Subject: After-Battle statistics changes in 8.6
Link on message: #4457496

Mugsy_: Dear all,
We want to share with you some early concepts of new UI of after battle statistics screen, which will be added in upcoming updates.
First of all, we, as always, will add more lines in detailed statistics:
'Hits received' - each shot on players vehicle counts as one hit. All ricochets, screen armour damage and non-penetration shots also counts as hits received.
'Penetrations' - all shots on player, which penetrated armour and dealt damage
'HE damage' - all splash damage dealt to player vehicle
'No damage' - all hits, on player's vehicle, which dealt no damage.
And we also make tooltips a bit more informative, since we are not quite satisfied with the data they currently provide. Attached you may see an early concept:
This is just part of upcoming updates. This Monday we will share with you some details about changes in battle mechanics.
Stay tuned!

Major_Rampage: The expansion of the gift shop to include the weekends,  created a few snags this month.
I do thank you all for you feedback,  and took a long look at what we are planning for June,  and I am making sure we see more variety,  and that gift shops will be syncing up with the specials,  and events.
Thanks again for all of you constructive criticism,  it has been very helpful in making these changes.

View PostAGK47, on May 17 2013 - 00:29, said: JT, I think there should be a private appeals section on the forums where people can communicate directly with whoever sanctioned them, and clear up misunderstandings without support being in the middle. It would ideally be set up like this:
-Link to section leads you to page where you can submit an appeal.
-You fill out appropriate info, like what you meant by the thread, or intended to say, etc.
-You send report. Reports can only be viewed by you, affiliated parties (if any), and WG employees/mods
-Reports may only be officially replyed to by mods, but may be commented on privately by affiliated parties (Mods can see comments, but not the defendant)
-Mod who issued sanction may repeal, or commute sanction, but if they choose not to, members of Mod/GM team votes on it if serious.
-Appeals only allowed once every 24 hours unless given permission by mod in case of error.
This is merely a thought, and is not meant to criticize WG, or employees of WG. What do you think, JT?

Jewel_Thief: I think it's a great idea-- but we already have a system in place-- and by registering for our game/forum, you have already agreed to it... See our Forum Rules:

Quote 2. PROHIBITIONS and RESTRICTIONS
...
2.8 Discussing disciplinary actions
This category includes:
1. Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player in game or on the forums
2. Creating posts or threads to discuss moderators or moderator decisions and actions
Such disputes or appeals are to be lodged to (World of Tanks Support)

Jewel_Thief: The folks in Support are suuuuper thorough in their investigations, and are, for all intents and purposes, an impartial party to the matter... As such, our appeals process is working just fine. :)
Best,
~JT

http://imgur.com/ is on approved list and they allow you to paste original URL of the pic you want to fetch (so no need to download and re-upload). Takes exactly 3 extra seconds to post a pic  :glasses:
The first 2 are related to broken search index that hasn't been rebuilt in a month. Forum admins probably have a ticket open with IP.Board for that too, but it's probably low priority.

Jewel_Thief: ^^this. :)
We have an L1 ticket in wtih our tech support folks... who, in turn, have tickets open with IPS... It's a fairly well-known issue with the IP.Board software, sadly. :(

If I want to post a picture here, I have to either upload it to this forum (which would be pretty useless), or upload it to either Tinypic.com or Imageshack.com. There are probably other sites too, but those are the 2 sites I’ve managed to find that are allowed to work in this forum.

Jewel_Thief: We understand that this is frustrating-- but it was announced a while back that we have a "whitelist" for safe sites to use for photo upload and linking here in our forums. You can see the announcement, from back in January, here.  (The most common upload sites are already included on our whitelist. i.e.: imgur, photobucket, imageshack, flickr, dropbox, etc.)

They keep giving me the same lip service. "We are aware and it has been escalated." In other words...they don't have a clue as usual and are likely to do nothing about it as it does not cut into their revenues.

Jewel_Thief: Fritz,
Yes, it is a known issue. We don't fix these types of things here in house, so we are waiting on a response from our technical support team. We have an L1 ticket in on the issue. (This is the highest level of priority.)
Unfortunately, this feature tends to go down with every major forum patch (mattwong had it right:  it has to do with indexing glitches)... this time it seems to have gone down for good. Again, it is a known issue, and is being worked on.

The reason we switched over to not using individual names is to present a united front, since we are all one big team, working from the same policies and procedures. This does NOT change the fact that you have the right to appeal the decision-- but you MUST use the proper method:  send in a ticket to Support.

Otherwise, generally constructive thread closed for no reason.

Allurai, Garbad has also complained of a similar initiative of his being locked.
My question to Jewel Thief, do you have any intention of getting the mods in order so they stop locking constructive threads? That thread was an example of what you should be encouraging. Your mod should have banned the users who made jerkass statements. Instead they locked the thread.

I have not been using premium shells, but I had not noticed that I was already out of AP shells and apparently in the end of the game it charged me for 6 HE shells that I shot and for 19 AP shells. Sorry for confusion and your time. Thanks for help though, good reply speed.

Yoott: phew /tinfoil hats off

GeneralDirection: Here are the perks of working for Wargaming:We can purchase removed premium vehicles like the Type 59 and KV-5, assuming our account has the gold to purchase it. This does not include alpha/beta tanks, the pre-order tanks, those tier 10s that were on the Common Test, or any unreleased tanks. Those are off limits, even for us.
We get to work for an amazing company that is doing awesome stuff--not just in video games. Who'd imagine when they applied for a company that makes games, that they would actively participate (and in some cases design) initiatives to preserve history?
We get to have red names in garage chat.
We get to sometimes travel to other countries to meet the development teams and our colleagues across the world. Here are the restrictions:We're not allowed to participate in eSports tournaments. The exception being the Escalation event this past weekend, which was designed as a casual tournament that we wanted to field a team for. We tied for second in our group, so I'm fairly proud of our team.
We're not allowed to defend land in Clan Wars. We can participate in landing tournaments, but if we win the land, we can't defend it. We haven't done this yet, but we're thinking of some fun ideas to run random stuff where we mix things up on the map a bit.
We're not allowed to participate in contests or in-game events (except for the obvious x5 first victory, vehicle discounts, etc.). If we place in automated events like this past weekend's MVP, we're excluded and the next person in line is included instead.
We have to unlock and purchase all vehicles like everyone else. We also have to earn crew experience and purchase equipment like everyone else.
We do not get any special kind of ammo, or camouflage (except during sheriff events). We also have to purchase premium ammo just like everyone else.
We cannot select maps, except for a limited developer flagged account. Those accounts are generally used to create the trailers and other videos we release, so very few people actually have that account flag. It's actually primarily dummy accounts only used for videos.
We don't get premium account status by default; we have to purchase it with our gold. So basically, except for the ability to purchase removed premiums, we're players just like you.

CatStalker: i did some potential math for you.
4x 1030 = 4120 2x 650 = 1300 5x 4000 = 20000 total = 25420.
my guess would be that perhaps in a previous game you used 5 premium shells, but couldn't afford the auto-reload after that game.
then in this game you shot 4 reg, 2 he, and also had enough credits to refill the premium ammo from before.
Just because it was bothering me, and the OP was sure that premium shells weren't used:
19x 1030 = 19570 9x 650 = 5850 total = 25420

CatStalker: Just because a patent is owned does not mean it is implemented in the current system.
