Why are we kicking C-Wars battles back an hour?
You can look at most of my posts and I'm pretty understanding of logistics issues with WoT implementation and will defend from baseless ignorant attacks..
However, our battle last night was pushed back 45 minutes, and we figured it was because it was the first night with all the random location landings.. but WHY is it pushed back again tonight, and for an hour?
It's getting ridiculous, we have players that made adjustments to their schedule so they could participate, and now with it kicked back (for an hour) 30 minutes before the original time, these players can't participate.
If it is to lower the server population(and lag), can you stagger the scheduled times in the first place?

There is no way this problem would have lasted this long on the Russian server.
Overlord - stop treating your paying customers like idiots, and drop the attitude in your posts. Acknowledge that the problem exists, that the people that pay your bills are having issues, and at least give us some indication of a. what has gone wrong; b. what you are doing; and c. how long it will take.
Your customers are angry at the lack of communication, and your company's failure to accept responsibility for a problem of your making (even if it is ISP related - you chose the cheapest ISP, hence the problem rests with Wargaming). You dont have the customer loyalty that many other MMOs have, and considering how little realistic content your game has (how many times can you play campinovka), I would be looking to be keeping your paying customers happy until they have formed a deeper connection with your product, and are therefore less likely to rage quit when things like this happen.

It was global and affected all players.
Excuse me, but what kind of acknowledgement is required, create a banner for it? We know there is a problem, and the work on it is in progress. Unfortunately the previous solution had only partial effect.

Overlord: The release of v.6.4 update led to the increase in the amount of
traffic and some unexpected changes in its structure what affected
previously stable network connections. The lag issue on the US
server is local however hurts a huge region of Eastern United
States (and all related traffic that goes through it). The servers
in data center are working fine and their capacity is sufficient
for the time being.
We have run a few tests that showed no packet loss or any other kind of instability from our side.

There are some connectivity issues with local ISP (Charlotte router):
ae-4-4.car1.Charlotte1.Level3.net
ae-11-11.car2.Charlotte1.Level3.net
They have already been contacted and the problem has been extended to the senior provider.
Though the issue is not directly on our side we apologize for the inconvenience caused and will do our best to fix it as soon as it is possible.

Can I get a clarification to this paragraph in your Clan Wars Guide, its in the Overview, number 4:
What does that mean? Is it?:
1. That means that everyday you want an account to count towards your chip total, that account needs to participate in a Tier V tank battle everyday.
or
2. Once that account plays at least one match in a tier V tank, as long as they remain in your clan, that account will always count towards your chip total?
Thanks in advance for the clarification, a bunch of us in our clan are confused about what counts, daily or once and forever.
Thanks

do you think that the "majority" of players would be "forced" to
play at 4am??
Assuming that the majority of players are American, then logically the majority of clans are ALSO American, and therefore the majority of owned areas would naturally be set to a "prime time" favoring that area of the world!
Tempest_au, on 20 May 2011 - 04:42 PM, said: "Prime Time"
We need to allow "Prime Time" for any area to be set by the clan which has ownership of the area. This way the "defending clan" can set the battle time to what is most convenient for them. The developers could even stipulate a "fee" for setting/changing the prime time (say 500 gold) to siphon gold out of the game, and prevent clans from changing the "prime time" for that area unnecessarily.
Tempest_au, on 20 May 2011 - 05:57 PM, said: Again, you seem to have not even read my post. Changing the "prime
time" for an area would of course be OPTIONAL. If you wanted to
leave them at the current prime time, it would cost you nothing
(just like now). If you are able to field a defensive force during
the week in that time slot, more power to you!

The developers could even stipulate a "fee" for setting/changing the prime time (say 500 gold) to siphon gold out of the game, and prevent clans from changing the "prime time" for that area unnecessarily.
Tanitha: IE.. A non NA clan, is most commonly in about the +8 timezone.
Which covers west Australia, china, and some of Asia and some of
Russia etc.. But there is also decent numbers in +7 and +10.
So a +8 clan, like the 503 Drill comp winners. Claims land. Changes the "primetime" to 7pm their time, IE a suitable time for them.
For all the west USA clans to take that land now, they would have to fight at 5am their time. Or 8am for east usa.
IE the land would then be at a unsuitable time for the majority of players. Unless you put in another fee for them to change the time back. But then the time would still be in USA time, just both clans have payed 500 gold for nothing. One paid 500 to change it, one paying 500 to change it back.
I did read your suggestion, and its about being about to change the time of the battles to something that suits your timezone, thus making it not suit usa's timezone.

Tanitha: Its not a matter of being able to field a defensive force or not,
we fielded enough to take 5 pieces of land yesterday with the main
clan and 3-4 with the reserve clans.
The point to me is, that most players in Oceania cant play at the current USA timezones. Paying 500 gold to swap the time to a time not suitable to usa players, isn't a viable option imo,

Tanitha: As above, the point should be getting the Clan game playable to
Oceania players. Which is isn't atm for most in oceania due to them
works during the day. To make the game available to Oceania
players, your suggesting a 500 gold fee to swap the land to Aus
prime-times, so its no longer at a suitable time for the majority
of players.
I'm not twisting anything to shoot your suggestion down, I just dont think your suggestion is good for the Oceania players most of who work during the day, because they would be paying a lot of gold to change the battle times (Land often changes hands, new land is gained old land is lost). And I dont think its good for the USA players at it swaps land to a time that isn't at a suitable time for them, so either they could never attack it, or would have to pay as well to swap it back.
EG, clan has 5 pieces of land, you attack their capital, win, then pay 500 gold to change its "peak time" to a time not suitable for them.
So after reading your post several times, I just cant see it being "good" for anyone.
If the overall point is to make land available for the Oceania timezone, then its much easier IMO to put land in, at the Oceania timezone.
Which is what we will end up eventually anyway, A whole world map, Russians, euro's and USA's servers playing on that map, and each bit of land having its own timezone.
Until then we need a bridge to keep the Oceania players going.

making money? Do you have to play, for example, tanks from tiers 5

Answer: Tier 8 and up and yes you will need tanks to feed your higher tiers premium alone will only break you even.
Second, if there is no such tipping point, does rising through the tiers actually involve simply upping the stakes? As in, at higher tiers, do you run the risk of losing a lot more credits, compared to lower tiers ?
Answer: Oh yes....it can be very expensive if your not taking it seriously. Ammo, repairs, consumables...Oh yeah.
Example: IS7 costs up to 25,000 to repair, around $1,200 a shell, and up to 500,000 for rammers and such.

What is the easiest way to earn lots of credits and experience?
ARGO: Having many tanks elited or premium is the easiest way. The more
tanks you havemeans the more daily doubles "1st battle bonuses" you
can earn. Sure it will cost gold to convert that EXP but when you
are trying to go up the ladder "or multiple ones" like I do, you
will need all the EXP you can get. Remember though, Don't stray to
far off over the tier Vs or VIs, things start to get pricey on
repairs and gold the farther you go up. Here is a list of descent
money makers for starters:
Any Gold Premium Tanks
Hetzer
StugIII
SU-85
SU-100
VK3601H
SPGs tier 6 and under "any tree"
Any Sherman tanks
I am sure there are more, but these have done me right so I am sharing the wealth with you. I hope this helps.

Tanitha: Hi, IMO making (forcing) the majority of players (IE usa players)
to play at 4am, isnt a good options.
Neither is making the Oceania clans pay 3500 gold a day just to play clanwars. (yes we had 7 landgrabs yesterday) and will probably continue to do so daily.
Having to drop 24 hours notice is bad too. Atm we can drop tokens a hour before battles are scheduled.
5000 gold to drop tokens with less than 24 hours notice, would cost us 35,000 gold a day at our current rate.
I understand you are trying to help the people in the Oceania timezone.
But you would probably be best pushing for a section of land in the oceania timezone like is being done here.

there is mention of them in several places, but not enough clues as to how to be one.
i hope that its an actual lack of information on the developers part and not a lack of intelligence on my part.

Clans\Ultimate Conquest\Ultimate Conquest Q&A

b4dkarm4, on 19 May 2011 - 04:33 PM, said: I read on the clan war page "You can move your forces only to
nearby provinces every 24 turns. Once chips are moved they become
inactive for the next 23 turns. "
Can we get some clarification on this? Assuming that an example clan has 45 team members (3 groups of 15 tanks) Does this mean that:
1. Each clan can only make one move every 24 hrs?
-or-
2. Each group of 15 tanks can only move once every 24 hrs? (multiple groups of 15 for some clans so multiple moves per clan) example clan would have 3 moves they can make.
I apologize for going a little bit off topic, but you guys need to have someone rewrite the clan wars page, its very hard to read.
