CatStalker: I don't think it would really be fair to compare a beta product to tanks which has has patch after patch of improvements over it's lifespan.
Please remember though that WoWp is still under NDA, so don't get too overly chatty about it :)

CatStalker: Please remember that if you're pushed into water by a teammate it is considered abuse of physics and is a rule violation.
If you send a replay of the incident to support, they will take care of it.

I play mine as a sniper/passive scout, with binocs/camo/rammer.
I prefer the 76mm gun, but both are completely viable.

Mugsy_: Hello everyone,
Thank you very much for leaving your feedback.
As part of an ongoing effort to streamline our forum discussions we revised the way the sections were set up.
Our primary goal was to reduce the number of sections, eliminate redundancy, and make important destinations easier to find.
We'll take everyone's feedback into consideration and review these changes.
Thank you,

Mugsy_: I want to also add this quote from Jinxx, "The Spotting mechanic is another game feature that while unrealistic in the historical sense created better gameplay. Tigers would engage t-34 at 1000-2000m while this could be simulated in the game I don’t think destroying small dots in the distance is as satisfying. As for the 500m limit or any other for that matter, the longer the distance we render the more information and calculations the server will have to make. While it may be possible to increase this distance over time and our rendering and servers get better, there still be the matter of what makes the most sense for gameplay."

http://www.clanwarstimeline.com
First of all, I've added July and August. The main events during these months are the SCC's westward expansion and NDP losing Hessen (to 3E).
Now, the cooler parts.
Redesigned Statistics Layout and new feature, "Who's Who?"
The re-designed statistics view looks a bit better, and now instead of looking at the icon wondering who that was, just look in the 'Who's Who?' area on the stats window. All clans that are on the map during that day are listed alphabetically with their icon and color next to them.

Current Map Highlighter
Admittedly, this should have been there earlier. Now you can see what date you're currently viewing in the navigation pane. The current view will be highlighted so you don't lose track of what you're looking at anymore.

I understand your confusion around the spotting and camo system.
Please check out this video to learn more about those mechanics.
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=5ML4oXjG6ag
While it may not be realistic that you can, for example, see a portion of terrain but not the tank that may be parked in front of it, it is a critical part of our gameplay.
Once you understand it more or less, that frustration should be absolved.
Thanks,

Mugsy_: If you see something please be sure to report it. The GMs definitely don't play favorites. Each person is processed through the same system, even I cannot accelerate an offender being permabanned.

View PostSolono, on Nov 14 2012 - 20:01, said: Funny that, all the evidence me and my associates have posted about it gets deleted under the convenient "Discussing Mod/GM decisions" rule. The WG vicious circle: They want feedback/evidence of abuse/corruption, evidence/feedback is given at great length, it gets removed and offending poster is punished, they want feedback/evidence...

Mugsy_: If you disagree with GM sanctions I would suggest you contact Jewel_Thief. If you have some instance of abuse you feel you cannot go to JT about please message me directly any time. But our policy is not to discuss sanctions or individual account details publicly.

View PostHugh979, on Nov 14 2012 - 07:39, said: The real problem is the "set rules" don't apply equally to everyone...they have a terrible tendency to discipline the retaliatory poster instead of the one who originally started hurling insults. It is difficult though not to come to the eventual conclusion that their consistent oversight is intentional and geared toward censoring those who aren't on the cheer leading squad. A corrupt system is a corrupt system and their is no merit in placidly accepting arbitrary punishment like a sheep.

Mugsy_: The rules are enforced against anyone who breaks any rule at any time. The GMs cannot concern themselves with who started what and who escalated the conflict and why. Retaliations are persecuted just the same as instigation.
In regards to censorship, I think it is very difficult to communicate frustrations and negative feelings in a constructive way. It's kind of an advanced communication skill. So even when valuable negative feedback is put on the table, if it is packaged in profanity and rage it has to get swept off. I have made it my goal to try to find those rage posters and talk to them one on one, in hopes of sifting through their emotional outbursts to find what it is exactly we can do to improve their experience with our game and their behavior in our community. Some times this blows up in my face and I realize there isn't anything we can do to appease this person - but far more often I feel I make headway.

Mugsy_:
Firstly, I thank you for your honest feedback, and also thanks to everyone else who listed both our strengths and areas of needed improvement - this is very valuable feedback.
I think our forum moderation is actually very good. But I do have the inside track on the sheer volume of terribleness being swept away before most of the public has to be confronted by it.
And please, if you see something that breaks the rules - please take a moment to click the report button and bring it to our attention. We're happy to come in an tidy up.

Thanks again and please visit the Suggestions section to let us know how we can improve your gaming experience with us.
