Ectar: Yeah this thread isn't going to continue. If you see
someone breaking the rules in-game, report it. If you're
looking at screenshots of something from a blog article over 6
months ago that doesn't show when the screenshots were
taken (or shows what happens as a result of those screenshots
being reported to Wargaming), I'd advise you to chill out. The last
time a clan or certain players were in the spotlight like this, I
did my own investigating and the screenshot quotes happened
months before they were posts online and the players had already
been sanctioned by Wargaming. One player in fact was already perma
chat banned. We'll aways take action against rule breakers
provided they are reported to us. - Ectar

any match, win lose or draw). Again I have to stress that
October will still have regular bonuses for other nations etc.

available in September as a Marathon. For October it's highly
unlikely also. Whilst I understand some players want to get
this tank for free, many players bought it not too long ago on the
impression it wouldn't be available again any time soon.
Regarding that Storm quote. I'm going to have to ask you for a
source to that. And by a source I don't mean FTR, Armoured Patrol
or Status Report as all three of those blogs don't quote/link the
sources to stuff they post.

in September are available to read on the Asia forums. Tanitha
the Producer there has shared the information way in advance
outside of normal time-scales for announcements. I skipped the part
in the quote about premium vehicles because they're not linked to
the event (You'll know about them separately whenever they
become available). You should know by now we never normally reveal
tank release dates in advance (or how they'll be available).
I don't want to post the October details in advance on the
forums like Tanitha has done because only a small amount of players
will see that information and it's about 4 weeks away. If it
helps calm down the forum regulars who atm seem to be going from
topic to topic sharpening their pitchforks and farming tools, then
yes, I can say Asia and EU are on the same page regarding the
Earning your Stripes event and the respective bonuses related to
that for next month.

Do I tell players it will be possible to get, knowing I can't
say how. (Which will alleviate some frustration) Or do I stay
quiet and say nothing (which helps no one)? Again I tell
players information as soon as I'm able to. Sadly sometimes I'm

game. The fact you have premium time or not on your WG account
doesn't make any difference to the penalties applied. We will never
have a tiered system where players with premium account are treated
separately. Getting banned for a week is a pretty serious
offence and doesn't come from just one or two team kills. Remember
any actions you see from a single player in-game, you have no idea
of his past actions or the frequency of them.

across all our products. You pay for a month's premium time and you
get a month's premium time added from that moment. Premium
time on account is never "suspended/frozen". If you
decide to only play for 2 days it doesn't mean you have 28 days
waiting to be used at a time of your choosing. If you get
yourself banned from World of Tanks due to your actions
in-game, the premium time is still on your account and could be
used in World of Warships or World of Warplanes due the
unified account system. You broke the rules, your
access to the game removed due to punishment. Your actions
in-game have consequences, next time hopefully you'll think
about your actions in-game before breaking our rules.

Paypal. Premium time is not exclusive to a single game and in
this situation the player got exactly what they paid for. They paid

It got buffed ages ago, with a new turret as part of the buff. The
gun is still poo tho.

aside for retail promotion. The package that was initially put
together was for retail in the RU region only. It was always
possible we were going to release a similar package for EU/NA but
we weren't sure if it would work. If the vehicle is offered
in future it's more likely it will be only on special events, and
the price won't be lower. (We can't lower the price as it can't be
made available in a package where it costs much less than the
original retail package).

This topic has been covered multiple times. We made it
available in the past over 3 years ago and it was removed within a
day, It was wrong to have made them available.
Players who pre-ordered these tanks were promised they would not be
available at a later date and we will stick to that. When it comes
to pre order vehicles for Warplanes or Warships, it was made clear
to players who pre-order that those vehicles would only be
exclusive for 1 year. Tanks never had that allowance so the
pre-order vehicles for the EU region will remain exclusive to
players who picked them up during pre-order. It's different
on the RU region because they didn't have a pre-order period, so
they had no prior opportunity to pick up those tanks. Players
joining the EU server after the pre-order period have no
entitlement to these vehicles what so ever. It was a limited time
offer and that limited time has been and gone.

that above statement.... Why the heck don't any of our

Go look at the Wargaming clan and check the average stats
there. If we really could manipulate people's stats then who
do I need to speak to, so I get all the good matche and why am I
being "punished"?
There is no secret settings that can be changed. This
is something people make up because it's easier to blame something
you can't prove, than to accept that perhaps you're not as great as
you think you are at something. It happens in every game out
there. People will always blame their misfortune in-game on
something impossible to prove, because they feel in control that
they have a source/reason for the fail. It's not because of
RNG, it's not because of reaction time, it's not because the other
guy against you might be better.... Far easier to say it's "the
system making you lose". TL;DR There is no secret wargaming

damage/weakspots first and areas like fuel tanks/engines
second. I can't think of a normal game where I would aim for a fuel
tank rather than a known weakspot I can pen (yes I know I'm missing
out). For higher tier German tanks it's still hardcoded into my
head to shoot lower front plates, however for many other tanks I
have no idea specifically where the engine is located on the damage
model (note I say damage model, I know where the actual engines are
on tanks
). It's a mission that
takes you out of your normal mindset for how you approach a match.
The advice up above is good stuff. I'd also recommend not
tunnel visioning on the mission and trying it in batches/limited
attempts so you don't feel overwhelmed.

several reasons: 1) Noone with power in WG reads EU forums 2) If
they did, they would dislike the idea of giving power to the

visible presence by replying to topics. - I along with my fellow
Community Managers and Coordinators from other language teams pass
on weekly feedback from the forums. The moderator has always been
here also. The difference is that the moderators are here to deal
with forum violations and help players follow the rules. They're
not expected to maintain a super active posting presence (as most
of the time they're moderating). Sadly there has been a noticeable
increase in forum violations which take up our moderators time. We
are actively adding new moderators however selecting new moderators
who wish to actually help the community and don't just want to go
on a power trip, isn't as easy as some people think. The LoL
tribunal system has been considered with regards to us having
something similar, what works for one game however doesn't
automatically work for others (otherwise everyone would be using
similar LoL style tribunals).

MarlerudeKinstorm, on 12 August 2015 - 10:40 PM, said: I cant understand why WG is having such a hard time to create a
proper insults & vulgarity filter into their chatsystem. Ectar: You do realise we have one already right? By default
everyone has the chat filter active and they have to manually turn
it off. The forums also have a chat filter. In
the European region we have something like 30 different countries
all with their own swear words. Now when you block a word,
the naughty people who want to use those terms quickly look for
ways around the block. The common method is to add characters
from other languages. Shit becomes Shít by adding an i-acute that's
used in Hungarian Icelandic, Czech and other languages. It's
not a word in those languages but the substitute letter get the
meaning/word across in English. - So if we ban the word
"shit" then have to ban all spelling variants of the words in
the swear filter... for all languages. All of a sudden
totally innocent words in other languages are blocked because of
that. A perfect example being that the French word for grated (as
in grated cheese) which is râpé, is banned because people of
poor judgement who use the term "rape" in game look for ways to
misspell it to get around the word filter. This is all also
before we even get into regional insults within the countries....
We're always looking at how to remove chat toxicity from the
game, however there is limit as to just how much chat can be
censored.
