The_Chieftain:   Actually, the real vehicle does have a thinner lower front plate. And for what it's worth, my LOS tool tells me that it's about the same equivalent thickness as the vertical front plate anyway.

Hypnotik: This is a great video for players who are starting to get into the more strategic aspects of World of Tanks (even some of the more veteran players), and an excellent foundation for all those who haven't quite made it to that point yet.   Thanks Mac for making this video, it's sure to help out plenty of players take their game to the next level. I'll be looking forward to the next one.

The_Chieftain: My -guess- is that there are several layers to this.   Firstly, why are they considered 'the most skilled players'? Because of their effect on the battlefield, obviously. There are several reasons that they have this effect. Firstly, they inherently have some talent and skill. Secondly, they often platoon together with other players of talent and skill, the whole being better than the sum of their parts. And thirdly, they tend to play tanks which have the greatest effect on the battlefield. I think it is reasonable to say that an arty player who is just as good at arty as a unicum is at playing a medium is not going to have the same overall effectiveness on the map (Not as if arties often show up in tournaments, after all). A platoon of three of the best arty players in the game is probably far less likely to be on the winning team when a platoon of the three best medium players in the game is on the other side. So immediately the sample used here is biased. The unicums have honed their skill in direct-fire combat and gravitated against artillery to begin with in order to gain unicum status. So there is an immediate pre-disposition against arty right off the bat. They see little benefit to it, and primarily their interactions tend to be on the receiving end. As far as they're concerned, it's a nuisance to their primary task of direct fire combat, at which they excel.   That's not to say that they don't know how to survive in an artillery environment, nor that they can't use artillery either themselves or to call in support. But for them, as a rule, it's less of a benefit, and more of a detriment to their own game. I may not be as good as a unicum with a medium (I almost only solo-pub), but a good trooper knows his limitations and uses all the tools at his disposal. That includes artillery support. I'm glad it's there.

You can enter as many teams as you like even if from the same clan but players can only be in ONE league roster at any time.(clans help with organization and finding other teammates but are not required)  2. The_Chieftain: Working on the M10 chapter of my book, I came across this paragraph in an AAR from Camp Hood, with a paragraph about the 1-ton Platoon Ammunition Trailer:   "Whoever suggested this vehicle be towed by the last destroyer had a good idea, but he never tried it in the field! The Training Brigade flatly refuses to permit this in the future. Every time it is done, they have to repair or salvage the trailer. The wheeled trailer is torn to pieces by the rough handling it receives, to say nothing of the heat and dirt of the M10's exhaust which is blown against the front end of the trailer"

Changes have been made to this weeks Rules see here http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/355676-world-of-tanks-mashup/page__st__40__pid__7097250#entry7097250   Team Pairings are NOT changing --- See Pairings here http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/354937-world-of-tanks-mashup-standings/page__pid__7113220#entry7113220   What is changing is its now 4 v 4 with 2 reserves no required minimum of players in battle and 32 tier points maximum.     Now here are some items to clear up any confusions --    If your matched up team does not show for the battles then right before your team enters battle when the SB window is open and countdown is near end take a screen pic and send it in to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com and your team will not be penalized (losing week 1 winnings or being kicked from week 2) for a no show however your partners will be ineligible to receive any gold for week 1 or 2    and as a side suggestion  (insulting them and then trying to contact them will decrease the chances they care to talk with you so after reading some of how you guys have treated some of your new teammates I can't blame them at all for ignoring you completely so knock it off or you will be removed from the tournament as well)    Since there is no minimum of players in a battle anymore this means you also need to SHOW UP even if you think your matched partners will not.... any team that wins by a technical WIN should screen shot it and send in the pics to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com   Any teams reported for not showing up will be ineligible for any prizing from week 1 and week 2.   If you have shown up correctly for all your matches in Week 2 as required then you will be eligible for your week 1 winnings, if not, or if you have been reported and shown to have a tech loss due to you not showing, all prizes are forfeit.
