customize by choosing the medium graphic preset then lowering the shaders. Some questions about your laptop: Did you upgrade to Win10 or is that OEM? Do you still control the graphic settings using Catalyst? If you're still unable to get track traces

Game crashes sporadically...entering battle or when
engaged w/multiple targets at close range. Was every 3
battles or so prior to installing Aslains. Now maybe 1 in 15
battles or so. 2) Additionally with CTD, it seems after
9.15, IF the game crashed, WoT automatically restarted to login
screen. Since 9.16, restart is still auto attempted but fails
because WoT is still running according to Task
Manager (TM used to terminate instance, then manual
restart usually works...till the next crash). Also, when
exiting the game via the "gear" option, WoT is still shown as
running in TM. 3) "WargamingGameUpdater.exe" is displayed as
running in Task Manager, constantly. Even if WoT is NOT
running. Killing the process works but then that .exe shows
back up a few mins later. WHY?? 4) Sixth Sense seems
to be hit or miss now (with or without Aslain's installed).
Just a few little quirks we have to work around to continue playing
the game we love.

little tedious to constantly reclick on garage first after each
match to swap tanks or to pick one to play after returning to
garage from match. 0 mods installed I am using the 2 level
vehicle panel option. This only started happening since
9.16.
Edit to clarify- that it doesn't even let me hit esc to bring up the menu. I have to click on garage at which point it says "Loading Interface" before I can do anything else, can't even spin tank.

It happens without warning and has cost me six games by

have all the new stuff shut off and have set my graphics to low.
It still happens. How do I know its the game and not my
keyboard? The day before 9.16 was loaded I played a specific
map (Fiery Salient) and all was fine. Then came 9.16. During the
game I froze and locked up six times on the same map, same game.
I reduced things and only froze four times in the next game.
Then I shut off the idiot damage markers and freezes after
being hit dropped markedly, Finally I set everything to low,
making the game look cheap and only froze twice. Since this
appears to be completely acceptable to others, I've decided that as
soon as I run out of gold I'll quit the game. It's not fun
anymore; it's a pain in the neck. Those of you who still play,
remember; this game will continue to be "Improved" until only those
with new computers boosted to the max in graphics will be able to
play it. Then it will die. I won't be there for that.
I'll go find something else to play.

Just a few little quirks we have to work around to continue playing
the game we love. Saffr0n: 1) You may not like this answer, but your usual suspects
are your mods. You updated the client, but not your mods. It
usually takes some time for the mod developer to update and have it
be compatible with the latest version. Even if they update, mod
packs are a collection of mods.
2) I know of an
intermittent issue of the client reopening after closing out of the
game, but it is usually stopped when you end the game's process
through Task Manager. Do you keep your crash logs or Windows event
logs? 3) WargamingGameUpdater.exe is not World of
Tanks. It's an updater file that keeps World of Tanks up to
date. 4) This sounds like a combination of latency +
XVM. Do you have a replay where I can review what you're
seeing?

The_Chieftain: I don't think there is very much doubt that the US Army of the 70s
was not the best organisation it has ever been. It is commonly
accepted that it took until the 1980s for the US Army to regain its
sense of pride and self reputation. That said, I am
unconvinced that the quality of the soldier was particularly at
fault in Vietnam. Again, the typical US fighting man came out the
better than his opponent. The problem in Vietnam was not related to
military capability. The attitude of soldiers may have had some
relevance, though. Even today's soldiers often haven't figured it

multipliers. It already was winning pretty much every military
engagement it was involved in. What technology cannot do is build
relationships and trust with people, and in Vietnam, Iraq, etc, the
people were the center of gravity to fight over, not the hardware
or military manpower. You need to have enough troops on the ground
to be able to do that, and they have to be well trained enough to
hold their own. speaking of, watched Jadotville last night.
Not bad. Some good laughs that probably only Irishmen would get,

clanwars lock times are shifted from 1st carrousel screen to actual
carrousel screen (almost as if instead of being absolute to the
carrousel they became relative), when moving the screen away from
the "wrong" timed tanks and then comming back the indicators go
back to normal. +When minimizing login screen in fullscreen mode
(with video animation playing) and comming back the video gets
played on fast forward (as if the frames were stored in memory and
then quickly played) (might be due to my old 660ti tho)

your client?

install with all settings in terms of detail on high, and a
performance-to-quality balance of maybe 60/40, my roadwheels hugged
the terrain. But now after the update, with all of the same
graphical settings, they don't. And it's the only feel of realism I
get from the game. I wish there was more control over some of the
details because I don't think the animation for roadwheels would be
of concern for low-end PCs and laptops.

Wednesday. We didn't include it in our bug report because it has no
ill effect to the game client. Copy + Paste functionality is still
possible, but it's visual notification of the lasso field into the
clipboard is the issue. Despite this, you can use shortcut commands
(Ctrl + C) (Ctrl + V) from the game client into excel or within
excel. I'll ask the developers to look into it. Just keep in mind
that their main focus is game functionality.
