Check out the eSports calendar!  A player has two ways to register for the Platournaments! When you create the team, make sure that you are using the correct registration!Register as a Team! Registration works the same as normal. Team captain makes a team and recruits players to join. A complete team has 3 - 4 players. Captains do not need to submit their team; all teams with the minimum number of players will be accepted. The team is now ready to fight once the tournament starts! Register as a Solo player or as part of a Party! A party is a group of players that does not meet the minimum team size requirements. Create a team. Teams do not need to be confirmed; all players will be accepted for the Solo/Party Registration. Once registration has closed, the player will be combined with other solo player(s) and/or a party to form a complete team After registration has closed, players are encouraged to check back to find their new team!  So how do you register as a solo player? It's easy! When you create a team, there will be Registration Option with a drop down menu. Simply switch from Register Team to Register Solo and you are ready to go!

Yoott:   Exact Rumble time is being worked out but its safe to say it will almost the full day Saturday the 19th just based on number of teams and matches needed to be played.

I've never witnessed any of the things you are mentioning in your post, so if you would like to continue that discussion through PM's I am certainly willing to listen to what you have to say and investigate any issues that you would like to bring to my attention. Wargaming as a company is not in any way directly affiliated with WoT Labs.

dance210:   Teams and players didn't stay in the same group all week; it varied depending on their performance and the number of teams that registered each day.

NyxWGA: We are not directly associated with WoT Labs. Citing the fact that our employee's visit their site is like citing the fact that they also visit Reddit. We do not have any control over the website in any way because we do not in any way directly sponsor or support them. We go to that site and do at times interact there, in the same way that we also go to Reddit and interact there. On neither of these sites do we have any concrete way to exercise control.

dance210:   The finals standings are located here.   Thank you zazel for posting our PM. As I stated to him, Zombie Kills were only credited to those players who placed 1st - 5th in the New Team and Standard groups, and 1st - 6th for those in the Premium group. No where was it stated that players who placed outside those positions would be credited with Zombie Kills for the Overall Prize. Congratulations to everyone who received a tank.

dance210:   Yes, that is generally how these overall prizes are calculated. If you placed 1st-5th in New Team or Standard and 1st-6th in Premium than you were credited with Zombie Kills. If you were outside of that range, you weren't included in the Zombie Kill calculations. A player needed to have earned at least one Zombie Kill to be included.

The_Chieftain:   Two errors there. Firstly, the presumption that the proposition banning single-use bags only applies to plastic bags. It does not. The prohibition applies to paper bags as well, and it's why he didn't say 'plastic bags' in his post. Secondly, an apparent error that the 'to the government' proposition applies to those same bags which were subject to banning. They are not. That prop goes for the sale of the bags which would be mandatory if the single-use ban took effect.

dance210:   I don't know how to stop the spam notifications about final placement, but I can turn off all final placement notifications. Since the 1v1s are the only tournaments that seem to spam notifications, I've decided to keep them off for now. Good should be going out today for the TD 1v1

dance210: Good morning dexatrin82   I will admit that finding out via the forums that the entire tournament section stopped working isn't exactly how I wanted to wake up. It's also not something that I knew was going to happen, or I would have mentioned it.   Good news/bad news. Bad news - no tournaments are showing on the Portal, sigh. Good news - the tournaments are still active on the admin site, meaning all the data and teams are still there, just not accessible to the players. If people need any roster changes while the site is borked, feel free to message tournaments@wargamingamerica.com or shoot me a PM with all the info (team name, player name(s)) and I'll see if I can make the changes on the admin side.   I am trying to figure out what happened and how it can be fixed ASAP, although it's still a bit early for most in the NA office to be awake.   I apologize for the inconvenience and hope to get this figured out and resolved as quickly as I can :/

The_Chieftain: It's a very tough call, but if you have the first 120, you're probably best going for the engine next. One thing this tank does very well is mobility, for a heavy. I would not skip the top gun on the way to the E5, though.

The_Chieftain: I'm back in California, now.  Was doing a solid for the Tokyo office, GuP related.

Unlike most companies, which puts people in business class over a certain length flight, in practice WG works on "privilege of rank". However,  they aren't hard-arses about it, and have paid co-pay for upgrades. I have to provide the miles, but since I get most of them at the company's expense anyway, it s not unreasonable.  So,for every, say, Trans Atlantic trip, there's a good chance I'll go business eastbound, which is the direction you want to sleep, and it's exit row economy Westbound, which isn't too horrible as you want to stay awake. Plus I still make a small profit of air miles.  The big issue is that if the flight ends up with business class fully sold, upgrades don't happen, which can be an issue of I have to be functional upon arrival. I try to pick my flights with the "available seats" map in mind.

As to the Challenge Coin, it's been kicked around for a while, but I have never been able to come up with a good award criterion.

I was at a Japanese whiskey lounge in SF a while back, the 180 dollar bottle did't appeal particularly more than my "standard" Bushmill's. The 5,000 dollar bottle, I have no idea what supposed value you get from it. Suffice to say, I did not ask for a sample.

I recall seeing one of those multi hundred dollar steaks in Vegas, in Mandalay Bay. 6oz. For that price, it had better have been some Tibetan village's sacred cow, hand fed the finest feed, killed at the full moon of the Winter Solstice, flown to the US on a private charter, and then served by a virgin maiden. At least.

Yay economy class. Eleven hours to go. (Still on the ramp)

The_Chieftain: Dratt, you are generally correct. That said, there is such support on the Japanese client. However, when we made the GUP agreement, we weren't sure how popular it was going to be, so the contract was for Japan only. We're considering the possibility of making it a global one, which would allow support of such things on NA, amongst others. Like any other commercial agreement, is the benefit in NA  worth the cost?   i can name at least five new tanks, of which four are "production" vehicles, not prototypes.   unfortunately, I have been told I can't reveal much of my dinner conversation. Though apparently the Finnish embassy watches the show, as they called up to let the company know that they had chosen male names for their girls. apparently also there is all of one good kantele player in Japan.

The_Chieftain: I haven't seen any noghri in any of the Thrawn clips.   Jet lagged to all hell. Will take Tue off, I think. I usually don't but once in a while I need to reset.

The_Chieftain: I might ditch the head now for two reasons.   Firstly, it's a little impractical to keep the head down when saluting as you're walking. Helps to be able to see where you're going. Secondly, if head-bowing is done by a subordinate in that culture, how does the superior return the salute?

Mezurashi: The T-50-2 was a favorite of mine when I was still in the Asia server. Fun times were had.
