Vallter: I want to remind you also, that, as it was stated in the first MVP
topic, every new MVP is a new set of rules, that might change next
time on the base of your feedback and the event entries submitted.
For this event it is so. But we will remove this point, when we
will repeat it.

Something like who gets the highest XP for each individual tanks of his top 3 matches...within a week, not just 1 day see who is the luckiest.
Confederation contest is really asking people to hold the killing shot while try to shoot as many different enemies as possible. Obviously the winner will have to do that in order to be the winner. Normal game play trying to kill the enemies will not get you the win position in this contest.

Q:How many vehicles can we submit?
A:You can submit up to 3 battles, so you can use up to 3 different vehicles. Or play all battles using just one.
Q:Does "hits" include killing blows as points as long as you still get Confederate? I mean, does, say, 2 kills and 6 damaged count as 8 points, or does it have to be 0 kills and 8 damages?
A:There is a 'Hit the Target' figure on the 'Personal Achievements' (2nd) post battle tab. Each hit listed there counts as a point.
Q:So i only have 1 SPG (SU-5), and i can only send 3 battle results? i should send 1,2 and 3 battles i participate or i can choose which to send? Like 1,4,7 or not?
A:The best ones you can get, doesn't need to be 3 in a row.
Q:What do you mean by 'getting Reaper achievment', do we need to get in the same match?
A:We mean get the 'Reaper' achievement for the vehicle.
Q:Why do players have to submit those screenshots by themselves?Considering how much info is stored in WOT database, isn't it more simple and reliable to track results with an additional database script?
A:Because finding more ratings than listed here is not possible atm. And we want to reward some different styles of gameplay. But we are planning to make a daily renewed and rewarded in-game ratings.
Q:And... since there is no way to prove you got reaper at the same level or under your current state of reaper... people who have't got the award before are at an advantage in thie competition. Complete bollocks really... who the hell is making these events up?
A:The major part is done be Vallter means me and I think it's fair, so new holders (with no skills, that greatly helps skilled players) will have a little advantage.

!!added on the 4th of August!!- The 'Death from above' will be judged in two sub-categories - Tier 3-4 SPG and Tier 5-6 SPG. Players may participate only in one. If you have already submitted results for the 'Death from above category with mixed vehicles, you enter the sub-category, in which you made more battles. Also you may resubmit 1 battle, which was made out of your sub-category. For this either change the post yourself or send me the request via PM with links on new battle included in it.
How does it works: For example, player A submitted 2 battles with Tier 3 SPG and 1 battle with Tier 5 SPG. He enters Tier 3-4 sub-category and he is able to replace battle with Tier 5 SPG by battle with Tier 3 SPG.
- For the ‘Confederate’ category Tier 4-7 Tank Destroyers are allowed (SU-85B, Hetzer, T-40, SU-85, Stug III, M-10 Wolverine, SU-100, JagdPz IV, M36 Slugger, SU-152 Jagdpanther, T25 AT);

Attention! If after reading the rules, you have some doubts or questions, feel free to ask in the discussion topic. Your questions will be added to the special F.A.Q. section of rules.
Important notes about the contest:
- Every player takes part in the event;
- Player with the biggest amount of MVP points wins;
- MVP Points earning rules are specific for each category;
- Players can submit up to 3 battle results for each category, each battle result must include the end battle window screenshot and the garage with the end battle pop-up message screenshot (see the example);
- The only change permitted to be implemented on screenshots is the concealment of gold, credits and free XP amount on the garage screenshot (see First Battle garage screenshot in the example).
- Training, company and clan wars battles won’t be considered;
- To take a screenshot press Ctrl+PrtScr. If your keyboard does not have such keys, you are advised to use any free software. They all are saved in the general in-game folder;
Example of a submission:
'Scouts' category
First battle, 1 killed, 2 damaged, battle won, status:dead :

Second battle, 0 killed, 2 damaged, battle won, status: survived :

Third battle, 3 killed, 1 damaged, battle won, status: survived :

- Players can participate in 2 different categories: ‘Death from above’ and ‘Confederate’;
- For the ‘Death from above’ Tier 3 – 6 vehicles are allowed (SU-26, Sturmpanzer II, Wespe, М37, SU-5, Grille, M7 Priest, SU-8, Hummel, M41, SU-14, S-51, GW-Panther, M12);
- The ‘Death from above’ category has following rules for earning the points:
Players receive two point for each killed and one point for each damaged enemy in the end battle window. This amount is doubled, if the player’s team wins and the player survives. Also participants receive an additional 9 points for the ‘Reaper’ achievement;
- For the ‘Confederate’ category Tier 4-7 Tank Destroyers are allowed (SU-85B, Hetzer, T-40, SU-85, Stug III, M-10 Wolverine, SU-100, JagdPz IV, M36 Slugger, SU-152 Jagdpanther, T25 AT);
- The ‘Confederate’ category has the following rules for earning points:
The battle result will be counted only if player receives ‘Confederate’ battle hero achievement. Each hit dealt by player’s tank counts as an MVP Point;
- All contest entries (battle results) are to be submitted before 23.59 UTC (11.59pm UTC) of the 4th of August;
- The same player can win in more than one category.
Winners in each category will be awarded 3,000 Gold, the second place will bring you 2,500 Gold and the third prize-holder will enjoy 2,000 Gold.
F.A.Q.
Attention! The Administration reserves the right to cancel or prolong the event.
P.S. To help ensure the competitions are fun and no user violates forum rules or brings inconveniences to other players, the event sections are strictly moderated.

ARGO: This may sound a bit cold, but welcome to online gaming. You will
find that guy of whom you speak in every online game there is and
the sad part is.....You can't do a thing. You can't reason with
them, you cannot bargain with them, You can't TK them "Or you get
in trouble". All you can do is get through the match and remember
the guys name so you avoid him. That is a game troll and he has
only selfish ideas on how to play. Even posting complaints about
those kind of people only create more of the type because they
think it's funny.....Well at least until it happens to them. The
one aspect of ANY game is that no matter how many rules you make,
or how many patches or programs you create to try to keep it fair,
you will always have that bunch of bad apples who's idea of fun is
ruining your game. And no patch in the universe can abate the human
factor out of the mix.
Ways to avoid these people or at least make things better for you:
1. Don't feed them by yelling at them.
2. Don't lower your self to their level by TKing "That's what they want, free EXP from you and me.
3. Run Platoons or Companies, the more of you, the less of them.
4. Always keep a finger on you Print Screen button, Who knows, He might mess up.
5. If you the center of his attention, make sure you put the genius on "ignor" in both game and forums so you won't have to deal with his idea of intellect.
6. And most inportant, If things get bad let support know and make sure you have you proof "screenies".

Onyx, on 01 August 2011 - 10:49 PM, said: I have a few questions I would like answered.
1) I have noticed repeatedly in an anecdotal fashion, though with enough consistency to at least warrant questioning, that when a base is captured, the time it takes for the game to end appears to be random. For instance, it could take 3 seconds to cap, or I've seen what feels like 10 seconds between cap and victory. My questions are:
1a) Is this actually the case that the time between cap and victory isn't pre-set and, if so, why?
1b) If they are intentionally not pre-set to allow for an overtime system to allow for more draw conditions, why is there no consistency in the extra time added at the end of the battle?
1c) Can you please consider either eliminating this extra time to prevent draw conditions except for if time runs out, or consider allowing for overtime until every capper on the enemy base has been hit at least once or they cap-out the base?
2) On the same subject, is there any reason why the cap has to progress to 101 effectively or, more specifically, go to "100", and then "100!" afterwards to "lock" the cap? This seems illogical to me and I can't count the times a base cap hit 100 only to be reset, and this wording is very misleading.
3) On another subject, I noticed something strange. When I had died in a map while platooned with a friend, I watched his IS-3 as he played and noticed him fighting 2 tanks. Of the shots he received, at least 3 hits were bounces against his tank. However, after he died from the battle, he commented that he didn't bounce any of the shots, and I had to rebuke him since I saw 3 shots clearly bounced or ricochetted. My question is, is this an issue of the client not always being informed as to what's happening on their own tank, or are these "ghost bounces" an issue on the observers end? This seems rather important as, if tanks aren't properly informed of how often they bounce shots, the tank can especially feel like it has paper armor.
3a) Perhaps consider adding an after-battle statistic on the number of shots bounced or otherwise ricochetted?
4) Malinovka. Everyone hates it, and most people generally hate it for its pace and how campy it forces you to be. So, I have 2 questions. First, what is the average game-length of Malinovka by comparison to other maps and,
4A) Are there any plans to touch up Malinovka to make it less frustrating and improve the pace?
5) Is there something wrong with the hit box of the underside of tanks? I've noticed time and again when shooting a tank cresting a hill that shooting unto the underbelly of a tank often results in a bounce, despite this area historically being the weakest part of the tank. Is this working as intended?

Overlord: 1. The time is randomized to some extent. Each time you destroy an
enemy tank, the timer is reset. Not planning to change this
mechanics currently.
2. To give the other team some time to shoot the capture counter down.
3. It may be so that you friend missed or misunderstood smth, or visual effects misled you, since they are not accurate and cant really show whether the shell penetrated or bounced. Difficult to say.
4. It will be changed in due time. For now it is considered to be acceptable.
5. No, everything is ok.

You obviously have NEVER done ANY beta testing properly. All we are doing is testing the new tanks/map to see if they are balanced properly. We don't get anything for it, but a say in if the tank is balanced how we like. Once the patch is released, the testing server is shut down and wiped. ((normally))
And people, the first post says this, so why keep asking.
NOTHING YOU DO ON THE TEST SERVER WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE MAIN GAME.
And i like the patch, just increase the bottom plate on the E-100 since it is extremely easy to hit, and VERY THIN.

Hypnotik: We let them get 2? That'll have to change.

Heres why:
I shot a T1 point blank with upgraded gw panther gun in td mode. no damage. i pull back. s-51 with upgraded gun scores direct hit on it. no damage.
i shoot t1 heavy multiple times in my arty from above, NO DAMAGE HALF OF THE TIME! i safely screw everything ecept them..... bug or just a dev joke?
edit: honestly -1's? are you people insane? im just asking why a t5 tank can take shots the butcher tier 8 and 9.... and for hem to fix it

bounced....I also shot a RAMII in Himmelsdorf again at point blank
range and bounce 3 off him...3!!! It happens, people get lucky
