Subject: [ S T ] M-IV-Y enters the supertest!
Link on message: #12917034
Link on message: #12917034
KRZYBooP: Howdy Boom Jockeys!
Soon, the M-IV-Y, a Tier VIII
American heavy tank, is coming to the Supertest. This is a Premium
representative of the Yoh branch in the U.S. Tech Tree: vehicles
that feature the new reserve track mechanic. Starting from Tier
VII, these vehicles have an additional track attached to the main
one. This allows the vehicles of the Yoh branch to continue moving
(although with a speed penalty) even if both main tracks are
destroyed. This Tier VIII Premium vehicle is armed with a
105 mm gun that can cause 360 points of damage per shot.
The penetration value of the main AP shell is 218 mm, and the
penetration value of the special APCR shell is 247 mm. The
aiming time is 2.5 s, and the gun dispersion is 0.4 m.
The reload time is 11.3 s.The thickness of the frontal
armoring reaches 279 mm in the turret and 177 mm in the
hull, but don't forget about the rational angles and the turret
shape, which add to the overall protection of the vehicle. The
vehicle's durability is 1,500 HP. The vehicle, which has a
specific power of 18.1 h.p./t, has a top speed of 42
km/h.In terms of gameplay, the M-IV-Y is a typical heavy
tank—armored, moderately maneuverable, and has a good gun. At the
same time, don't forget about the reserve track and the influence
it will have on the vehicle's playstyle. For a new player, this
feature will mainly be protection against a failure that
facilitates escape from a seemingly stalemate situation, while for
an experienced player, the combination of armor and the ability to
move even with a destroyed track can open up new combat technics,
even if they are risky.

requirement tells you all you need to know about the player base of
WoT. We're basically people that can't hack it in a game that takes
real skill. Otherwise, we'd all be doing it and making bank.
Saying you're not interested in making millions is simply an

Link on message: #12916671

DeviouslyCursed: This is delusional, sorry. Only the top player/team has a
chance to make millions, so just because someone chooses not to
compete doesn't necessarily mean they can't. Being competitive
takes a lot of time and investment, which doesn't always guarantee
a return. Placing 5th or lower in the world and you basically have
to have an actual job to pay the bills, and hope you can improve
enough at some point to make some actual money. Also, having a
family pretty much excludes a person unless they don't give a crap
about spending any time with them.

a good question and I can't really think of a reason WG has a RNG.
It to generate revenue is the only thing I can think of at the
moment. The RNG makes a player strive and grind for that next
bigger better tank. It's another level of challenge. Although
unfair in my opinion sometimes, that's the way it is. I'm cool with
that as it works both ways.
DeviouslyCursed, on Sep 14 2021 - 17:56, said: RNG is needed. Without RNG Dispersion is a meaningless stat.
Without RNG Aim Time is a meaningless stat. This also makes all
soft stats that affect Dispersion and Aim Time meaningless, such as
accuracy when moving, after firing, etc. This also invalidates all
crew skills and equipment that modify these parameters.
Also, without RNG Penetration and Armor are very nearly meaningless
stats (you either can or can't pen the weakest spot on the tank you
are facing, any other armor values are pointless). The game
would be impossible to balance without RNG. It is at the core of
the game, and they can't do away with it. Why don't people
understand this? And yes, RNG numbers are pre-rolled. That
has been a known fact for quite a while. And if the game is
programmed efficiently, the RNG numbers can be used for all random
rolls, including determination for module hits and fires, etc. The
game would not know what roll was for what case, it just uses the
next number in the line when it needs a random result.

off of because it's so dependent on the population playing the
tank.Just look at the GSOR. Highest winrate for a tier 9 LT, but it
is an absolute steaming pile of [edited]. In this instance,
the only people getting the 777 are the ones who are dedicated and
have ground out most of the other tanks. That kind of dedication is
more likely to translate to player skill. The 777 isn't a bad
tank per say. I've played it. But it has some issues:If you're
playing it as a semi-mobile heavium, you'd be better off in the
T-10, AMX M4 51, or WZ-111 1-4.If you're playing it to sidescrape
(which is kind of its strength), you're better off in the E75.Plus,
when sidescraping, no matter what you do you're showing a weakspot.
The only reason that's not taken more advantage of is because
people aren't entirely aware of how to pen them.So it's not a bad
tank, but it's only a semi-mobile tank with a ton of weakspots in
the armor and a kind of unreliable gun. It's far from the
best.

the Char Futur. They're the two best options. The AE Phase 1

opinion. I prefer the Conqueror, Concept 1B, and AMX M4 51 over
it. The Char Futur is quite a solid tank, although strange.
It's definitely not easy to play. It is quite interesting though,
and definitely solid in the right hands. Picking between those
two is up to personal preference in my opinion. Make the
choice between the two based on which playstyle you
prefer. Next would be the Kunze Panzer, then the Obj 777 II,
and then the K-91 PT.

doing very well and performing excellent. Anyone can be
proficient at artillery, and perform reasonably especially if their
other classes tend to do very poorly. A complete and utterly
lost klutz, clown, can not understand game foundation and
mechanics, positions and maps, HP value, personal role and
responsibility, and deal 1-2-shots of damage and die doing nothing
else all battle in the first 3:00 of it......in light, medium,
heavy, TD tanks. The very same person in an artillery
will live for much more than 3:00 in the corner of a map near
spawn, just pointing and clicking the reds without much to
think or fear, and will typically do much more than 2-shots of
damage. Typically more than 3x their HP worth, actually easily.
They can't get even close to this in actual tanks But to be
excellent and constantly ace wanker artillery, 3-Mark artillery, it
is very hard and lengthy because of factors the player cannot
control. Why even bother discussing artillery if you
cannot even explain it well enough as to what it is and what
it does, and how it works typically.

Draschel: I even left out reasons, the long queue times and far
more team reliance required. These are all valid concerns. This
isn't an arty bash thread. Read the post.

simple solution is to either do the missions or don't. Oh
that's really, "fair", to the artillery players who enjoy playing
that class. Do you ever think about anyone else in the world other
than yourself? At least this was posted in the wrong
section.

Draschel: instead of the automatic ignorant gang-saying
retorts you typically resort to as comments, can't you at
least first read the post and understand what is meant and as
to what you are replying to? It is not a hard feat. Word by word
guys, just read. OP is not resenting artillery, as a class. He
is saying it is unfair to do these missions compared to other
classes b/c::A) arty is nerfed so commonly and the missions
required usually are not lowered alongside said nerfsB)
arty does not have provisionary premium vehicles to make grinding
artillery missions more pleasantC) arty has far fewer tech lines
that seem to go on-track fewer than other classesD) arty has
far fewer tech lines that rob of diversity for completing missions
compared to other classes He isn't bashing arty. Read the
post. He is asking for fair appraisal of arty missions compared to
other classes, or remove them because they are treated
worse.

TragicLoss: Heyo! We've been working up until the line. With COVID
restrictions, traveling to Canada has been an "if".
Our attendance has been the only thing up in the air though! Aquino has been set to run for at least a month or more.
