Tanitha: The forums are playing up at the moment, this might make the loader/updater play up as well.
You don't need to use the loader/updater.
1. You can goto the wot website http://game.worldoftanks.com/update , click downloads, and manually download the game, and all the patches and install them. (if you haven't already) (Current version is 0.5.5.1) (That website doesn't load very well, same problem as the update server)
2. Then run the game with bypassing the loader, by running the wot.exe file directly. (usually in something like c:\games\World_of_Tanks_closed_Beta)
3. Hope that works.

2. I don't have a wot.exe !!! Yes the update server probably went down when you were 1/2 way through updating, leaving you with a messed up install with no wot.exe

Its not much use really lol, a ton of people have already voted with those options not available, now they cant change their vote.

Tanitha: Just reset occasionally to fix a known memory leak, as far as i know.

Then I noticed my name was greyed out, IE dead..
Ive only seen it once. So its not very common. The photo says I had 22% left, from memory I was only shot once and had a fire etc.

Tanitha: Its nice to be able to see what they have already addressed and fixed, in future up and coming patches. Then people don't need to complain about things that are already fixed or due to be fixed..

Tanitha: No need to ask a new player style quick question that most of the 150,000 players can answer, into the devs section.
The devs are very busy trying to pump the game out on time etc and don't need to wade through easy simple questions that non-devs can answer.
To answer your question, making a tank elite, serves two purposes.
1. You can then switch on "speed up crew training", which will then increase your crew at a rate of about 120% of normal. And while doing this your tank no longer gains exp. or..
2. Your exp made in the elite tank can be transferred to free exp with the spending of gold, 1 gold will transfer 25 exp to free exp. Free exp can then be spent on any tank.
As as answered above, a elite tank is a tank with all upgrades researched, including all other tanks its leads too being researched.
There is no increase in pay or performance from a elite tank.
With everything answered, I'll close this, and move it out of the dev section.

Tanitha: The only time Ive seen this problem, people aren't pressing control enter properly.
So....
Press enter to open the chat window.
Type what you want to type.
Press left control and enter to send it to both teams.
White goes to both teams. (sometimes orange)
Green goes to your team.
Fixed your problem?

Tanitha: Try the usual, like updating the graphics card drivers, updating direct x, changing graphic card settings on your control panel, if it installs one. Changing your graphics AA settings in game, setting your computer/windows and in game resolutions to the same resolution. Etc Etc.. It should hopefully just be a matter of changing a setting in something.

Tanitha: If you are having problems with the installer you can bypass it.
I'd guess problems with the installer would be related to firewall's etc.
Reset your comp before doing the below, or control alt delete and manually shut down the running wot file.

Tanitha: All Tier 7 and up are like that. I sold my Panther because I was losing 8000+ creds a battle with it.
Ive never lost money overall in any of my larger tanks.

Occasionally in a bad game it will lose, occasionally in a bad game it will break even, occasionally in a average game it will make a little, and in a good game it will make 20k profit. All in all, more i play the more my balance will go up, slowly.
The main problem people have with the T44's and panthers is they are quick, So people usually charge off and get ahead of the heavies, and run smack into the enemy heavies first. Try guarding the arty for t he first couple of minutes, waiting for the enemy to be scouted, and then going to pick off the lose enemy mediums, then going to catchup to and backup your heavies.

Hotspot shield works and enables you to login to wot via a proxy. Id guess that error is because the school's blocked it with a firewall.

Tanitha: Modules etc that are damaged, don't effect your tanks hit points. So you can still be on full health but have damaged modules that need repairing after battle. The "Remove speed governor" clearly states it damages your engine, Damage that obviously needs repairing after the battle.
Unlike other equipment that is a one use 3k each like the repair kit, With the speed governor its reusable and you pay for the repairs to the engine after the battle, you can use them or not, its up to you.

Tanitha: Exactly, A scouts job is to kill those artillery, And also to scout the enemy so your artillery and higher tanks can kill them.
You get paid highly for all the above.
1. Scouting tanks above your tier = high pay rate.
2. Having tanks above your tier damaged by your team mates, while you are currently scouting them = high pay rate.
3. Killing artillery above your tier = high pay rate.

Tanitha: The 15 v's 15 random battles are a team game.
Balancing is all about "are the teams balanced". Not are all the tanks balanced.
You just have to do your job, and do your part, and your job is not taking on the enemies top tanks and dieing in one shot.
Being a smaller tank, you have the speed to keep out of the way of the enemies bigger tanks.
