Trailer, Ammunition and Fuel. Part 2.

The_Chieftain: Working on the M10 chapter of my book, I came across this paragraph in an AAR from Camp Hood, with a paragraph about the 1-ton Platoon Ammunition Trailer:   "Whoever suggested this vehicle be towed by the last destroyer had a good idea, but he never tried it in the field! The Training Brigade flatly refuses to permit this in the future. Every time it is done, they have to repair or salvage the trailer. The wheeled trailer is torn to pieces by the rough handling it receives, to say nothing of the heat and dirt of the M10's exhaust which is blown against the front end of the trailer"
