Cheeka: Third-party glance at E3 and WOT

admin: The third day at E3 Expo was the brightest and the most impressive, with lots of people crowding by World of Tanks Booth. Newly-minted WoT fans came earlier this day, hoping to play WoT more and hit best scores set on previous days.
Visitors got into the spirit of the championship and took their turn several times, believing that this time they will improve their results for sure and will win Wargaming.net prizes. It stands to mention that a hand-designed laptop by Origin was awarded for taking first place, iPad2 for taking second place and a set of gaming accessories was given for taking third place (headphones, mouse and pad).
The struggle was very tough and complicated as players kept in mind all useful information provided during developers' master class, held on the second day of E3 Expo. The rapid course was conducted for a reason since E3 warriors played at high level, improving their results at every turn.

Meanwhile, the leading WoT showman enlivened the show and rejoiced our comers with first-rate performance full of jokes and tempting actions. He did a great job, keeping up the public interest and commenting on what was happening at World of Tanks Booth. The top awesome moment of the day, Apogee of the day so to say, arised when he climbed onto the tank and started  throwing T-shirts and other souvenir relics by World of Tanks into the enormous crowd of visitors, who were already chanting "We love World of Tanks" at the top of their voice!
While other booths had to settle for the dispersing swarm of people, World of Tanks was filled with gamers and representatives of gaming leading companies till the last minute.
Finally, on the last day at E3 Expo developers had a photo session at the Booth, and each pic displays perfectly all the positive emotions that the team experienced during this thrilling and surely inspiring exposition. Wargaming.net developers love their work and are deeply interested in the in-game warfare of World of Tanks, doing their best to brighten the game day by day.

Although the nominees and winners haven't been announced yet, we are glad to share our first award - Best of E3 2011: Hidden Gem that we received from GamePro Magazine. The development team expresses gratitude to all players of World of Tanks, it is you, who made it all possible! We will make every single effort to please you more and make the game a perfect place of pastime! Can't give any ETA on Stug. As for the exact design, 3 options with different probabilities have already been posted earlier.

Overlord: Map used for one of the two neighbouring provinces is chosen randomly.

Overlord: E100 has been modeled recently. It will get Maus and Krupp turrets to mount 12.8 and 15 cm guns respectively. This tank wont be a copy of Maus, apart from having very good armoring, it will be rather agile. Plus 15 cm shotgun is going to bring certain diversity.

Overlord: Each server has its own database, choose the one that suits you best and play on it.

Despite the relatively high cost of the ticket to the exhibition and b to b orientation of the Expo, it has gathered a huge amount of people. Many of them became acquainted with the World of Tanks for the first time, but there were lots of visitors who came straight for the tanks.

Thus Wargaming.net stand was full of people all the time – it was surrounded by the experienced players of WoT and by crowds of visitors who were eager to learn the basics of the game.  Wargaming.net stand is brightly presented; its organic and interesting design draws attention of every passer-by.

The most amazing part of the stand is the glorious Hetzer - people study it with great interest and make pics with him in the background.


What is more, there are always men in WWII military uniform standing by its side who tell interesting historical facts and stories.  And any person can get the answer to any question regarding the general historical data of the tank and military history. Two other tanks - Sherman and T34 – are parked outside the main entrance of the Expo, attracting the attention of people passing by.

The first day of the exhibition was more than successful; many people received souvenirs from World of Tanks team. The key event at the WoT stand was the tournament, organized for all visitors of WoT stand - anyone could register for the tournament and fight for the unique prizes: brand-new laptop by Origin was given to taking the first place, iPad2 was awarded for taking second place and various gaming hardware was presented for the third place, such as mouse, keyboard or headphones.

Moreover, all the visitors were given a huge pack of different gifts by World of Tanks: T-shirts, pens, flasks, promotional cards and etc.
The tournament attracted a huge number of people, it lasted for four hours! At the end of the tournament all data have been processed and the players with the highest number of experience points, gained in three attempts, received their prizes, while the enormous crowd at the stand applauded them. And many of them did feel the tank power and became true World of Tanks fans!
E3. Day 2
The second day at the E3 Expo was no less interesting, as the Mass Media and players got extremely interested in World of Tanks project.

The second day also gave visitors the chance to fight for the prizes of the tournament.

And the stand was full of people willing to prove that they are best players and are the only ones to get the prizes!

More than that, many of them came earlier to practice before the tournament. Obviously the tournament was same successful as during the first day at E3, with lots of cheerful participants, wonderful prizes and surely, loads of pure happy emotions!

This day the development team held a series of master classes where they explained the basics of the game: they showed how to operate as a team member and how to coordinate allies. Each type of the in-game tanks was theoretically and specifically described by Wargaming staff members. The new-born players followed the actions of developers with great interest, and that led to the great as well as improved results!
The maximum result of the first day was 1567 points of un-doubled experience, whereas the second day showed up 2050 un-doubled experience points, guaranteeing its winning owner a gift laptop!
Wargaming.net and its epic World of Tanks continue their notable march in Los Angeles, with new fans joining its army.

In this regard, we ask all our players who have worked with us for a long time since the Closed Beta Test and till release of World of Tanks, to be patient and tolerant to E3 players, as they only make their first steps in the battlefields of World of Tanks but do their best to play well.
