GeneralDirection: Hey folks,
Please take this debate to another thread. I'm going to be cleaning up the posts to remove it from the Q&A thread. The official stance is that we are not willing to give tips on how to bypass government laws. While it's great that you're that passionate about playing World of Tanks, we don't want you to risk going to jail over it.

GeneralDirection: We'll be rolling out updates to existing maps over time, since it's
going to require updating textures, lighting objects, etc. But
we're aiming for the first map updates in 8.0.

with the 100. There is a significant ammo cost difference to

When your base is being over run, and your the closest tank, Would you rather have a rat's chance on stopping that cap or no chance because your just to slow?
Yes, those items can make a difference when used properly.

the night you joined, unless you played your first night on the EU
server.
There has been ~24k online every night regularly.
While NA's peak numbers aren't as high as Europe, the NA server caters to an international player base on a large range of timezones. Where as EU are mostly all online in peak Eu times.
For example: NA server numbers are a lot higher on NA off peak times than EU server numbers are in Eu peak times for example.

amount of artillery in games should be reduced a lot.
The amount of artillery within the 7,.5 test at the moment is very low, but then again its a test server so these figures don't mean much.
2. The game crash issue effecting some players has been addressed within 7.5, you can check this out on the public test server if you wish.
Now we are working on a hotfix to help those few affected players before 7.5 is released.
3. Its a ever evolving on-line game, Improving things like the matchmaker, cant come without tweaks and balances on a tank level.
4. The matchmaker received some major adjustments for 7.5, to follow on from the adjustments in 7.4
5. 0 damage hits is something which imo could still be improved. but some of these issues come from tracks being hit which doesn't damage the tank.
And also spaced armor, IE multi levels of armoring. So its possible to penetrate the first or second level of armor, without penetrating the tank itself.
See 1:46 in the video.

Tan.

GeneralDirection: We would have to significantly revamp crew transfers if it was
easier to skill up in low tier vehicles than in higher tiers, since
you could simply move a crewman from one to the other by
retraining. So we probably won't do something like that.
But we are looking at ways of speeding up crew skill advancement, now that there are so many skills. We agree it's too tedious right now.

1.) When is the nickname change going to be possible again?
ZuluBravo, on Jun 20 2012 - 02:06, said: 2.) Are there going to be more ways to customize your tanks other
than camouflages? For example, different equipment that visually
change your tanks and makes them more unique.
Also, maybe a custom letter and number combinations that make your tank even more unique (sort of like tank unit markings).
ZuluBravo, on Jun 20 2012 - 02:06, said: 3.) Maybe allowing players to paint their own tanks (for gold)
which would be visible by all. Not pink and other non-tank colors,
of course.
Lensar, on Jun 20 2012 - 21:44, said: When a match reaches it's conclusion, it ends abruptly, showing the
results screen and stopping all player chat. This prevents people
from talking about the match, making plans to platoon up with
people for the next match, as well as prevents any trash talking or
other obnoxiousness. This seems like a conscious design decision.
Is it and if so, why?
Bonus comment: In my opinion, the lack of post-match-chat greatly dimishes community building in the game. The ability to chat about a shared experience is an important aspect of connecting with your fellow gamers and can lead to a more engaging game experience for all. As it is now, in any given public match I never expect to see or hear from any of he people I am playing with ever again. And even if I did, I probably wouldn't remember because the match ends so abruptly that it's easy to forget what just happened as you move onto the next match.

GeneralDirection: The replacements have been found. Now it's all about scheduling it.
I wouldn't expect anything in the next few updates.
XenomorphZZ, on Jun 19 2012 - 17:06, said: http://www.theverge....eships-to-worldIn that interview, there is an image of the clanwars map that seems to be seperating tiers limits based on gold income...
Is this true? Or is this an old concept image?
GeneralDirection: That's an old concept image. Not sure why it's included.
ZuluBravo, on Jun 20 2012 - 02:06, said: Hello Developers,I just have 3 quick questions:
1.) When is the nickname change going to be possible again?
GeneralDirection: It's something we're working on, but I don't have an ETA.
GeneralDirection: Yes, there will be ways to customize the tank beyond camouflage.
More details on that to come. We're still finalizing it.
ZuluBravo, on Jun 20 2012 - 02:06, said: 3.) Maybe allowing players to paint their own tanks (for gold)
which would be visible by all. Not pink and other non-tank colors,
of course.GeneralDirection: Painting isn't something we currently have planned; the camouflage
system is supposed to fit into that form of customization.
Is it and if so, why?Bonus comment: In my opinion, the lack of post-match-chat greatly dimishes community building in the game.
GeneralDirection: It's not a conscious design decision. We're evaluating ways to
address that.
Prayer, on Jun 21 2012 - 18:10, said: Will the type 59 ever come back to market?GeneralDirection: Yep, we will be bringing it back to the gift shop at some point
soon.
WarStore, on Jun 22 2012 - 05:33, said: Devs, can you explain me how a shell can go through the enemy tank,
without damaging it, and hit an allied tank behind the enemy?I know it happened to me other times, but here is the proof.
http://www.wot-repla...01210.wotreplay
GeneralDirection: Sure: the shot penetrated the tank in a way that did not hit any
internal modules or crew members. It was able to create an exit
hole that allowed it to hit something behind it. Unfortunately that
hit on the ally did hit something that caused damage.
itoktohateme, on Jun 22 2012 - 17:35, said: when will you make the new game modes and option? they are not fun
with a random grouping of players in random grouping of tanks.
please make these new modes availble for tank companies where you
can have a large grouping of players and make the modes fun.. as is
they are terrible and unplayable with pubs.GeneralDirection: We're aiming for the version update after 7.5 for this. The feature
is in development now.
danedeath, on Jun 22 2012 - 17:44, said: when will the red screen in sniper mode be fixed....GeneralDirection: We hopefully have nailed this down in 7.5. Please check out the
public test.
PzmkIV, on Jun 24 2012 - 19:30, said: When you going to fix it so the Cliff Hugging guys stop driven 50+

General76, on Jun 26 2012 - 22:42, said: Hello Wargaming,My Question is it shows up in the clan commander panel that we can change the clan name/tag for 1000 gold. when we try it tho it says feature disabled during beta. so my question is can we expect this feature to be implemented this year in a future update. it would be a major help if it is released.
GeneralDirection: I unfortunately don't have an ETA on this.
QJW, on Jul 03 2012 - 04:58, said: so Vallter will the M41A3 Bulldog be ever introduced into the game

are being "directly heard" but the reality is most of the game
designers do not speak English--or very little--and so they prefer
to communicate in a language they are comfortable with speaking. So
we compile feedback and the team in Minsk translates it before
sending it to the design team.

SSG was a wonderful clan, full of nice people, teamwork and participation tended to be high despite times of low morale. from my eyes it all seemed perfect until it log back onto WoT to find i wasent a clan member no more, i checked on the WoT website, i couldent even find our clan name, so what went wrong? did it get taken down by the clan itself or from the WoT admins? if so for what reason?
now im certain somebody will either troll or think im crazy. but SSG was the first clan i had ever been in, i met them a couple of months after WoT went live (clan wars came three months later, (i only remember april 12 as the day WoT went live)
now this part i dont blame you if this sounds crazy but seeing SSG is honestly saddening to me.
so if anybody from the clan sees this, please respond.
