LiannaSilverwind: Since July til 1st September softwipe I got IS-4, T-44, SU-14 and Leopard.
After softwipe I got 8.000 gold, IS-7, S-51, Hummel, SU-8, ISU-152 and couple of scouts during the very 2nd September. I have fully researched Jagdpanther and Panther as well. Therefore I'm able to use many gametop vehicles in the game for 2.5 months already.
During last two days I helped my friend for 6 hours. He had only MS-1, Traktor and premium tanks - he is probably too afraid to test "real tanks". In 6 (six) hours I got fully upgraded BT-2, BT-7, A-20, Luchs and Leopard. My CBT experience greatly helped me to gain lots of experience per battle, 65+% win ratio and hopefully helping my team more than hurting it.
My view is we absolutely Need Hard Wipe before release. The reasons I offer are following:
1) Equality for players. New players must officialy have same chance as CBT players. Most people won't enter the project where there are already thousands of players who have top-equipped machines, farming them mercilessly. CBT players will farm them anyway, thanks to their longtime experience in the project, but at least new guys won't face hordes of Tier 8 vehicles on their Tier 4 machines right away, so virtual equality remains.
2) No real time loss. CBT players are already well experienced and able to get top machines in very short period of time. First T10 tanks appeared during Russian release appeared on the 6th (six) day of the release. Ok, those were probably nolifer's machines, but anyway I myself, being total noob, was able to get my T-44 before softwipe without using premium in 3 weeks while having fulltime job at the same time. Therefore regaining machines is very fast period.
3) Beta is Beta. Release is release. I do not understand why people ask for gratifications, privilleges and rewards for spending their time as Beta-tester. We do it because we want to do it, not for rewards. The project is fun, I enjoy my time in it very much, and I hope most of us do so. Every beta ends in wipe. It's absolutely normal for all game projects.
4) Real-life Money. Project needs funding. It's normal. I'll gladly support it. If CBT players retain their machines, they won't invest so much real money into it - because why? They already gained many machines they want and passed certain parts of the game.
5) SW and HW issues. Project evolves, databases expand and change. Data export can be time-consuming and unworthy of real work especially due to Point 4.
6) Boredom. Many CBT veterans feel bored because they already reached everything they wanted, they seek changes, real challenge of the full release - being the first to get top tank, having best win ratio, having most medals etc.
There are people who enjoy reaching the goal, then they switch to another goal.
There are people who enjoy path as much as the goal reaching.
Enjoy the game, both goals and road to them!

Tanitha: The current rules for the clan section are as follows.
1. This section is limited to threads made by clan leaders for the purpose of advertising/promoting their clan, and stating their current recruitment status.
2. As above, this section is NOT for disgruntled ex clan members to complain about clans. If a clan is not to your liking, leave it and quietly move onto another clan, no need for drama. Ex clan member complaints will be removed and dealt with as a off-topic post.
3. Clan's are permitted to post ONE recruiting post into this section. Any more than one post in the recruiting section will lead to the posts being locked and moved to the junkyard. If you need any of your outdated posts locked and moved or merged just pm me the link/s and instructions.
4. Bumping: If your recruiting thread falls off page one, You are welcome to bump it. Its recommended that the bump be constructive, after all pointless one word bumps just look like spam and makes your clan look bad anyway.
5. Pointless obvious bumping of threads that are already on page 1 is not permitted.
6. Native Languages: Using your native language in the clan recruitment section is acceptable. At least until the corresponding official World of Tanks web resources are launched. Be considerate to those forum members who obviously have difficulties in understanding your language and avoid using languages different from English if possible.
Failure to abide by the above rules will result in normal forum penalties being applied.
The above will allow clans that are more actively recruiting new members to stay above the clans that are recruiting more passively.
To reduce the bumping the clan recruiting section has now been set to display 50 posts per page instead of the previous 30.

Tanitha: The current system isn't perfect, id hope and expect there to be a better system in place before release.

Tanitha: They are perma banned after a couple of smaller bans initially. So its effectively the same.
Each case is looked at differently, but its 5day,10day,Perma as a guideline for obvious and repetitive team killers.

Tanitha: Hmm, it said before 175 keys left, now it says "163 Keys remaining!" i don't know if it works or not, but it looks like it does..

Tanitha: Anything might be a virus. So everything is download at your own risk.
This file though is hosted on sourceforge. Its a very common popular website where masses of casual programmers work on making free software. Usually all the code is there for people to examine, and suggest improvements and help finish the program. Similar to a beta : )

It appears to be a drawing program of some sort. So it appears to be a valid reply to the thread and "creativity' section.
Its been rated by 405 users and received 356 thumbs up.
It appears from the forum logs, to have been in production since 2000, so 10 years.
Downloading software is always at the users own risk. And please virus scan anything that is downloaded.
But... the program appears to be legitimate.

If you want to report team kill accidents, chat insults, or another case of violation of the Rules send your application to community@worldoftanks.com. The application should contain the complete description of the accident; nicknames of the parties involved, and attached screenshot. That will help us to consider your reports quicker. Any other ways of reporting are not subject to consideration. Any complaints on forums are regarded as off-topic. Time limitation of players’ reports is 7 days. Complaints about earlier accidents are not subject to consideration.

Tanitha: The game finishes about 10 seconds after you get to 100%. So you need to hold it for that long.
During this 10 seconds, the game continues, if the other team is capping they can finish capping during this time for a draw.

Tanitha: With a low level crew in a stock un-upgraded vehicle, you cant hit much with any accuracy when in either a tank or arty.
Something like a upgraded hummel with a 100% crew though, does quite well with direct fire.

I'll delete your dev post, because the devs read them and we have to try to limit and prioritize what they have to wade through because they are obviously busy with the making of the game.
1. No the skills are reduced when the crew swaps tanks.
2. Ive not noticed, i really only pay attention to the crew's % not their title.

I hope you enjoy and like the game.
During Russian release first Tier 10 tanks appeared on sixth day of release, so it is not as grindy as it seems.
I was able to get my T-44 in 3 weeks in July without premium, while being total n00b, unworthy of real attention. Yes, I have full-time job.
IMHO they should add more "grind" to low tier tanks, because most people forget them after 1-5 battles and go on into middle tiers. These low tier tanks are interesting, fun, and it's pity they are so easily forgotten/thrown away.

Its 2500 gold per month for premium, if you were to pay $1 per gold, thats $2,500 per month? to play WoT?
Its a nice game and all, but $2,500 a month is too pricey for me lol.
The russian server is currently $1 = 250 gold which means a months premium is $10.
If people paid the usual $15 a month like other games, they could buy a months premium and have enough gold left over to play with.
Remember a few things have a cheaper gold price in the new patches. Like consumables 50%, garage slots 50%, etc.

Tanitha: I tried playing on the Russian server the other day, my FPS was 5 and my ping was 800+ , The low FPS might be because i cant read the graphics settings in game though, I think i set them to low but I don't really know what i'm clicking Some of that might be a bad connection from Australia, but the connection to the german servers and the usa servers was/is ok.
I'll wait for ours to be updated, its not that long really.

Tanitha: They don't have to be the same. They are different databases. So they can be the same, or different.

IMO its quicker to just get another account than it is to email support to fix your old one. If you haven't started playing yet.

Tanitha: Don't buy them at the store and have 16 sitting there doing nothing : )
Instead goto the tank. click the three squares on the right, and if you want to grab a consumable for that spot, pick which one you want, it will then buy it and put it on the tank. Easy, you never have to buy them from the store.
They also have small descriptions on them too.
But mainly I use a repair kit for repairing the tracks. Which is why i put it in the middle (of the right 3) slot. which is 5 to activate (5th slot) and tracks is 5 aswell (you need to select what to repair). So its 5 5 to repair the tracks.
I have a manual fire extinguisher, which is really automatic. I guess it helps with fires : )
And a speed regulator remover (or something like that) for Russian tanks. you buy it once and it lasts forever. Except it costs you in repairs when you use it (from engine damage.)

Its either in the patch notes waiting to be put on the server, Or its coming soon.
IE reducing the amount a shell enters a tank and bounces around taking out various modules in the process etc.
Something like that anyway. I cant remember where I read it now.
But that will help a little.

Caps that are very close end in a draw.
I don't really care which way it is, I'm happy for it to be either way, so happy the way it is and still happy if it ever changes.

Tanitha: Yeah thats pretty terrible. You're not straight-rushing middle of every map are you? Or chasing arty straight away? Thats what bad scouts do.
Its not really abnormal, I'm on 690 leo games and only 5% survivability as well. It really depends on play style.
My style is get in, kill arty, then die. Earn a lot of credits per minute played, doing my job, then get into the next tank.
Its also a very good credit earner, and it was used to pay for most of my tanks.

Tanitha: You are correct, the rules are currently 4 months old, which is a long time for a beta test and a game that is continuously changing. Also its lost a bit of clarity in language conversions.
The rules started getting overhauled a couple of weeks ago. I'll check it out and make sure they get finished soon.
